Woah, I just found out about the PSP price drops that apparently include bundles. I haven't used my POS PSPone in forever, but I'm gonna go on the prowl for a PSP3000 I think.
EDIT: That might just be Target selling bundles for $129 maybe, not sure if 3000 bundles will universally drop too.
Yeah, unfortunately this was a pre order exclusive from EA.
While I am sad that I missed the Signature Edition, your deal seriously helps salve some of that wound with a ton of DLC possibilities. :D Hopefully everyone who doesn't have a Dragon Age 2 sig edition preordered will hit up that great deal.

I just got back from my local store and picked up the BUZZ Quiz TV bundle for the $29.99 clearance price and they also had BUZZ Quiz World bundle, but it was ringing up $59.99.

Can you confirm that the BUZZ Quiz World bundle isn't supposed to be $29.99 as it's listed as such in the clearance post. Or is it just the stand alone game?

Thanks!
Last question; can I assume that stores will have the stock on the Friday before, so that we don't run into any "we don't get any shipments until Monday/Tuesday" problems, on Sunday?
Yeah, Nintendo is shipping it separately so they can't say "our truck didn't come yet". All stores are supposed to get their shipments on the Thursday before a Nintendo Sunday release.
Got my copy of Killzone 3 last night. Pretty hilarious because I still didn't see it in the case and went to the electronic's clerk to find out what the deal was, and she was pushing a cart with about 10 copies of Killzone 3 in it, that she was getting ready to stock the case with. I ended up saving her muscles from having to stock at least one copy of the game. :)

And my points were posted this morning. Planning on holding onto the $57 and using it towards the Yakuza 4 deal. THANK YOU KMART OVERLORDS!
You mind please telling me your store location (or number if you have it)? We're really going to start escalating product not being out on time again as it seems nothing's really changed and now we've got more support from higher up in the company.

I know there's probably no way for anyone to know this, but are the odds pretty good that the corresponding game in the bundle will come in the proper case the way Mario Cart did in the DSi XL bundle?
Yeah, unfortunately this was a pre order exclusive from EA.
I thought you said your EA rep loved you?

Use this as leverage to get a better deal on the next EA release.

There don't seem to be many unhappy people about this Pokemon deal. While this is a great deal for those wanting 2 copies, it does nothing for those that only want one. I usually buy all my games at Kmart but for this one I'll go to BB with my gift card and the $10 reward cert. Even at $5 off I would've bought at Kmart to support Josh, who I know had his hands somewhat tied by the sewers.

Are you serious? Just get two and dump one on ebay. At $17.50+tax, you gotta be able to make $5 on it.

Dunno if you can use GCs on BB Pokemon promo. Regardless, I see your point if you don't have a buddy who needs a copy, and it's a kind of end to the rewards train, if you think about it (which is fine by me, since I don't have any more must-grabs until Crysis 2, and I'm still on the fence about that).

Edit: Saw previous post, doesn't eBay have a ton of fees? Dunno if you could make more than you got it for, not everyone's a born flipper. :p

Edit 2: Agree with Altanis that you shouldn't gripe about it, just go elsewhere.

Maybe you could help me as well? I've had problems getting Sunday releases and such at both 3654 and 4483. They'll tell me they don't have things or won't put them out until Tuesday.

This (or something similar).

Griping about the best deal available on these games because "oh noes, it's not available for just 1 copy" is pretty bad. I'm sure you either have a family member that wants a copy (a nephew, little brother, whatever) or a friend who's willing to go in with you to save almost $10 a copy.
I'm sure you either have a family member that wants a copy (a nephew, little brother, whatever) or a friend who's willing to go in with you to save almost $10 a copy.
What an odd assumption.

weird the way people talking about the pokemon deal would't it be better just to get one and just forget the other seems liek theres no real profit to be made unless your friend wants one

Cap'n_RDM;8202677]Good deal but as I need 3 copies (1 game each for myself and my kids) it does me no good. I'm going with Best Buy's preorder deal of receiving $10 worth of reward zone points for each game said:
Kmart: $88 + tax. ($35 + $17.50 + $35)
Best Buy: $105 + tax, plus $30 in RZ points you have to cash out and use later. Plus you HAVE to preorder and pick up from 3/6 to 3/10
Combo: $88 + tax ($35 + $17.50 at Kmart, plus $35 at Best Buy) and you get $10 in RZ points at Best Buy.

