The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors voted this afternoon to join a lawsuit filed by the City of Los Angeles, San Francisco and Santa Clara County challenging the constitutionality of Proposition 8, the anti-gay marriage initiative voters passed by a narrow margin this month.

It's a significant political development. If someone would create a "civil rights debate" forum, I'd gladly post all of these there.

The other threads have become a soup of non-related and OTT discussion, for the most part.

Except Politics is a far more involved and far reaching subject then Gay Marriage, the discussion of which can easily be contained in only one thread. Please someone consolidate the five topics we have on this into one.
