I think dropping the price is a good business decision...great idea.
Someone's earning their paycheck.

And...I don't think analyzing business practices is either foolish or a conspiracy theory.

What remains to be answered is whether or not the Yakuza 3 fresh stock will be reserved or allowed to be purchased for $14.99...that is all.

Still nothing on Dynasty Warriors 7? I know I asked earlier and it was answered (thank you Stock Boy), but it is a little concerning that there isn't a deal up yet. I believe it is coming out in less than 2 weeks.

Maybe I am the only one who cares about this game. :)

IIRC, Josh mentioned a few weeks back that he was thinking of selling DW7 for $10 less the week of its release (so it'd sell for $49.99), but I don't know if that's changed... :???:

You know, I'm sort of keen on the Warriors: Legend of Troy game also by Koei. It puts a new spin on the genre.
 
so I just wanted to send a shout out to the awesome electronics employee CAGer in SR. Thanks for your help, it was great meeting a fellow CAG. Oh and for some reason I can not access my shop your way rewards account... the return/rebuy receipt on Black Ops just says I saved $5. (it does have my membership #... so I don't know what's the deal with that.)

I'm not sure what you're asking. Were you expecting points for the return/rebuy? You would only get points for money spent, so the only way a return/rebuy would get you points is if you were rebuying it at a higher price.

I didn't even know Black Ops was on sale this week.

Nah, I thoguht I had 25,000 points from buying black ops when it was released. The cashier didn't tell me I had to sign up for the card to get the points until after I bought it. so I filled out the new member thing and took the game to customer service to have the points applied on the card... and apparently they didn't do it right, and I forgot to check it.

Wow. I appreciate you pointing this one out. Trading in both DA:O and DA:A gets me $30 BB credit, which is a little more than the cost of purchasing the UE at Kmart.

Question, though. It has ALL DLC that was released? I've never trusted it when it says it has everything included.

Oh, okay. You had me all confused. I thought you were talking about a purchase you made today.

It sounds like you may be screwed, since it was so long ago. Your best bet is to find the employee that helped you that day (his/her name should be on the receipt) and see if they can do anything for you. Good luck.

It's missing the Pre-order DLCs and the Collector's edition DLCs I believe.

If he can prove he bought it within the time frame and didn't acquire or redeem any bonus points, I wonder if Josh would compensate him somehow since it's been so long. That CAG he ran into should have been like, "Hey, talk to Joshua ASAP!" (continues to eat his Tagliatelle in Bolognese sauce)

Yeah. it's missing the bonus item dlcs from those CEs. It was a nice to have but it's not like you're missing any missions. Though I did enjoy the CE stuff.
 
You know, I realize I have a hard time enjoying Bioware games, because of all these DLCs and intricacies I might miss. I'm just always worried, I'll miss out on something important.

So basically, I'm stuck deciding if I want to play Dragon Age 2 or go back and play the previous installment(s). It's so much easier shooting necromorphs.

I think that's asking way too much of Josh. He already goes above and beyond to help people out, so I'd say asking him to fix an issue from 5 months back is a bit much...don't you think?

That would be amazing. but I think it might be hard. I think that the system is also having a hard time finding my info, because whenever i put my membership number in on the website, it asks me to confirm my name and zip code (or email). It doesn't recognize them for some reason, so my thought is that I probably didn't write my name and email clearly enough. (I have CP, so it's hard to write by hand.)

I still have the receipt and could scan it if it came to that.

Edit: lol sadboy.. "...My SYWR points are missing!"
 
Well i was going to just get Dragon Age Ultimate but I caved and bought DA2 + $50 PSN card.

Only spent $70 on both combined with using my SYWR points though so that's a pretty awesome deal for $50 PSN, a new $60 game, and a $50 game.
 
^ Hey, I recall you liked Two Worlds 2. After playing the first Dragon Age, what are your impressions between the two franchises? I have yet to play any of the Two Worlds games.

lol, I had kept getting the same error and was like "whatever :roll:," so i just logged out the ps store, logged back on and checked my cart... to my surprise, the $50 had been added to my wallet. Don't know why it's like that, but the $50 should be in your wallet now ;)

A quick Google search would have told you that today was a scheduled maintenance day, but you can go on complaining (as usual) if you must.

