So you're going to brag, in a thread staffed by 2 KMart reps, about using their deals to pricematch at a competitor.

:applause: Really, really, nice job.

Note: There's a bit of sarcasm in there.

You're kind of an idiot aren't you?

(I just couldn't hold my tongue.)

Even though I know i'm rather far from Chicago I went ahead and filled out the survey for you Josh. I hope you get some good responses so you can get a good group.
I said i had a gift card guys jeez!
Your point? So you had a gift card. Congratufrickinglations. What do you want, a cookie?

Note: I don't give away cookies. So you're not getting a cookie whether you answer yes or no to that second question.

Josh, I have a question. How much control do you have over what Kmart.com prices video game stuff at?
I've noticed that about every other day for the last 2-3 weeks they have changed the price of a DS Lite charger from $12.99 down to $2.35, and then the next day they go back up to $12.99, then the process begins all over again. Aside from the $6.95 shipping (I thought video games items had 99 cents shipping?) that's a great deal for a legit DS Lite charger.
I've picked up 3 so far (using a ShipVantage trial), 2 for my nephews since they already lost one :bomb: and one for a friend who lost his somewhere in his apartment. Total ended up being under $8 for all three, which is cheaper than even the eBay knockoffs- part of the reason I am asking about this.
I'm just wondering if you know about that, or what? It's really weird to see the prices on stuff basically do a roller coaster thing every couple days.
Your point? So you had a gift card. Congratufrickinglations. What do you want, a cookie?

Atlantis,

Who made you king of the world man?! We don't need your sarcastic remarks all the time. Keep them to yourself...some people just want to post and have fun you don't have to put down people all the time with your comments.
if i didnt had the gift card then i would have totally bought the games at kmart
You don't ned to give Atlantis any explanation man. Good job.
You don't ned to give Atlantis any explanation man. Good job.
He doesn't.

But common courtesy would state that you don't brag about pricematching at another store.

Oh come on, common courtesy flew out the window a LONG time ago in this thread.

We're now to the part where people brag about scamming the company and otherwise just generally taking advantage of them.
He doesn't.

Correct but it is the sarcasm that bothers me. It is not necessary.

Critical thinking.... I'm willing to bet that most Kmart's had three copies of GOW Collection and GOW III tops. My store had two of each at the beginning of the week. Had Kmart not put these in the flier I'm sure many interested customers wouldn't have gotten the deal. Yes it sucks they had to get it elsewhere but it also kind of sucks that Kmart would advertise a phenomenal deal and have such crappy stock. For example, I know my Kmart only had 1 PSP 3000 core bundle and it sold on Sunday. I'd be pissed if I was a consumer that wanted one and I knew they only had one available at the start of the promotion. That is worse then BB offering amazing door busters on Black Friday and only having one of the item.

Regardless, this is all suppose to be constructive criticism.

Any chance that the God Of War collection will come back in stock online before the end of the sale with God Of War 3? I'd like to buy this myself if I can and save some cash. :)
Correct but it is the sarcasm that bothers me. It is not necessary.
Neither is people posting questions that are answered in Josh's first posts, either.

If it's that big of a deal to you, do what others have done and put me on ignore.

No cags playing Two Worlds 2??

Its actually a really cool game. You can tell they didn't have the biggest budget for voice acting or animation but they really improved over that first awful game.

feel that two worlds 2 is underrated. sure its not the biggest game of the year material but its actually a decent game. waiting for the royal edition fro topware to show up sometime this week. ps3 though ;)

Hey, if your kmart doesn't have whatever is on sale and you have to PM, then PM it. Or even if you have a gift card somewhere, that's fine. Do what you gotta do.

But what you don't do is jump into this thread and thank SHC for having the deal so you could go PM it at their competitor. That's just a dick move. And either you're a goddamn moron for doing that or trollish.

It looks very interesting and I'm gonna get to it eventually but Dead Space 2 just came out and TW2 isn't a high profile gotta get to it now type game I think for most people. But I'm glad to hear positive things on it.

