I completely forgot that I bought a copy of Left 4 Dead 2 a few months ago as part of a GoHastings buy 2 get 1 for $1.00 sale. I was thinking about starting to play co-op (I have never played the game, even offline) and was wondering about the community...how many CAGs still play? Tried searching the forum but couldn't find a group or topic.

Alright, so it sounds like we have a number of people interested in playing. I'm going to make this thread a Wiki that way everyone who wants to can add their gamertag to the the OP and if people want to we can even organize game nights etc from right here.

Every now and then I have friends come over that want to play this game. I'm sometimes on if you ever want to play a match or two. Feel free to request me on XBLA.

I was just about to post the same exact thread because I couldn't find the old one.

This has been collecting dust on my pile for almost two years, and I finally decided to give it a go. Definitely a worthy sequel -- I am up for some co-op, I'll be on at night (PM me or add me on XBL).

I'm thinking about picking this game up in the near future if that helps. My bro plays the shit out of this game on the PC, though and loves it.

Hell yeah, lets get a little CAG group going. I'll try to send out some invites this weekend, anyone feel free to add me as well.

I just bought this game for the first time last week. Haven't played too much yet but im definitely down to play. Gamertag is: shotgunshine

Definitely interested. I didn't love 2 when I first tried it, but I just gave it another whirl two weeks ago and now I totally love it. Once I got used to the changes from the first game, and the harder difficulty, I found it to be a lot of fun. Also, the versus mode is really great now with the huge variety of special infected.

Would also love to go after some of the acheivements that need real teamwork (killing a Tank with only melee weapons, etc).

I bought the game a few months ago but haven't opened it yet due to my backlog.

But if there's a CAG L4D game night, I'll unwrap the game. :D

I still play this game every once in a while. I've been meaning to pick up the DLC campaigns for ages now, but I'm just waiting to see if they ever go on sale again. Feel free to add me.
97 hours of Left 4 Dead 2 is all I needed...until new maps come out. I think they have one more in the works.
Yeah, it's in beta apparently. It's some new campaign made by a modder, and they're porting over the rest of the Left 4 Dead 1 maps, which is cool.

I'm thinking it's still a few months away though.

If you go to your Dashboard, there's a "Gamer's Choice DOTW" poll. The choices are Mass Effect 2, Assassin's Creed II, Battlefield 2, and Left 4 Dead 2.

I voted for Battlefield 2, since that's the game I'm playing right now, and it looks like there are more DLC available for a sale, but Left 4 Dead 2 was my second choice. Already have all the ME2 DLC and don't have AC2.

I still play L4D2, but on PC -- I don't think XBOX and PC people play on the same servers (do we?).

I hop on and play maybe once or twice a week. Considering that it came out 2 years ago, I really would like a L4D3, just to revitalize the community and get more people online playing.

I don't really play this game much anymore as it's stale, but I'm always up to help out others who are new or who have campaign achievements they want to get.

Anyone up for a game tonight?

Thinking specifically about going for the Tank Burger achievement (kill a Tank with Melee Weapons) and if enough people have the Sacrifice DLC, 'Chaos Generator' (start all 3 generators in the Sacrifice Finale at the same time).

I'd be interested in playing, but I don't have any of the DLC.

Plus it would be my first time playing, so take that for what it's worth.

Can't tonight (family in town, they leave Tuesday morning), but it'd be pretty sweet if we could get a PM list together and/or pick a night and time, so we could schedule some matches.

P.S. Just sent out invites to everyone in the thread who expressed interest and whose friend's list isn't already full.

I could be up for this. My schedule is pretty much a crapshoot any given week working retail though. I'm up for either L4D 1 or 2 since I haven't played much of either yet.

My availability is hit or miss depending on how much work I have that week but I would be down for getting a regular game night going. Anybody else interested or have any suggestions?

I'd be up for some L4D2 sometime. Still a lot of achievements I need! I'm usually on later at night, around like 9:00 pm or 10:00 pm Central.

I don't really have suggestions for a work night. Working retail, my hours vary anywhere between 20-40 and some weeks I get all day shifts, other all night shifts, and some are a mixture of both.

Ok, lots of invites and new friends, but haven't gotten together yet, so let's try to plan something.

Who is available this Tuesday night, 9PM PST?

Post here or in the Wiki, which I'll update. Put a * next to your name if you have The Sacrifice DLC, which is presently 560 MS Points - though it won't be important the first few times we get together, as we're just trying to get a CAG team together.

Due to my schedule, being on the East Coast and having to get up to work early in the morning, my work week schedule is pretty limited.

I'm a no-go for the Tuesday. If it were Wednesday, I could do it for a little bit.

Ok, I'll post up a second night then, say Wednesday at 8PM PST? (I have my wife to contend with here time-wise, so later is always better.)

I'll do one or the other, possible both - but let's see when/if we can round up some folks.

I can do that on Wednesday for a while, probably an hour or two at most though.

I've been looking for a reason to get back into this game. Feel free to add me and send a request to play anytime. Lately I've just been playing Battlefield Bad Company 2 and some XBLA games.

Had no idea this was coming, but L4D2 is getting some new DLC, titled "Dead Air," no later than July 22nd.

Here's the link at Valve.

(Let's start getting together first, then we can splurge, but good news it's being supported!)

Thread Updates:

- Added GTs to the first post and put them all in alphabetical order - just easier that way.

- Eliminated Tuesday as a play-night, as folks seemed more interested in Wednesday.

Looks like Wednesday is a GO for CAG L4D2.

I also can't do Tuesday (this week) since I'll be traveling back home, watching the all star game, and have to wake up at 6am wednesday. I could be good for wednesday though since my shift is short and off Thursday.

Tuesday or Wednesday works for me. Will definitely be down.

edit: I just updated the OP with my info.

Hopefully the eventual Cold Stream release (i'm hoping by the end of August) will help reinvigorate some people on the console side.

Anyone getting dead island? I like the rpg aspect of it. But it seems less hectic compared to l4d. Mainly melee and no random ambushes. What I don't like about l4d is it gets repetitive. I honestly wished that we get to customize the characters with avatars. No need for skills. Avatars would certainly add much more replay value.

I'll get Dead Island eventually through Goozex, so probably within 3 months of release. With a monster backlog, only buying must-have Day 1 "I'm gonna disappear for a week or two" releases like Skyrim and Mass Effect 3. Looks promising, though.

L4D is certainly repetitive, but I love being able to shoot through the whole game in around an hour. I haven't even scratched L4D2 yet, either, so it'll be fresh (if repetitive).