Literally with Best Buy you are saving maybe $7 after everything is said and done, and you have to buy something at a later date. Plus, you can't use RZ certs or GCs at Best Buy and still get the bonuses.

My plan is 2 copies of each from Kmart. One for me, one for my nephew who's going to be getting a late birthday present, and then a set for two friends to split. Total will be about $105 + tax, and I'll cash in the DQ6 points to get all 4 copies for under $100 out of pocket.

If I were to go to Best Buy, it would be $140 + tax (so almost $150), and I'd get $30 in RZ certs. Nowhere near as good.
Yeah, I was looking at BB's promo for B+W before K-mart released theirs thinking $10 was nice in case K-mart didn't come through and I read the fine print, lol. I think a lot of people are in for disappointment if they think they can apply one of the games' RZ points to another. Totally agree with your math, I just more or less said the same thing to someone in another thread.
I agree the overall difference will be minimal but as I mentioned I won't have an issue spending the RZ coupons on Blu-Rays. If I needed an even number of copies, I'd reconsider K-mart's offer.

got next week's Kmart flyer... not much in it but I did notice:

A) Heavy Rain is advertised as a "Greatest Hit" with a price tag of $29.99

And

B) PSP Core bundles look like they are getting a price drop to $129.99 from $169.99

The store number is #9532, in Effingham, IL.

It wasn't a huge deal (the store is on my commute home), it was just weird/funny that they had plenty of copies of Bulletstorm, the Killzone 3 PS3 bundles, but no copies of Killzone 3 on display.

You dive into dangerous territory claiming that gamers have friends.

Lol so much treatment for a B1G1 50%.

Hmm...

Pokemon Black - 34.99
Pokemon White - 17.49
Total - 52.48+Tax

Not too bad, but could be better. You're basically buying a wii game at the final price.

Very odd assumption indeed. You know what they say about "ass u me". And here is another bad assumption on my part. Is everyone going crazy over this Pokemon deal under the age of 10 or buying them for kids under 10? You cant seriously be older and WANT to play these games right? :)

The Fight Night deal on March 1st looks like a winner. I just wish my points from MvC 3 would post to my account so I could use them toward it.

Pokemon is a very good RPG, no matter how you look at it. I won't go so far as to say that they're the reason portable RPGs and the like took off and are pretty commonplace now, but 1998 was a pretty damn good year for the GameBoy.

I'm 19, and am buying copies for two friends that are the same age and my nephew who is going to get it for his 12th birthday. In a few months when my other nephew has his birthday, I'm going to be buying him a copy as well. I buy good games, and don't give a crap whether they're "childish" or not. Black & White are the first Pokemon games ever to have gotten a 40/40 in Famitsu. The early indications are that they are likely some of the best Pokemon games yet.

You can also bet that I've been at GameStop and Toys R Us getting the free download giveaways.

I think you're confusing the Pokemon games with the anime and movies.
Lol so much treatment for a B1G1 50%.

Let me know where anywhere is having a better deal. Amazon and Target are doing $5 GCs, Toys R Us has shitty wall clings. The only competition is Best Buy, who is offering $10 in reward zone points.

NOWHERE is offering a straight discount on the games except for Kmart. If you would rather go to Best Buy and spent $70 to get $20 in RZ certs, so be it. The numbers don't lie, and at 7% sales tax, you're saving literally less than $2 (my calculations say it's $1.27, anyone wanna check that math?) at Best Buy IF you spend the RZ certs and nothing more out of pocket. Your savings are cut even more at Best Buy if your sales tax is higher (I was simply using my county's sales tax rate).

Josh any chance kmart will be stocking Divinity 2: Dragon Knight Saga?

I know you guys probably took a chance on Two Worlds 2 because the publisher worked out that $40 deal but this seems to be a similarly niche western style RPG.

http://www.divinity2-saga.com/index.php

Also will trackmania for wii ever come out? lol it was suppossed to release in december and I think it's been showing up every two weeks on upcoming release lists and never makes it to shelves.. weird.

I went to buy Killzone 3 today in Indianapolis (store 4196) and didn't receive any points. Boo.

