Lead and Gold 10% off on Steam + Beta access

I'll only cancel it if the game isn't my cup of tea. GiantBomb has had me pretty hyped for this one for a while..just worried about the replay value, I guess.
 
OK so how do you supposedly cancel a pre-order? The netcode is ass and I'm not sold on this till they put dedicated servers in. People said you could cancel pre-orders on steam for full refund...not seeing it though?
 
It's kind of a pain actually. I've only had to do it once and that was over a year ago. But here's the page where all the magic starts:

That's right, you have to make ANOTHER account. I think I have close to 3 steam accounts now. My actual steam account, forums and support. I love Valve/Steam, but they really got to get a more efficient/easier way of doing this.

There is a damn good reason for this: they want those accounts to all be separate (and have users use separate info for each), for security reasons. You wouldn't want it so that if your forums or security account is compromised, your actual Steam account is, as well. And making your forums account based on/tied to your core Steam account wouldn't work either; it'd destroy anonymity and privacy on the forums, and open up a whole new avenue for phishers, who could pose as mods, et cetera.

Trust me, the current system is best.

Ahh....yeah that makes sense. Sorry, when I posted my micro rant I was tired. Didn't really think it through.
