So, who here on CAG is into KoL?

This was being discussed in the OTT, but I figured a topic would generate more discussion and other non-OTTers.

Level, ascensions, familiars, class, shit you're proud of- whatever you've got, discuss it here!

Don't think so, Sweeney. Only a few people have the ability to (level 7+), and no one has.

Wish they would, though. :\

Don't think so.
I got my pastamancer up to 4, and I started a Disco Bandit, which I also got up to level 4. So, I doubt it will be me who starts it. :)

I've been playing for a long time, and have a clan. It's pretty much just my close friends and I, though. If you're on there, do a /whois on either RedSix or Meat_Mascot. They're both long established characters. Great game. More fun once you get further into it.

im on lvl 6 right now, gimme a day and i believe i can make it to seven. At that point ill start something (price permitting)

oh yeah, a little trick 6ers taught me:

1. Get some chewing gum on a string, use it at the sewers to get Worthless stuff (trinkets, gew-gads, etc.) This takes 1 adventure per trinket, and sometimes you don't get the worthless stuff

2. Buy some hermit permits

3. Go to the hermitage, trade the worthless items to get 10-leaf clovers (only available on certain days)

4. Go to the Cobb's Knobb Treasury. Everytime you adventure with a 10-leaf clover in your inventory, you'll get a Dense Meat Stack, worth 1000 meat if you sell it (Going to the treasury takes another adventure)

made a cool 20,000meat today thanks to that... too bad i spent it on spells

What's your character named? I'll send you some helpful stuff.

Good cheap food? Once you get going, the more expensive foods (Chow Meins, Hell Ramen, Lo and Hi Meins) are really worth it. Sure, they're expensive, but they yield far more adventures and stats, which you can easily earn the meat to pay for them with.

I'll send 2 Hell Ramen to the first 3 players who post here that they want some. Just post your KOL name. GO!

I'm a Seal Clubber, name is Lenoroc. Level 4 Ermine Thumper. Pleaseee send me a clan invite if you start one. I'll suck yo

Wow. that kind of stinks...
My Level 5 Pastamancer gets OHKO'd on A battlefield, Farsnworthy's Tower, A "Fun" House, South of the Border, and anywhere inside Cobb Nobb.

That's why I'm trying to build up the cash to get myself the pastamastery skill to summon dry noodles.... of course, it's slow going, as the most advanced place I can survive and win fights in is the bat hole. Poor jack s, lvl 5 pastamancer. :)

I know that the money rolls in as soon as you can hit the treasury on 10 leaf clover days... any suggestions on what to do and how to equip myself until then? (Right now I have the dolphin kings' crown, Dr Hobo Jones' Scapel, Cloaca Cola Shield, Slug King's pants, Pine air freshener, Shiny Ring, and Dead man's watch (bought out of the flea market for the extra adventure a day it gives))

I've been playing for a long time and, as such, my main character is a Level 13 Seal Clubber on his 5th Ascension (Softcore).

I have a few multis I should be losing very shortly, so let me know if you want anything from them since I mostly used them for random things. And no, before you give me the evil eye, I mostly used them for the secret stuff that gets rolled out in order to contribute to the community (ie: the semi-recent "new" fairy familiars).

Weapons, armor, random items, food...let me know, I'll hook you up if I have extras and you don't ask for the sun and the moon. Message "Firschair" through KMail with your needs.

If you don't mind, that would probably help with the OHKO issue I've been having. jack s is the character name.

On your first run through the game, I'd try to get a good number of different familiars, to fill your terrarium. They stay when you ascend (that is, kill the Naughty Sorceress and start over, keeping a skill permanently), and they all do different things. If you're going for meat, use a Leprechaun. If you're going for stats, use a Blood-Faced Volleyball, and so on. Honestly, try to ascend for the first time as soon as possible, as you gain access to a new area when you do.

The process of getting meat from clover days at the treasury is good at low levels, but after a certain point is not worth it stats-wise. When you get to a high enough level, you can farm the Icy Peak for meat. That's where the real meat is.

The mall is great once you get access, too.

BTW, I sent some stuff to those who requested it.

Feel free to send a /msg if you see me on there on any of my characters:

RedSix
Meat_Mascot
DarthPlagueis

okay, finally made it to level 7. Now we're going to have to think of a name... anyone have any suggestions? It could just be Cheapass Gamers, or we could think of something a little more clever (Knights of CheapyD, perchance?)

That'd work. Send an invite in KoL under the name, Mike23. :D

what'd you end up naming it?

I'm level 11- user names pamphlets_smell
if the CAG clan grows enough I'll leave my current clan for it
I felt so special last night playing the brand new quest minutes after it was introduced.

haven't yet. I'd prefer something that would fit with the game's humor.

ill give it a few hours for someone to think of a clever name, but everyone will get invitations once i make it

It shouldn't be too hard, and I think you're the only CAG at level 7.
...I'm level 18....
oh great giant enemy crab, would you take the responsility of running a clan from this poor, meatless fool. I will not be here next week and can't even think of a good Credo...

First I need to find out how to leave a clan I'm in. I started this game some 2 years ago or so, and one of my friends (he's running around on here now) had a clan his college buddies had made. So I joined that.

In the meantime, everyone stopped playing when they reached the end of the game (or what it was at that time), so they all stopped playing. This was 1.5 years ago (January 2005).

I stopped playing as well. Only recently have people become interested in it again, and someone said I ought to check on my guy since I had bought a Mr. Accessory (donated $10 to the game).

Well, lo and behold, my guy is still there, so I'm rolling a lv18 pastamancer. I'm told the big thing now is Ascension, which is like transmutation from Disgaea, where I go back to level 1 and do all the old quests again.

So I'll prolly do that.

Additionally, that first friend I mentioned has started again, and I dunno, but he might have a new clan now. But it would just be him and another friend of ours (they are BKPartisan and MarioColbert on here, respectively), but I can't imagine us being more than our three players (unless we get our gfs hooked, which, ehh, maybe we can).

In any case I'm going to ask them if they just want to head up the CAGclan, especially since they've become somewhat active people around here.

I'll get back to you in da mornin'....

My character DarthPlagueis is level 31. Do not mess with him.

cook batgut with spices (you should have tons of spices if you did the clover farming with the hermit)
also, anyone know a cheap food that gives a lot of Adventures?
Main: Partisan, lv.8 Turtle Tamer
Alt: Wizzlor, lv.6 Pastamancer

MarioColbert and I have already formed a clan called Brothers of the Smash. I wish we would have thought about CAG involvement before forming under that name, but we have a calendar, meat tree, and almost ful gym already. I would be happy to go to a new clan for CAGs, but if everyone is cool with Brothers of the Smash, we can go with that. Don't let the name fool you, ladies, we would love to have some females join! ;-)

Especially boo! :p

If it's cool with you all, I will go ahead and start inviting those that have already posted their names. If you would like to be invited and have not received the invitation yet, post or pm me your KoL name.

Anyway to edit the clan name or give it a subtitle or something? Brothers of the Smash: The Men of Massive Damage. :p

I'm kinda for the using BotS (haha what a cool acronym that makes) as the official CAGClan personally, since I know these guys IRL, and it would be nice to smash around with them on KoL.

Anyone else up for it?

Ok, I added everyone to the whitelist. This means that if you apply to join "Brothers of the Smash," you will be automatically accepted. I cannot send direct invitations (to my knowledge).

Also, if you need to leave your current clan you just go to the membership roster and it should be an option at the bottom.