It happened to me early yesterday, so I don't think the maintenance had much to do with it; at least not in my case.
 
Just a heads up,

If anyone has problems adding funds to their PSN accounts you can always try doing it from your PC. Anytime I've gotten an error message or had one of the problems listed above I would just log in through my computer and deposit the funds. I've never had a problem doing it that way.
 
Stupid that you should have to do that. It has never given me a problem in 5 years using XBL/Wii but the last two times i've bought PSN cards it's a struggle to redeem them. PSN is the worst.

Finally got it working after 10 or so tries. Scheduled maintenance or not (the update that i was required to download worked fine and as slow as it always does) it shouldn't work like that.

Also a heads up to those of you considering selling your old DS and playing DS games on 3DS, they apparently do not look good at all on the new system.

That's not to say nintendo couldn't update the firmware to improve the situation but if the screens aren't sized just right scaling the image is always going to look crappy.

Keep going back and forth on 3DS - maybe Kmart's offer will push me over the fence.
 
If you play without upscaling, will the physical size of the picture (in inches) be the same as the current DS or DSi? Does this make sense?

If so, that's fine by me.

I don't need it to be stretched. (Like watching regular tv on widescreen and having it all distorted.)
 
no, it's smaller. Like native resolution - 256 x 192 is DS native resolution - 320 x 240 is the 3DS. For example like when you play PSOne classics on the PSP screen - The PSOne's native resolution is lower than the PSP so if you play them in native resolution mode they show very small on the screen, but very sharp. If you do full screen it stretches and blurs the image.

It's like having a 50 inch SDTV and upgrading to a 54 inch HDTV and watching the same VHSs on it. Either it's going to blur out or be displayed in a very small image area.

They do say that native resolution is smaller than any of the ds iterations' screens. Plus having a smaller touch area for touch games is annoying, and not being able to determine edges of the touch screen for games that use it like a camera or for aiming is going to be super frustrating.

I've had similar problems outside of the scheduled maintenance days with adding funds to my wallet. I even got so fed up after days of trying that I called Sony's support line. What the guy and I were able to figure out was that adding funds through the actual PSN Store results in problems. If you go to your account settings in the XMB and go to add funds that way and selecting redeem a card it should work every time (assuming that PSN is up). I couldn't get any cards (2 different $20 cards) to work for days trying through the PSN Store and I haven't had a problem (5 or so new cards) since then going through the XMB.

I wasn't even aware you could add funds outside of the actual PSN Store until the support guy told me where to go. Or you can just add them online but I was never able to find out where to do that when I looked which is why I called.
 
My poor wallet this month but thankfully its my birthday today so I will be getting money from my mom and my fiance as they never have any idea what to get me.

I know so far getting Homefront, Crysis 2, Tiger Woods and Lego Star Wars 3
 
I can tell my day is going to go by slow. Here is hoping the k-mart in Wilkes Barrre, PA has $50 PSN cards (after work). Last time I was there in January they had none. If not I have one more store to check on friday.

Either way I think I am going to buy Dragon Age 2, with or without the points. It's the closest game I am going to get to skyrim at the moment. (I am in a Western RPG mode right now).

I had the same experience I just checked and my points are on there today. Whoo hoo. They said up to 30 days took a total of 1 1/2 days if that.

It all depends upon what the receipt says I believe. If the receipt shows you were awarded bonus points they should show up no problem. If they do not, there may be an issue. I may be wrong but that is how I understand it.

We never intended to purchase Homefront PC, DA2 and Crysis 2 were on the radar though for March. Hope this helps clarify.

Oh I have one more quick question SHC-Gamer, tuesday when Homefront comes out, what do I do if I cant find any 1600 point xbox cards? Also going to wonder what will I do if they have no 4000 point cards when Crysis 2 comes out?
