Legend of Heroes II $19.99 Universal Drop ($17.99 used at EB/GS)
this series any good? I havn't bothered with any of them
I've only played the first one, but I enjoyed it. It's pretty standard RPG fare and I'll be picking this up now that it has hit $20. I know there's a small group of CAGs that enjoy these games as well.

I have friends who love it, and it is by Falcom, but the reviews are pretty mediocre.

Still, if I see it for $20, I'll bite. Wish I could start on the first one, though I wonder if the plot is actually connected.

The first game released in America is actually the 4th game in the series, and the 2nd game released in America is actually the 3rd game in the series (I think.) I believe the one just released is #6.

I think it's 19.99 new at EB/GS. I thought it was also 19.99 at BB if you can find it. Universal Price Drop I'm guessing.

Not sure about BB though.

Ooooookay. That's not the least bit confusing.

So really we should play 2 then 1 then 3 I guess. Assuming the plots are even connected.
Same price at TRU. Pretty good PSP RPG- I'm playing it right now.

It's almost like a Mormon-RPG!
Eh? What's that mean :cold:

The plots aren't connected at all.

actually story wise LoH 1 happens before LoH2, but LoH2 is released before LoH1 in Japan. Confuse yet?
I enjoyed the first. It sounds like $15 a/c @ BB FTW but Im not sure they even carried that game ever.
I'm sure BB carried both the first and second US releases of this series. Haven't seen LOHII at BB now for almost 4 months though. Haven't seen the first LOH since it got clearanced out I think almost a year ago.

got it off TRU for 20 even though i probally never open it. Hated the first one and sort of hated the 2nd one (when i rented it off gamefly)

i figure i just keep a back stock of cheap RPG games in case something happens (ie broken bones or theeth pulled out) gives me something to do while im lying in bed )

it doesn't matter which order you play them in, but the order in which they were released here is the chronological order of how the series plays out. A Tear of Vermillion (LoH) is chronologically first, followed by Moonlight Witch (LoH II), and finally Song of the Ocean (LoH III). and even though the plots of the games individually have nothing to do with each other, they all tell a small part of a bigger story. playing them in order of how they were released here also lets you upload old save data into the later games. it doesn't do much except fill out the historical timeline page in LoH II, but in LoH III it fills out that page and also lets you use characters from the two previous games during extra scenarios.

I was about to get it, but oh well. I'll be all over the state soon, so I'll see if I see it around at a TRU. I might just buy it used at EB/GS, using 10% off coupon.
Its only 18.99 with free shipping at deepdiscount dvd.com
I tried ordering this tonight and it was canceled due to being "discontinued." Any other deals out there?

yeap only copy. Had a hell of a time buying it as well as the dude working there refused to price check it until i asked to see a manager

Just in case anyone can't find LoH 2 at TRU, it looks like Best Buy finally dropped its price to $19.99. I have only seen it at one BB location (Buckhead store in Atlanta), but they had about 4 left on the shelf when I left this afternoon.

This is also kind of random, but LoH: Tear of Vermillion is $7 at TRU if you happen to see it.

I wish my TRU still had the first one. :(

Since we're talking about the other games in the series, this might be a good time to mention the 3rd one is $24.99 at Best Buy after coupon.

Thanks for the heads up with this thread. Bought this yesterday at EB Games in Arundel Mills right after work. Still had the $34.99 sticker on it, but did ring up as $17.99. With the 10% off More Card, it came out to $17 even with tax. Thanks OP

might pick it up i have the first and i paid full price for it, but i fell asleep alot of it. prolly grab it during the next b2g1.
