Was at Game Crazy tonight and the game was priced 24.99. Almost picked it up but I've played it before and didn't enjoy it too much.

Hopefully it wasn't a price mistake and hopefully this isn't a repost.

I read a news post a week ago (either on Kotaku or Joystiq or something similar) (seems to just be a rumor actually, but still, who knows) where a guy got to play a patched version of Lair that let you use normal controls instead of the Sixaxis motions. He said it felt completely different and even good. If they release such a patch to the general public, I'd at least look into this game.

The motion controls are not the only problem with LAIR. The game is also one big escort mission, and the Targeting sucks. Not even worth $19.99 in my Opinion

Once I got to the point where the sixaxis couldn't recognize what I wanted to do I just completely gave up. Good thing I didn't buy it.

I think the analog control patch was confirmed by the developer but I'm not sure where I read that.

Agreed. The game has more problems than just the motion controls. It's best left as a rental or wait until it hits $10-15.

Still, I would like a patch. I don't care for the motion controls. Works for the Wii and its configuration, but not so much with the PS3 contoller.

$9.99 max for me. What seriously turns me off even more than the horrid SIXAXIS controls, is Factor 5's stale gameplay design. Like someone already said, their mission designers have a love affair with escorting and forcing you to scurry all over the place to come to the aid of a thousand-and-one different parties annoyingly whining for help every 30 seconds because they can't do a darn thing for themselves.

So like I said, $9.99 and thats if i'm in a good mood and feel like wasting money.
