Not a deal and Amazon even has their info wrong. The game is not coming out until August per NIS at E3. Gamestop has the right date, I don't know why Amazon can't get their stuff together.

Depending on how you play the game can alter the ending

yea you can NOT Play it and get the WOW I DIDNT SEE THE ENDING ending : )

ahh i can see it now...

*gets to final boss* .......*boom game freezes*

NISA: har har har we got your money so we are not gonna fix it. tough luck you cant finish the game :p
I don't think they'll screw over the gamers as they did with Ar Tonelico 2, I would hope.
They already did since then lol. Mana Khemia psp. They put in all the psp exclusive recipes...except you couldnt use them heh.

Granted, im still getting MK2 for my collection..but im not expecting much from the game nor NISA after so many screwups since Iris 1 on ps2.
Calm down. Most retailers haven't gotten word of the new date.
This game has never had a June release date. It has been August for several months, although admittedly not a specific date in August until two weeks ago at E3. Most retailers aren't carrying this game. This is also not going to be the last PS2 RPG. Sakura Taisen is scheduled for release in September and I believe there are at least a couple of other PS2 RPGs that Atlus and NIS are still looking at licensing down the road. This topic needs to be moved to the appropriate board. The MSRP is $40, so there is no deal here and nothing really to say that fits in the deal category yet.

Its typical for release dates on games to be put back more than once. Ive seen it happen time and time again.

There's no way it's the last one. The PS2 is still doing fine. I think the last PS2 RPG is more than a year away.

I got my hands on this at E3, and I look forward to playing it. I asked if they would have japanese audio, but they are still unsure as they did pay for US voice acting. But the young lady I spoke to was genuinely interested as to why people prefer the japanese language track over the american one. So I hope she did actually take note of what we spoke about.
I wouldn't say last we may even see Persona 5 on PS2
Doubtful. I don't know how they can spice up the Persona series on the PS2 anymore. they would end up using the say engine and gameplay so it would be too similar to P3 and 4. They should let it rest a year and come out fresh on the PS3 after the PSP remake or make a new Persona on the PSP after.

Anyway, the first one only receive a 5/10 from ign. I'm going to skip and jsut try out Student Alliance on the PSP even though it got a 2.7 to intro myself to the series. They look similar.

Just about every NISA PS2 RPG got dual audio option so I wont worry too much

Persona in my eyes is stylistic enough that it doesn't need to be put on a next-gen console to achieve that goal. It's not like the core gameplay is going to be radical (or maybe it will?) that the PS2 can't handle it.

As for IGN, it's IGN. I'd take it with a huge grain of salt.

Anyway, I'll probably hold off since Rosenqueen might do something for pre-orders. Emphasis on might.

I concur. Considering the PS2 lifecycle there is still $$ to be printed.

I hope your right, otherwise it will be time to retire the ps2..

I've been wondering if they were pushing the space on a DVD-9 with Persona 4, because after watching a few episodes of the Persona 4 Endurance Run on Giantbomb, I realized just how spotty the voice acting was, mainly for the main characters. I know it's a 70-80 hour game (I clocked in at 74 first play through) so providing voice acting a majority of the time might take up a lot of space. Since I don't know anything about it,

I can only speculate that the move to a 50 gig Blu-ray disc might let them provide nearly full voice acting, but then again with the PS3's read speed being so low, it might take up a heck of a lot of space. But I agree with you that gameplay-wise, they probably couldn't make many, if any, significant changes by upgrading. I can't really say that a lot of the JRPGs I've played from this generation (brother owns a 360 so I've gotten my hands on SO4, ToV, and LO) seem like prettier versions of past games.

We are screwed if at this point they are still wondering why. :bomb:
