Update: Submitting Feb./Mar. offers as SYWR promotions. Will post as soon as they are approved. At the end of Mar. the coupon issue will be fixed and we'll go back to normal. For Feb . SYWR offers, there will be limit 2 per customer (the SYWR card will limit bonuses systematically).

As of Feb 6th, to earn SYWR bonuses a member has to have a valid email address on their profile and opted in before purchasing an item with a bonus offer. This has been communicated to members through SYWR emails and in the circular along with new signage indicating to receive bonus offers they have to have a valid email address on file and opted in to receive email. Opting in to receive SYWR bonus offers is not too bad: .

2. Click "My offers"
3. Click "More about me"
4. Scroll down to contact preferences
5. Click the boxes to receive email from (I suggest all for tomorrow). I'll post if you just have to accept Kmart in the future.

This. Signing up for the card is about as painless as can be, especially if you do it online. Only problem is having to wait for your card, even though you can just give the cashier your phone number.

Another option is taking the two minutes in the store to fill out the application, and getting your card right there.

As for the coupons, they'll be back most likely for the 3DS launch.
 
Thinking of canceling my MvC3 amazon order for kmart. I need that game day of release, they had better have it out for sale.
 
I'll wait for the coupons. The card isn't worth the effort and probably can't be trusted. Especially after I nearly walked out on the last deal after being hounded every 5 feet by another employee with a stack of the things. Pushy people have something to hide, and that's in the fine print.

Just wanted to see if those games would later have a coupon once the problem is fixed.

What's going on now? I hate when mods abuse their abilities. I just took down a bunch of jerks at another forum for screwing around.

I just re-checked out MvC3. It looks so bad ass. Do you buy your games for the PS3 or Xbox 360? I've gotten to the point where I don't want to shell out money twice for games released on both consoles. With fighting games, I have to be a little more nit-picky (e.g. if there's something broken about the game or there are issues with whatever).
 
360 cause my chun li stick is for that system and all the local players play on 360.

probably little to no difference between the two though.

People who are paranoid about SYWR cards make me laugh. Doesn't bother me though. Go ahead and miss out on deals for no reason at all. :lol:

You're likely right. And I'll probably buy it for both systems eventually, just not on release. I can't stand when I don't have a fighter on one console when I need it. It's like, "Nope, can't plays it on my 360." Well, no more! Just kidding.
 
People need to remember that there is an ignore function, and it should be used for users that you have issues with. We can't set that for you, and it's there for a reason.

If there are users you have issues with, put them on your ignore list and be done with it. This applies to everyone on CAG, BTW.

Also, arguments happen with two or more parties. One person that isn't responded to in conversation won't be argument.

If there are issues with other users, put them on your ignore list. Keep the OT conversation out of the thread, and if there's specific conversations you need to have with users, don't use passive-aggressive posting, report the posts to the mods. If there's an issue you need to be discussed with another user, take it to PMs and don't clutter up the thread.
 
Does anyone know what day Super Mario Sports Mix comes out? On the deal page here it says Feb 9, amazon says Feb 7 and Best Buy says Feb 8. I did a search on the kmart site and couldnt even find it. Just checking as I would like to save a trip there if they dont have it on Tuesday.

It's February 7. Best Buy probably lists Tuesday since that's when most games release.

Josh has posted that Nintendo was shipping out the copies of Mario Sports Mix on Monday, and that most Kmarts should have it on Wednesday, which is why the date is listed as that.

Your best bet will be to wait until Wednesday as well. Unfortunately, the mind set with Kmart employees seems to be "games release on Tuesday only" and most any attempts to prove them otherwise are futile.

GTFO. Who gave you permission to edit my post? Funny how it pertained to mod abuse and then you go and put the crosshairs right on yourself... Before I only asked what was going on, now I have suspicions.
 
Just saw that Game Informer gave Test Drive Unlimited 2 a good score (a bit above 8, I think) so I may just have to cave and pick it up.

And I can finally get a copy of TDU1 for the PC; been wanting that since I've had a computer that could run it well.

Game Informer gave it an 8.5. Pretty good score.

Official Xbox Magazine UK gave the 360 version a 70 though. Either way, still not bad.
 
