Below is a survey that we are looking for input on that will qualify you to be a potential participant in our Kmartgamer.com reinvention meetings. They will be paid focus groups. You do not have to be local to Chicago.

Have at it! It should take about 20 minutes:

^ I Participated. I look forward to good things in the futures. I'm glad you're branching out.

I filled out the survey. Worth a try, and KMart really has been firing on cylinders compared to other stores lately. I always take a look at what KMart has up its sleeve for any upcoming titles.

Does it tell you right away you are selected?

It told me it would like to let me participate "based on my answers", so I gave my info, etc.

Don't think it means I am chosen.

Josh, is there any way to clarify this? It told me the same thing

Already have a request into the user experience team to provide an update. I've also requested permission to hold a separate discussion with a few people as well if our budget allows it.

Participated in the survey.

I actually just got chosen to participate in a Playstation brand meeting in Boston. 2 hours for $125 bucks. Holla!

Ok, thanks!

Sorry to anyone waiting on inventory requests right now...it's been a mad rush here to get a lot done before I am officially snowed in for the rest of the day and tomorrow - they're basically kicking everyone out of the office today by 2.

Have fun with all that while those of us in sunnier climates enjoy the 70s! :)

Just added you to my ignore list......just kidding of course.......still hate you a little :)

I got a call from one of my buddies in Naples, FL saying the same thing while we brace for a blizzard and I think I was the first person that successfully punched a man through a phone.

Well, let's see if I get selected. I hope so, as I would like to contribute. I really couldn't care less if it was paid or not. Fingers crossed.
It took me about 15 minutes. The hardest part was selecting something I did not like about a game I was currently playing. There isn't much I dislike about the games I am currently playing.

I also feel like putting that I am a white male under 25 probably hurt my chances. What I put is honest, but I am a dime a dozen. Now if I put I was an african-american female who is 45 and makes $250,000 a year........now that would get me admitted.

Hey, Chicago is a great city I hear, so even if you have to deal with 6 months of winter and then blazing heat in the summer....wait nevermind... :)

No one has been selected to participate yet. They could have been selected to be screened, and would then be contacted by our research team for further evaluation and final selection.
i mean seriously, why not tell the person who might actually be able to help you out with an employee/deal instead of coming in here and bashing a person who really isn't in the department of whipping employees into shape? anyways enough with my rant, sorry there altanis that i left you manning the fort by yourself the wife wanted some "quality time" together whatever the hell that means  lol.

p.s. honey if you're reading this i love you! ;)
It's all good. I still don't get why people think Josh can magically change everything at store level. Unless you personally tell the manager that Cashier A is a complete bitch to customers or that Worker C was loafing around for 30 minutes while you waited to make a $300 purchase, nothing will change.
Note: I am not advocating exaggeration of the problems. Be 100% truthful with the manager. But at least talk to the fricking manager if things are that bad.

I just noticed that you were from the shithole wonderful area that is Tampa Bay/New Tampa/Wesley Shithole, err, Chapel. Tampa CAGs represent in this thread :D. (I'm a Tampa CAG at heart, I swear).

Heh, I'm currently in Tallahassee and it's 68 outside apparently. You can't feel it though cause there's a fricking wind. It's nonstop. While the weather won't compete with how bad Chicago is about to be screwed, it's going to be nasty on Wednesday/Thursday. Rain all day and maybe hit 45. Sounds fun.

I got a call from one of my buddies in Naples, FL saying the same thing while we brace for a blizzard and I think I was the first person that successfully punched a man through a phone.
 About the only good thing about being in Florida is that we get maybe 2 weeks of winter weather a year. Except the last 12 months or so. It just got above 60 for a high temp here the other day for the first time in like 2 months or something. We hit 70 over the weekend. It was awesome.

Every city/state has its good and bad. But I think I would rather be able to get out of my house every day when I feel like it. Feel free to move out of FL since we have plenty moving in and don't need any one who doesnt want to be here. :)

Aww. Oh well. Still can't wait to find out if I'm in or not.

At least you are trying to change things.

Actually, there aren't plenty of people moving in. That's the biggest problem in the state right now (okay, the biggest behind unemployment, foreclosures, and the economy still being in the toilet, among about 50 other items).

I'm happy enough with Florida. I just don't particularly like this particular area.

Cause a nicca aint got time for calls when he at work.
Awesome! Thanks for jumping on this guys. Could be epic. If you are chosen, which will not be right away, you'll really get what we are trying to do here. Very different.
Signed up for this too, hoping to get chosen like many of the other people!

