Kororinpa: Becoming Rare?

Has anyone else noticed that this game is becoming rare?

Gamestop.com no longer lists it new. Only used and it's always backordered.

BestBuy.com and CircuitCity.com no longer list it at all. Neither does Target.com.

Amazon had it last week but sold out. You can still order from J&R or Hubba Games via Amazon though.

The only major retailer to still have it online is Wal-Mart. However, when I do the "Find in Store" option, the only store that comes up is two cities away, even though I'm surrounded by Wal-Marts locally.

Otherwise, CDUniverse, FYE, and eStarland still have it.

So the game is by no means impossible to find. It just seems the options for getting new copies are getting slimmer, and when retailers sell out, they drop it from their site completely.

If the game is indeed getting rare, would it be the first Wii game to do so?

This game is OK. I recommanded Mercury Meltdown Revolution over it.

I've been looking everywhere for this one at a decent price, but no one seems to have a copy. Konami lists it for $19, but it seems to be going at 50-60 on ebay, and no retailers have any copies.

I got it used at gamestop a few weeks ago with a coupon. It was fun. I usually don't see it so I picked it up when I did.

Ironically, the best bet for a new copy is to import the US version from Play-Asia.com for $27.50 shipped.

You can also try doing a zip code search at Walmart.com ($19.99 but sold out online):

That's about the only affordable options I could find.

I keep thinking Wing Island (another Konami game) is going to become rare at some point, but it's still easy to find.

It looks more like the $40 range on ebay from what I see. I'd put my copy up if it was 50-60.