That is completely different from sarcasm. People simply want some questions answered or they want to post something. It is not a job for these people. Listen to your own advice and start to ignore them. That is better than childish sarcastic comments.

Man, once again I wish I lived closer to Chicago. I would be all about focus grouping it up with Josh and crew. Plus it would be good experience considering I'm getting a Marketing degree. Oh well.

I understand but I think SHC is smart enough to read through the BS and be able to tell when people are trying to goat him and when people generally are frustrated with Kmart and expressing their issues and concerns.

I was able to get in on this but I knew it wouldn't last past day two. I went with a friend to Target and encourage him to try and PM but he was turned down because Target considered it a Bundle deal and they explained to him that they only straight up PM single items

It's like Amazon's marketplace. Sears.com and Kmart.com not only advertise their own stuff, but stuff from other 'etailers' as well. If you filtered it down to Sears and Kmart only, you'd see the amount of stuff available go down drastically. The chargers might still be eBay knockoffs, so keep an eye out on that.

You're right. I'm sure he is able to tell the difference between constructive criticism and BS. But it doesn't make the BS any better. If you worked hard to get a deal in place, the last thing you'd want is to hear someone talking about PMing it at a competitor. (I hope you realize I specifically referring to Vault Dweller's post and not other feedback about this deal.)

I think I posted pretty clearly that I'd bought 3 of them.

It was sold directly by Kmart.com, which is why I asked in the first place whether Josh had any control, and if so (or not), if he knew that someone in the team was screwing with the prices of their products, like clockwork.

Now, Phenomic, I know you're a fellow FSU student, and I know that this place is lacking in some... fundamental courses, but you gotta read better. You don't have to be near Chicago to be considered. :) Go ahead and fill out the survey. Worst that happens is that you wasted a few minutes of your time.

I was already chosen but good call. We're too damn far from Chicago was more my point. Plane Tickets + Hotel + Food = Expensive. Tuition is around Two Grand a semester, which you should know fine and well. I can't be gallivanting off partying it up in the big city.

Hey! It's all due to a new price scraping tool that is being worked on. There are various project getting worked on that will play a role in the Kmartgamer.com project.

The 99 cent shipping is software only.....that will also have to change.

Yeah, Tallahassee is a hell of a ways from Chicago. It does all add up pretty quickly. As for tuition, yeah, I got hit this semester for $2400 after it all. Bright Futures and an FSU grant though covered it all thankfully.

On a different note, have you been to the Kmart here recently? I pretty much gave up on them after the experience I had trying to get Epic Mickey, DQ9, and Golden Sun back at the start of December, but I'm heading there Friday, and am curious if anything's changed in the last 2 months or so.

Ah, thanks for the answer. I was just wondering if it was a gimmick or something. I noticed that last night it was back. The charger in question is also placed in among the DS games on the site.

Aside from the shipping, it's great. Plus, on all 3 there's been nothing but positive reviews so it was a great deal for the price. Much better than paying $3 for a knockoff on eBay.

The groups sessions will be web based actually.

Question kinda got buried. So I'll ask again:

Any chance of kmart.com restocking the 360 version of Two Worlds 2 before the sale ends?
It looks very interesting and I'm gonna get to it eventually but Dead Space 2 just came out and TW2 isn't a high profile gotta get to it now type game I think for most people. But I'm glad to hear positive things on it.
I bought both DS2 and TW2 and I have actually been playing TW2 more. Played TW2 the first night, played DS2 the next night I had time for gaming then have been playing TW2 ever since.
Have fun with all that while those of us in sunnier climates enjoy the 70s! :)
I have a "friend" that lives in Florida that is jealous of our snow...crazy. She also loves taunting me about it. I think I will do the same if they get a hurricane later on this year.

Now Atlantis, if you were answering this and it was someone else's question, here would be your response:

Now I know you can read so please go back to the website and repeat the following phrase: 99 cent shipping on software only, 99 cent shipping on software only, etc.

