Lag in KOTOR 1, helppppp

I was wondering if anyone experienced some major lag in KOTOR. During the dialogue it would stutter a lot, samething during the battle. The game is in mint condition also.

Should I use a disk cleaner?

I dont recall that ever happenning to me, so the cleaner wouldn't hurt. Does it happen to other games? Maybe its the disk.

Does your DVD drive look like this by any chance?

Otherwise, return the game and get another, or try it on someone else's Xbox.

I've got the holiday bundle xbox and it stutters in KOTOR when the system overheats.

Mine looks like that . I guess that's what happens when you buy a system at launch. Same goes for the PS2.
