Hey guys, got an email today indicating that sywr points that have been accumulated are worth triple when being redeemed in store. If you are like me, you haven't been in Kmart since Josh left and have some still sitting in your account.

I have $3.xx but if I redeem they are worth $10.xx. Great opportunity for anyone sitting on points though. If you have $20 worth in points that's a free new release, plus Borderlands 2 is offering $20 back in value, so with that you would get $80 in value for your $20 in points.

It looks like it may just be specific people that get the offer, so I guess just keep an eye on your email. I know I usually delete SYWR emails without looking at them.

Hurry, your points are worth 3x for a limited time!

These emails aren't sent to all members. I got one during one of the last promos they ran, but nothing in another one.

I didn't get this email either. Anyone aware of an external link or is it an "invitation only" type deal? I remember them having a similar offer during one of the recent holiday seasons (or maybe they do this EVERY christmas?) and I'm pretty sure that one was advertised all over the place.

I did get an email for "you have $5 worth of free points through 9/24", it would be pretty sweet to be able to turn that $5 into $15. Sadly, a "free" $5 is not even really worth a special trip to the store. But $15 would be.

Actually I just checked my account history, and last Christmas there was "5x points multiplier for select members". So I guess this is indeed likely to be "invitation only" as well. I wonder what you have to do to qualify? My guess is probably at least reach VIP silver or gold. Last year I spent alot at KMART and was easily in one of these levels, this year I've spent almost nothing and I'm still in the " VIP bonus" category which is less than silver. So I guess that explains why almost ever week I keep getting "you have free $5 to come to KMART", and why I didn't get this deal. ;)

It would probably be a good idea for me to buy something at KMART or Sears, those 5x multipliers are unbelievable deals come Christmas time. I remember last Christmas wishing I had just "hoarded" my points all year instead of only leaving myself like $20 at the end (which still amounted to $100). But imagine having $100 in points and being able to turn that into $500+. Of course without KMARTGAMER, there isn't much to get me interested in going to a KMART at all...

I got two different emails. One giving me 5 free dollars and another that gives you:

$5 that renews every time you redeem instore towards a $50 purchase.

Redeem your $6.03 worth of Points, plus
earn 5,000 Points
on every purchase of $50 or more with redemption.
Redeem through 09/30/12, again and again and again!

I got the $5.00 on household items email. I don't suppose the Sony display is a household item?

From my past experience, if the points have been added to your account you can use them to purchase anything even if it mentions a specific department.

they had a good thing with josh they just killed it. they are not aggressive anymore. What good are points when deals are so far and few between

I forgot my pin so I wasn't able to redeem my points when I was there this past weekend (ended up purchasing TF Prime Starscream). Gonna have to swing back there this weekend and find something else to spend my ~$10 points on.

Also got my anniversary points (just gotta spend $35 and get another $10 worth of points) by EOM October.

Luckily in central CT there are 2 K-Marts within 20 minutes of each other.

Yeah, you can request your PIN on the website. I had to do that since I lost mine. I ended up ordering a copy of Resident Evil 5 for PS3. However, if you buy off the website, you have to allow them to charge your credit card for shipping, which was only 99 cents for RE5.

Ok I was wondering why Kmart doesn't have the awesome credit deals like they did before for a while. So the guy in charge of that left thus no more good deals I see?