Josh, on the other hand, simply stated facts in a professional manner. Follow his lead and remember this post. Thanks.

Since that's the case, i'm pretty surprised that the prices were that low. Only reason I pointed out third party sellers is because they're usually the only ones with prices like that.

One thing I do dig about price matching is that I'm usually able to negotiate deals that many other competitors have not thought of. Every time someone price matches at a retailer it is at that retailer's loss.

Now I'm not saying, "yay, go shop somewhere else and I can't wait to hear about it," but I do always like sticking it to them in some way.

Yeah, I bought LBP2 and my friend got Dead Space 2. 45 each and split the difference. Good news is they redid the cases. Everything is now faced sideways so the titles names are showing and they can hold a lot more content in them. Instead of having all the games laying down. The other good news was they had Dead Space 2 and LBP 2 both stocked properly, which wasn't happening during all of the Christmas season. So I was fairly impressed.

The girl in the back was fairly helpful as she always is. Only thing that went wrong was the deal didn't ring up correctly. So I had to go up to the front where no one knew what was going on. One of the employees pretty much called me a liar, which I've never seen her before but I proved her wrong so in the end who cares. Friend had his I-Phone so it made it less of a hassle proving that LBP came with 50% another 59.99 and DS2 came with the PSN Card.

Probably not though I won't rule it out; we run through a distributor online and I know Southpeak is responding to the title selling better than forecasted.

To be honest, it wasn't meant to be an online special :)

Glad to hear that they finally did that. My god, the DS case especially was god awful. There were games piled behind games that weren't even anywhere near the same, among other things. You had a copy of Blue Dragon Plus for $29.99 up front on the top shelf, which was hiding like 4 copies of Mario Kart DS behind it. The other cases were just as terrible.

Glad to hear though. Let's hope it all goes well Friday. I'm looking for nothing in particular, mostly just gonna browse.
Wouldn't higher sales figures be the better revenge? :)
Oh, yes, that is the sweetest revenge. Especially against Target. Wasted potential.

Alright thanks.
Any chance on find out if the stores in my around my area have a copy? Bout an hour and half drive roundtrip just to find nothing but disappointment

DS stock has to be a nightmare for every retailer.

It's even worse to browse as a customer. You have to look through 10 shitty pet games to get to one title you might be interested in.. Gonna be seeing DS stock sitting in stores until 2020 I bet.
You could have saved gas and an hour and a half had you simply called in advance.
I didn't go yet :p

Yeah I will call, I know my question seemed kinda dumb, but most of the time people say the employees don't bother checking anyway. I was just curious if they had something similar to like Gamestop has where they tell you which locations have the item in stock.

LOL, I actually have not met the buying team there, I'm sure they are good people. To be honest my main problem with them is that they have natural, huge foot traffic and they have a beautiful department that is staffed but they don't punch hard enough. If they went out and were aggressive in the market consistently they could change the industry.
I think I am going to give it a try tonight actually. I'm glad it's getting positive user feedback.
Just remember it was made in poland probably with not much of a budget. And voice acting is really awful.

Glad it's $40. I wish titles like this that don't get 40 million dollars to be made and 5 million to get promoted could release at $30/$40 and have a better chance at succeeding.

Any opinions on why that is that nearly every console game sticks to the $60 standard? I just saw EA said NFS:HP and MoH sold 5+Million apeice and I have to wonder if it's due to those $35/$40 price points over the holiday cause MoH certainly wasn't treated well by reviewers.

I guess they figure if someone's going to buy it at launch they'll pay $60, if someone's going to pay $40 they'll pay that when it drops later.

yeah it is not a bad game, i would rank it right after TESIV, FO3, F:NV , DS, DA, ME, and ME2

don't go giving target any ideas now lol, but you know what they say when two companies fight the customers are the real winners :D.

hey josh i know the list for February and march aren't finalized just yet but can we expect a few more games then the once posted? theres a few decent games that i didn't see any mention about, just curious.
