Famitsu revealed a new adventure game from FuRyu, Last Bullet. In this game, you play as a mild-mannered female college freshman named Hibiki Karin who attends classes, chats with classmates, and... lives a secret life as a sniper-for-hire, with her professor, Sakuma Tsukasa, as her boss. The story has all of the standard plot devices for Karin's motivation; missing father, dead mother, friends that helped her through tragedies. As their promotional site shows, it has regular visual novel-style adventure segments (Go to places, talk to people, etc.).
At certain points of the story, Tsukasa (Who is shown doing the classic Gendou Ikari/Captain Kuro motion. Yep, nothing suspicious about this guy) will brief Karin on her next target, which takes the game into its sniping segment. You look through the scope, taking factors like wind, timing, and Karin's breathing into account. Karin also can go into an "Intense Mode," which I guess slows down her breathing and make the shot easier.
It's set for release in Japan in 2009, but no localization has been announced so far.