Done and done. Gave my info, so we'll see how that goes. Would be exciting to help contribute to this project. :bouncy:
It's that amazing ability of not being able to read that keeps popping up.
I think we should start a reading for beginners class on CAG. I can see it now:
Class 1: An Introductory course to understanding and reading basic English.
Class 2: Understanding deals in basic English.
Class 3: Learning how to read before asking Questions.

Three step program to great success on CAG.

I see that MvC3 will come with 25,000 SYWR ($25). Does this mean that the next time I make a purchase at KMart, I can use the $25 like a giftcard?

Maybe.

It all depends on whether the bonus points are applied to your SYWR card correctly or not.
Maybe.

Why would it not? Is there an issue with this?

Alright Altanis, you made that mess, now clean it up.
Why would it not? Is there an issue with this?
Sometimes things happen. Just like sometimes things don't ring up the correct amount, sometimes bonus points don't work how they should. All you need to know really. Well, that and to check your receipt when you get it.

However, 99.99% of the time, things will work just fine. Odds are you won't be missing your points. I never have had points missing.

Any chance of Two Worlds 2 for the 360 coming back in stock on the website?

EDIT: Before the sale ends of course.
Why would it not? Is there an issue with this?
Yes, the points will work on your next purchase.

Pay no attention to Atlanta. I'm not sure why he even bothered replying your post.

oh ok, thank you. i figured that might be the case. so far, all of my purchases have credited fine. lastly, is there a limit as to how many i can buy? if i buy 2, will the both credit? and would i need to do separate transactions?

as far as limits go, josh has said there will be a 2 limit BUT i don't think its setup just yet so theres no limit just don't be a douche and try and buy all of them lol.. separate transaction would be the best thing to do.

Josh said that there would be a limit of 2 per customer (I'm guessing that's 2 per SYWR card) for the SYWR points deals.

As I said, sometimes things happen. There are still people that never got their bonus points from COD Black Ops when that promo was running. Like I said though, most likely nothing will go wrong. As with anything though, there's a chance you'll have an issue and won't have the points credit correctly. This is purely common sense, nothing more. If people had issues with COD:BO and that was a one-time deal, that lends itself that when there are two monthsof SYWR points deals there will be isolated problems. Key word being isolated.

And yes, if you buy 2 you would need to do separate transactions. Just like you have always needed to do to get the deal on more than 1 copy.
Josh said that there would be a limit of 2 per customer (I'm guessing that's 2 per SYWR card) for the SYWR points deals.
Really? I never caught that. I guess it's a good thing that I only need two and that two CEs will be there for me.
I wonder if that is across multiple platforms or what though. I'm only buying a copy for a deployed friend, but I know there are people out there who are planning on buying MvC3 for their PS3 and 360. Would one for each platform count as your two? It's the same deal.
Really? I never caught that. I guess it's a good thing that I only need two and that two CEs will be there for me.
You guys gotta give me more credit. It's not like I just make up these things. Yes, Josh really did say that there was a limit of 2 per customer. I'll try to find the post he said it in.

ETA: FOUND IT!
One thing that may not be popular with the SYWR deals in Feb. and the pending approval Mar. offers is that we will set a restriction for limit 2 per customer.

When the unique barcodes come out at the end of Mar. it will be the same as well.
(The red font is my emphasis, not Josh's). Took me what, 3-4 minutes to find? AND CAG was running slow for some reason during that time.

IDEA:
Josh, can you add that (the limit 2 per customer bit) to one of your posts? It would help.
was able to price match the god of war deal at target (had a gift card there) thanks kmartgamer \\:D/
Why thank Kmart? You bought the game at Target.
I feel bad for you guys with shitty Kmarts, that sale price sign posted above for TW2 is posted for every sale item, blog and circular, at my Kmart first day of the sale. They always have a healthy stock of point cards, never have had the computer not ring up a sale correctly, nor have I ever been hassled with coupons. The only problem I ever run into is occasionally getting someone to electronics but normally someone is there, and usually knowledgeable about sales.
With how demanding I am as a consumer, i've noticed a change in my electronics department since Josh came aboard. Usually electronics was a ghost town, and I always had to go look for the most random person to try to get someone in there. Then i'd have to ask for a game, and they'd either tell me that it wasn't available or they never got it. Even if their system said they had four in stock, they wouldn't budge. I even had a manager behind my tail trying to get me for doing SOMETHING wrong. All these new coupons frightened him. One day he told me that he had them all in his office, because I was supposedly the only one that ever used them and ever purchased any games.

Nowadays, they're all friendly, and every single time I go there's someone in there. I like to think I helped the store develop a little more.

Done. So does this entire thing about not being local to Chicago mean it's an online deal, or that there's going to be individual focus groups in different areas of the US?

because I wouldnt be able to price match if they didnt made the deal ;)
