There is definitely some price issues for sure. I have found that I've enjoyed the depth 3D can provide visually but I know many who share your view.

Thanks bud! After March we'll probably go pretty silent with SYWR's and then pick it up for a few key releases next fall. It will definitely play a larger role this year. Definitely won't take over coupons at all but points will be used here and there.

The bogo with ME2 and LBP2 offers were insanely expensive :) May not see that again for a while or maybe it won't last a month like the ones currently running.

I really want to create a Kmartgamer sub brand within SYWR's but I think they won't be testing sub clubs until later this year. The Kmartgamer.com reinvention will definitely have some cool features though that will act in a manner similar to RZ.

Even non-fighting game fans should get into this one - it's not quite as braindead easy as SF4 but it has some really simple 100% kill combos and ways to comeback that should make for some very good dynamic gameplay. Huge variety of characters and assists as well - this game will really have a lot of value for someone who really wants to sink their teeth into it.

Couldn't agree more on MvC3; also anytime I hit $25 really needs to be known as a serious promotion. It just does not happen in the industry often, if at all. I remember seeing TRU tease it for a few hours on a Tuesday here and there, but $25 for a week long will not last forever.

I definitely view it as a priority title for sure. I was one of the ten people who bought Frontlines: Fuel of War and loved it.

At first i had no intentions of buying MvC3 but after watching those vids and having memories of my high school days and the penny arcade i have to get it.:bomb: My wallet is gonna be empty this month.

Plus check out the regional forums and you never know, there could be people playing locally in your area or hosting events. I was surprised Milwaukee had a scene. Chicago has a pretty big scene as well.

It was a shame that game went practically unnoticed.

Looking forward to what you guys put out there for homefront. Shame that game isn't getting much hype.
 
I haven't shopped at K-Mart since the coupons went down, but I am going to get MvC3 and Bulletstorm the next week. Is it easy to redeem the SYWR points? Do they just scan your keychain card and take the discount off?

LOL; thanks :) One of my biggest fears is to become "corporate" and forget that I'm a gamer first. You all remind me every day that the community is the priority first.

Chun Li is a beast. Her LL assist is so so good for chip damage and triangle jump shenanigans work really well.

Justin Wong uses Chun's assist almost constantly in this video.

Ryu not so much. He's never been well suited to the vs type of rushdown mixup gameplay.

You should also be able to tell them how much you would like to apply as well.

Well i didn't mean it's easy to win SF4 just stuff like lenient input windows, huge reversal input window, shortcuts for moves, etc.

Doing reversals in Super Turbo was something you had to think about. SF4 lets you mash until it works. Marvel is going to be more strict about inputs and timing than SF4 was in general. Still easier than MvC2 though.

I would have played it if it wasn't a 360 exclusive. I did watch a walkthrough and the intro was a scary coincidence.

Yea, I have to say the 'free game' offers just don't entice me. I already have Yakuza 3, for example, and little interest in Test Drive PSP.
 
Hey just a quick question. I remember seeing it when i first signed up, but I can't recall it and I dont see it in the FAQs. But how long will it take me to get my initial points card? I know I can use the member #, email blah blah. I won't even be using it until Killzone 3 comes out so I'm in no rush.
 
Whats everyones opinion on Bulletstorm? I really want it but kind of have a feeling it will be buried by KZ3 and drop fast.

It should be instant but there have been cases where it does take a while.

Have them scan it and tell the cashier you want to use your points.

I did, but IGN reviews are all over the place. And i dont think an 8.5 is gonna stop alot of people from buying it. I don't want to pay full price for Bulletstorm and watch it fall to twenty bucks 3 months later.

This worries me. I saw the Hulk 100% combo but was hoping it would be fixed for the retail game. No fighting game should have infinites as far as I'm concerned.

Bullet Storm falling to 20 bucks in 3 months Ha! If theres anything Epic knows how to do is market and the amount of hype and press they have generated with this game is going to hold its value rather high at least at the minimum until Gears 3 late this year. Personally im more excited for a new IP (Bulletstorm) than killzone. That speaking the influx of shooters is redic right now. If your a shooter fan however your as happy as can be

Im with you. Im not even remotely good at fighting games but when a new tekken, street fighter, mortal kombat, or mvc comes out I have to at least play it. Its nice to see the fighting franchise's rise back from the dead.

Couldn't agree more. :beer:It's also a proven scientific fact that Irish Car Bombs are delicious. My apologies to the Irish; I didn't name it. While I'm on the subject, I can recommend trying Goose Island brews, since you're in the Chicago area. 312 is pretty good.

Almost any character can 100% if they have full meter and use X-factor.

Unfortunately that means you're left with no meter and X-Factor lasts longer and is much more useful as a comeback tool when you're down to your last character.

100% combos aren't bad if it means you're down to your last character and it's now 2 on 1 vs 3 on 1. And it's not something you're going to be seeing multiple times per match.

It might not even make sense to save that much meter cause it's useful for so many other defensive and offensive maneuvers in the game.

It won't drop in price quickly in my opinion but will be promomted consistently at $20 off during the spring/summer and then be used probably during BF at $29.99. That said, it is really fun and is even better with friends.

Epic Games dont historically drop in price. Im a huge Gears fan and can admit I was less than thrilled with Gears 2 broken multiplayer and it still held its value for a very long time. I really like the mature edgy side of this game. In my opinion it has the potential to surprise at the start of this year. It reminds me how Boarderland came out of no where although this game has way more publicity considering its a Epic/EA game.

IGN might as well not even review PS3 games-there are far better sources. They consistently give half-assed reviews. Anyway, they still gave KZ3 a great review.
