I cant find any info on this in any walkthrough ive searched.

Im in the sith base on manaan. Im getting my face kicked loose by those two droids before the gas room.

Im playing on the light side with bastilla and carth in my party, ive got no grenades. Ive killed everything else in this place but i cant even get one of the droids down to half power.

There should be a computer console somewhere in the base that you can hack into and disable the droids' shields. It helps immensely. If that doesn't work, then...eh...you may need to level up some more. Otherwise, you're screwed.

Also, what characters are you using? I bring in Canderous and the wookie, since they are my designated "heavy hitters."

Yeah, those droids are sons of...mothers...

EDIT: Never mind...I just read your post again and saw the characters...stupid me...
 
Yeah, if you let your characters get unbalanced and you don't have the right equipment, you're screwed. Definitely swap out any crystals if you found the ones that have vs. droid bonuses, as well as other weapons, and Disable Droid powers.
 
thanks gents. I cant change out my party since im in the sith base.
I think ive tried using bastillas stun droid but it might have been on the other droids i fought a bit ago.
I went to manann after dantooine.
Hard, like whoa, Im gonna be very unhappy if I have to start over. Ive completed every side quest (light side) up to this point.
I was hoping I was missing something. Im pretty sure I went through the functions in the system and didnt see a disable shields but I will check again tonight.

What class are you playing? I was playing as a Dark Side soldier and really had no problems slaughtering just about anything in the game. Only time I had a problem was on the last stage, and it was more about being overwhelmed more than anything else. Once I got focused it was pretty easy.

The combat in the game drastically changes though as a Scout or Scoundrel.
 
Well, if you're Dark Side, of course the game is easier. The path to the Dark Side is never narrow. :D

That fight will be a bear without Canderous or the Wookie around. But will all Jedi, you hopefully have Force Heal. I used a lot of health packs and Force Heal in those fights.
 
Before getting into the battle...save your game.

Then stab yourself full with stimulants for your whole party, activate any shields you may have, have Bastila shoot some Force Valor.

then enter the fight. Plan each members movments then hit the White button to start.

you may want to make sure you have the character's script set right as well...Bastila should be set to Jedi/droid support, Carth should be Grenader. that way they'll act apropriatly in battle.

but your best bet is to disable the shield and have at them...but stock up on the stimulant and activate your sheilds!
 
Well there isnt an option for me to disable their shields through hacking.
I was able to stun them and get soem hits in, so I think thats the key, I just dont have enough force points to stun them enough times.
Ill get it though.

The one that fucked me up was battling on the starship (where you get captured) in the Bridge, on hard diff. There's like 3 Jedi, the head dude, and 4 grenadiers just lobbing shit at you. I had to plan this complex little thing where Carth would lob one of those adhesive grenades while the 2 jedi chicks force stunned/choked... haha, that game is really fun though. Makes me want to go play it some more.
