Kingdom Under Fire - $9.97 at Sears

Thanks, OP. For anyone interested call first because a lot of these got cleared out when it dropped to $12.50 a couple of months ago. So it might be hard to find it in stock.
What happened to this game? It was so highly anticipated and then delayed but it is so cheap... waht gives?
I only played it for an hour... but it seemed somewhat rushed. The back of the box says custom soundtracks but it's NOT a feature... and I think the developer never really delivered on the online aspect of the game or downloadable content.

Darn, I bought 2 copies for $12.98 at Sears last year... now it's even cheaper! Could have saved $6!
Blinx 2 and Outrun 2 are both priced at 14.99 the last time I went to Sears yesterday.
I know. I want them for 9.99 each.

Are some Sears still running the 50% off pink tag clearance items? The $9.97 price was on a pink tag but my Sears never took part in the 50% off sale.

I am so pissed! I really wanted this game so bad for awhile now and what a perfect price to jump in on it. So, I drive 20 miles to my local Sears and see one copy sitting behind the case. My heart starts pounding and I start salivating. There was no sales rep around but I finally found one after ten minutes looking around. My jaw dropped when he said, "Sorry, I have no key!". So, I am like, "Well I am sure the manager does". He is like, "Nope. We can't locate the employee who has the key! Sorry". What the shaq fu!!! I've lost out other deals or been shot down before but this takes the cake! I should write a letter and bitch about this. What a way to run a damn business!!! ARGH!!!

I could be wrong, but I think part of the reason games like KUF, Blinx 2 and Outrun 2 drop so fast in price is because of the Xbox retail service that employees can use to take quizes and get games cheap. All 3 of those games are available through their website in addition to others that seem to drop in price fast like Fable, Rallisport, Grabbed by the Ghoulies, etc.

Kingdom Under Fire has some seriously sweet arse music. That combined with awesome battles makes the game well worth it. Not too many people on LIVE though.

Can anyone confirm this? Last time I was at Sears, it was $15.99. It's worth buying again for 10 bucks but not 16.

Didn't you see that others haave bought one?

The game is pretty good if you have some time to play the game uninterupted. It does take some time to really get into, but I have enjoyed the game and pay 15 or less for it!!!

I can also confirm the price. A few days ago I almost bought the game at BB for $15 after the GGC coupon. I decided against it at the time, but yesterday changed my mind and went back. They were sold out and I was kicking myself for it, but I tried Sears in an act of desperation for a cheap copy (this was before this topic was posted) since I knew they had it for cheap back in December. They had a lone copy priced $9.97, which made me a happy camper indeed.

Thanks to the OP for posting this, I snagged a copy yesterday. Does anyone know for sure that Outrun 2 does not ring up for $9.97 as well? I'll go back today to pick it up if it's $9.97 too.

I highly encourage everyone to pick it up at this price. I can't think of too many games under $10 better than this. We need more tactical action games like this for consoles.

I have to say that this is one of my favorite games for the Xbox. I bought it the week it came out for full price (and I never do that...), and I dont regret it. The strategic elements are pretty well done, and I generally found the interface to be solid. The only thing thats terrible about the game is the English voice acting, but you can switch to the original Korean should you choose.

Its just a blast. It combines action, RTS, and role playing (upgrading troops, weapons, etc) pretty flawlessly. Furthermore, the music just fits the game well, so the lack of custom soundtracks doesnt bother me.

I played this game for about 10 minutes and I enjoyed what little I played of it. Its pretty unique for the Xbox. I plan to play it some more when I am done with Doom 3

Confirmed, finally tracked someone down to actually scan the barcode and it was $9.97 and not the $29.99 I was told on the last trip.
I did buy it.