I emailed Josh, though, and will wait patiently :)

Believe it or not, I know people my age who still play these, mostly because they are nostalgic and were there when blue and red released and still enjoy the games. They have aged very well and get better with every generation released.

Taking a poke at people for playing a game you consider childish, is childish in itself, who are you to judge what someone enjoys or spends their money on?

Also, points for MVC 3 still haven't posted for me yet either, as long as I have them in time for DA 2 ill be happy.
I went today to pick up Enslaved and it was 39.99 at my store. Why could that be?
It is probably marked that still. If you have it rung up it will be $14.99

Oh..okay...I just thought it was weird that some other things were marked correctly...I'll have to go back and check into it.

Thanks!

I am 34 and I am purchasing a copy (or two) for myself. I have probably put more hours into Pokemon games over the years over any other franchise. If you like RPGs, Pokemon is very deep.

Especially Black & White.

I wasen't all that hyped for Gen 4, but Gen 5 is looking to trump it in every way. The "fresh start" thing doesn't hurt either.

And what I meant by "it could be better" is that it could be in a not-as-obscure store, such as Best Buy or Target. Gamestop never does these kinds of things, usually going for the trade-in route.

For now, it IS the best deal, but severely hampered by WHERE said deal is going on.K-Mart isn't exactly a location you can find in a heartbeat(For most, anyway)

Either way, at this point I will be paying $50ish on launch after I do a trade-in at gamestop later on. With the points I get from purchasing those two brand new games at their store, I'll be closer to getting a $5 off or even $10 coupon, which I could then use on Super Mario All-Stars, which is currently at $20 on my re-pre-order.

Off-topic, but I get the feeling everyone will be too busy playing Pokemon B/W to pay attention to the All Stars reprint...

I have a copy of the original. I really don't care about the reprint.

I'm not really sure how you can compare $17.50 (plus the tax savings on $17.50) in savings from the start with saving later on via trading in. The two aren't comparable. By buying at Kmart, I not only save upfront, but like you I can (but won't) trade in later on and save even more.

Cool story brah.
are the 25,000 MvC3 points still due to hit on or before saturday 2/26 ?
I'm hoping at least...every time I log in and see my points balance still 25k short, I get sad. I want my damn money :(

I didnt take a poke at anyone. I clearly stated I was making a bad assumption. I couldn't care less about what or why people play certain games. Making a sarcastic comment is all I intended. Do what you want and ignore everyone else is what I say.

Same question here, with would additions:

1. I bought MvC3 last Saturday...will that make my bonus points come later than this Saturday?

2. I wasn't a SYWR member until I signed up at the register as I bought MvC3...I went home and opted in to the emails for bonus point eligibility...will that cause any problems? Since I wasn't a bonus member at the time of the purchase?

Also...when bonus points are coming, will it show on your account that they're coming in any way, shape or form? Mine says nothing and says I have no current purchases...it makes me a bit nervous.

No, actually I don't. And I never said it wasn't the best deal available, I said it's not a great deal for people who only want one copy.
I also don't need the hassle of selling it on Ebay. I only want 1 copy. This deal does not work for all people like almost every other Kmart deal has.

You won't receive the points if you didn't opt in before the purchase. You better have e-mailed Josh about your purchase with a picture of your receipt and all the needed information and I'm sure he'll honor the deal for you. But if you rely on the system catching up and giving you the points you'd be mistaken.

Just ignore Altanis. He thinks K-mart poops gold. Either way you look at it...it's a crappy deal for the vast majority of gamers.

Canceled my Amazon pre-order for Pokemon Black, since I was planning on picking up both titles at some point. Buying both locally from Kmart is $2 cheaper each than buying from Amazon, and now I won't have to wait a week or so for it to ship out to me.

Here's hoping there are no issues picking them both up on release day.

I agree with bretfav. I needed just one copy and everyone here kept begging josh for a deal on both. So those of us who needed one get hosed this time around. Telling us to sell a copy on ebay, is stupid. With the amount of copies available on ebay, youd simply get back the amount you paid extra after fees and shipping. Not worth the time. This time around, we miss out on a deal. Ill live, but ive already preorder at amazon.

I see no problems with adults liking it. I don't see a problem with adults puting many hours into Pokemon. But Pokemon, a deep RPG? Really?
