I don't think you know what you're talking about.
All four scenarios (what ppl here are calling "levels", but I'd say that each of the four scenarios consist of several levels) are playable in multiplayer. There's 2-player split-screen available on a single system (not recommended, frame rate gets choppy) and of course Live multiplayer (spots not filled by players are covered by AI bots).
All four scenarios are playable in co-op (4 players as the human survivors) or versus (8 players, alternates between 4 players as the human survivors & 4 as boss zombies)...when playing as the zombies, as they're incredibly powerful, there is a 20 second respawn time.
I've gotten a few disconnects while playing online, but never any lag. Valve is using DEDICATED SERVERS...most games on Xbox Live use P2P, which is more prone to lag.
There are only 4 scenarios, and while their architecture never changes, the enemy, item, and weapon placements do. I didn't think this would make much difference, but it does. Makes the levels infinitely playable.
Most definitely worth full price at $60...at $50, it's a no-brainer.
Pretty sure I do. Versus is only on No Mercy and Blood Harvest. See? Two. Two out of the four. ;] I did not count Co-op.
At 25, it's a no-brainer. Did Valve put you here to make these posts?
Putting weapons two feet where they used to be and swapping out a Hunter for a Smoker every other level isn't as intuitive as people think. There's only so many walls they can run through, and after you go through the entire game with friends on Expert, you know everything.
I have seen every weapon spawn, them come from every direction and three Tanks spawn all within a second of each other.
The game is cheap more than it is different.