Interested in both KZ2 and Bulletstorm. How quickly does the SYWR register? Can I buy game one, get the SYWR pts and then apply it on next purchase within a week?

It should be instant. I've never had an issue with points- regular or bonus- applying instantly. It should print out on your receipt saying what your points earned and your current balance are.

However, that doesn't mean that something won't go wrong. 99.99% of the time things work out, but it is Kmart.

This board is soft. I apologize if I come off as ignorant but I have no idea why my posts are being deleted. I have always been constructive in my criticism towards Kmart and I have never looked negatively upon CAG until now. If the moderators don't want to be called sensitive then they shouldn't delete posts that ask why they are so sensitive.

Picked up the GOW I, II, and III deal the other day. I love this thread and everything it stands for. Excellent price, l just have to finish Uncharted 1 so I can dive into the trilogy.

A mod might want to provide a reason for deleting all these posts. Otherwise it looks like an abuse of power to me.
 
I will be posting more on the KmartGamer website if I have any questions as it is obvious I am not allowed to voice my opinion on CAG which is unfortunate but understandable.
 
Guys, it really isn't rocket science. You are cluttering up this thread with personal attacks against one certain user. While he is certainly to share some blame as well, it is all the off-topic back and forth that keeps getting deleted. Various mods have been doing it, so it isn't any single one with any single vendetta. I believe that I have asked for the off-topic banter to stop many times and Shrike just recently came in here and suggested what you guys who don't like Altanis's posts can do (use the ignore feature). We have also asked him to tone done his responses in here and maybe not take it as his personal duty to police this forum - which clearly gets under the skin of other users.

I really don't know how other forums are run, but Cheapy gives us wide latitude to use our discretion when cleaning up threads. It is nothing personal - we just delete reams of off-topic stuff so the threads aren't cluttered. I can guarantee you (and others) one thing: there is absolutely no mandate from Cheapy with regards to advertizer pressure and such. That is pure tinfoil hat territory there (and I'm not saying anyone in this thread said that, but it comes up from time to time).

You are 100% welcome to post your opinion of the Kmart deals, how the stores are run, etc. We've certainly never deleted any of that stuff no matter how negative it is unless it crossed the line into obscenity or is obvious trolling. But the general points and complaints are left to stand. When it veers to being against one user, though, it isn't a matter of supressing opinion, but of keeping the thread on topic.
 
Dang I got no return call on the survey. Must have been one shot and done. Going to Kmart this morning to see what is left on the current deals.

I asked Josh not about a deal really but if he was even going to carry Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3 and he was a bit unsure. I would imagine Dynasty Warriors period is about the same when it comes to sales across the series. I won't speak for him, but it is a possibility that they wouldn't carry it. Call of Halo: Hot Pursuit it ain't.

Finally got my SYWR card in the mail. I applied for it online when COD BO came out, so its been a few months. They should probably work on that.

Hmm, I see a lot of people saying they're still getting SYWR cards. I just recently signed up a week or two ago and they told me that they are not using cards at all anymore, just phone numbers.
 
I like my lil keychain SYWR card comes in handy when I shop there..think I have bout 60,000 points on it...might cash in soon though

That's the same time I signed up and had given up hope (even though my phone number and PIN have been working fine), so I'm curious now if I'll actually be getting mine soon as well.

Bull. If the associates are still hocking the card, and the cashiers think that you need the card to redeem your points balance, there's no way that they are canning the cards right now without leading to major problems down the road.
 
Josh would you be able to post the ps3 system deal thats iin March? my friends wants a ps3 but dont know whether to tell him to get one now or wait
 
Does the Marvel vs Capcom 3 $25 SYWR deal also work with the special edition? It's hard to search through the thread with all of the bickering going on, and then I don't know whether to search for "marvel" or "mvc." Thanks.

So search for both terms?

In every deal offered, the CE/SE/LE/whatever the publisher decides to call it has gotten either the same offer as the regular edition or has gotten a better deal (a la Epic Mickey). MvC is no different.

Tell him to wait a couple of weeks, week of 2/20 (KZ3 week) has a PS3 promo that is more value than the $50 gift card we ran last week.

If you consider people at Capcom (or Namco) know who top players are. Whether they do anything with it is a step further/fan-service. It makes me want to buy MvC3 even more.
