Update: Submitting Feb./Mar. offers as SYWR promotions. Will post as soon as they are approved. At the end of Mar. the coupon issue will be fixed and we'll go back to normal. For Feb . SYWR offers, there will be limit 2 per customer (the SYWR card will limit bonuses systematically).

As of Feb 6th, to earn SYWR bonuses a member has to have a valid email address on their profile and opted in before purchasing an item with a bonus offer. This has been communicated to members through SYWR emails and in the circular along with new signage indicating to receive bonus offers they have to have a valid email address on file and opted in to receive email. Opting in to receive SYWR bonus offers is not too bad: .

3. Click "More about me"
4. Scroll down to contact preferences
5. Click the boxes to receive email from (I suggest all for tomorrow). I'll post if you just have to accept Kmart in the future.

BTW, updating OP on the Killzone 3 offer. There will be a Hard PS3 bundle with Killzone 3 with a PS3 160GB for $299.99. It will not feature the 20k points with purchase.

HW deals in march are not ready to be released yet. However with the release of Killzone 3 there will be a bundle that includes the game for $299.99.

I understand the "free game" offers when the free game is a wildcard, and I kind of understood the DS2/DS1 thing you tried to do since it was a more mainstream game that some people may have missed, but I don't get it with the niche titles like Yakuza and Valkyria Chronicles.

I just assume that anyone who is going to buy Yakuza 4 already has Yakuza 3 or they wouldn't be interested.
 
Is Marvel 3 a street date release? as in shipped to stores early and should be available tuesday at open?

How can we convince employees to sell us a copy on tuesday if so?

DS1 didn't require purchasing DS2 though; it was just marked down to draft off of the release.

I'm not a huge fan of the deal, but that's where we are at the moment and since I only supported Yakuza 3 in a small way previously, there are unique Kmart customers who may purchase because of it. I hope that Yakuza 4 also helps broaden the base a bit more than Yakuza 3.

It is a street dated title and is featured in ad; should be good to go.

Can you say if the extra MvC3 bonus is something that changes the UPC like the Enslaved comic did?

eh.. I'm with jer.. Yakuza's a niche title and people won't just jump in with volume 4. Do any stores even have Yakuza 3? I thought it was stocked in a fairly limited supply. Will there be an alternate deal in the event that our store doesn't have stock? Or maybe a deal for those of us who already have Yakuza 3 in the form of a small amount of SYWR points?

Yakuza 3 will be brought in for the launch. Hmmm, I wasn't a huge fan of the promo, but I didn't hate it. We'll regroup and see if there can be a small bonus on top of it.
 
I guess I'm going to wait for the coupons to come back before buying anything. Don't know enough about Yakuza to go for that deal. Might be interested in some 3DS deals if they're really good. As in free 3DS games or more than $10 off.

Hopefully they have whatever it is at my store. I just recently (as in two or three weeks ago) gave up on the Black Ops patch. My store kept saying they had them but could never find them. Still have my receipt from the Black Ops launch too. Oh well.

Do you know what the deal for MLB 11 will be yet? I'm hoping for some rewards points and/or the mlb.tv trial. Also, can I pre-order these games and still get the bonuses?
 
I have a question as well. I received a $20 off coupon with my last game purchase. My mom will be going to the Steubenville, OH location and said she would be willing to spend $100 for my birthday. With the current deals, can I:
Use the $20 off coupon on Mass Effect 2 and still get 50% off of Little Big Planet 2?
Get 50% off of another game by purchasing Little Big Planet 2?
I just want to maximize my birthday benefits.
 
Wait, wait a minute! I've been out of the Kmart video game loop for awhile, been buying groceries and shoes/clothing there instead. If a free copy of Yakuza 3 is really the deal with a purchase of Yakuza 4, then day one purchase for me or as soon as possible! :)

I'll even consider buying another set just for my younger brother that's $120 worth of business from me and I've never spent that much at Kmart at one time.
 
free yakuza 3 with yakuza 4 would be awesome. Too bad I already have yakuza 3.

I can't wait to hear what kmart will offer for Duke Nukem forever. I hope its good.
 
The problem with the Yakuza promo, like I said before, is that it's the fourth in the series. The Dead Space promo was a good one because it was the second in the series, so people new to the series could be like "Hey, the first one's on sale for $10, eh, why not".. I know you're doing the best with what you're given, especially considering Yakuza spans two consoles, but I can't help but feel that buying more copies of Yakuza 3 for the Yakuza 4 launch would be (financially) shooting yourself in the foot. I'd prefer a $20 PSN card or something (and it'd save you quite a bit of $), but then again, I already own Yakuza 3. Maybe it could be an either/or and dependent on stock count instead of buying more copies for the launch?

That's just my $0.02 though, you're the guy in charge! :)

I am excited!!! A little extra bonus for mvc3, and i got called about the focus group!
So mvc3, bulletstorm, possibly pokemon b or w, and i really want to see the 3ds offer!

Since kmart sells action figures, maybe its a free marvel action figure with mvc3... Or pencil topper. Thanks shc, keep the deals comin.

Is this a deal where Killzone is in the box, or is it just going to be bundled in store? If it's in the box, would it stack with the future gift card promo, or am I just being greedy? :)

BTW, I love the free Yakuza 3 with Yakuza 4 deal. I bought 1 & 2 on release, but passed on 3 because of all the cut content. Want to show my support for 4, and this ensures I complete my collection.

That's why I was wondering. The last coupons I recall were during the week of SMAS (December 12). I didn't follow any coupons that were PS3 and 360-related, but I don't recall any $20 coupons.

The only way a coupon would still be active would be if it was from the last 6 weeks. There weren't any coupons the week of December 26.

There haven't been any coupons since then, that I am sure of.
 
Checked on the exp date and it is expired. Still, could I buy Mass Effect 2, get LBP2 50% off, then buy another title at half off, or would I not get the LBP2 discount?

There is a couple of coupons from hardware items that may be active but all software coupons should have expired by now I believe.

I think your point is very valid. I am definitely torn on it. I'm going to submit for a SYWR topper on the offer similar to TDU2. I'll see if I can get it approved.

You could even just keep track of all the deals you offer, not just coupons. That way people can look at the list and go "oh hey, this was on sale" or something. It's more work for you, but...

No. 3D is a dumb gimic. I'm tired of 3D sports (and I love sports more than video games). I hate that over half the movies today is in 3D to make an extra buck. In the time of Television, 2D has sufficed. I have no intentions of getting into 3D. Even when it gets cheap. Also, I hate the glasses.

Counting the minutes until MvC3 release!

Even non-fighting game fans should get into this one - it's not quite as braindead easy as SF4 but it has some really simple 100% kill combos and ways to comeback that should make for some very good dynamic gameplay. Huge variety of characters and assists as well - this game will really have a lot of value for someone who really wants to sink their teeth into it.

Hey Josh just wanted to say thanks for all the awesome deals. I know i'll proably get flamed for saying this but sometimes i prefer it when you have deals like the BOGO and TDU offer where you get bonus goodies than just a straight up coupon. But do whatever you gotta do to keep the good deals.
