Legend of Mana (PS1)

Anyone able to find this in the new/sealed variety on anything except ebay? I'm trying to get this for under $25, $20 ideally... should/would/coulda got it awhile ago from ebgames for that $20.

You'll have to pay more than that if you want it sealed. Since it's a square game, it's always overpriced no matter how insanely shitty it is. I had the misfortune of buying a copy for $9.99 at a local independent store. I shoulda bought a pizza instead. Oh well, I'll keep an eye-out for you when I go back home.

I saw this at a KB Toys couple months ago, but it was $40. I asked if that was the correct price, as I was stunned it was still at that price. Unfortunately it was.
I think I'm the only guy on the planet that actually enjoyed this game.
I fucking LOVED this game! The Seiken Densetsu (Secret of Mana, etc.) series is my all-time fav series and I had a blast with this one. Granted, it wasn't perfect, but it had tons of secrets and an moderately cool story.

Hi-larious.

i have a copy i got for 6 bucks, but its hardly new or sealed. its in good condition and everything, with the original case and booklet and whatever, and i didnt play it much (like everyone else apparently). although i still dont see myself parting with it unless a decent price is suggested since i feel it could be worth a lot more someday for die hard square collectors...
sorry bud, but ive only seen it once in any used game store, and that was the time i got it because it was mismarked, i dont think many will be that lucky...

Appreciate it. I borrowed it from a friend awhile ago, played it and I thought it sucked horribly, but this was years and years ago. I've since read some pretty interesting things about the game, and feel it deserves a second shot. And yes I'm looking for it sealed of course, that's just how I am with my games.

Controls are awful, graphics are beautiful, and the game is really interesting to play... it's availible on square-enix's website for 40$, definitely too much.

The KBToys near me finally dropped the price from $40 to $20 so I bought it during their 20% off sale a week or two ago. Unfortunately it was their display copy and I tried to get the manager to reduce the price by explaining that the game probably has been sitting on the self for years, which she quickly disagreed about. Then I showed her the date on the case, but I still didn't get any extra discount.

I went looking for you, and the lowest I could find a sealed copy was around 40, plus an ebay auction currently at 38.

Like everyone else is stating, you'll be hardpressed to find a sealed copy. Any particular reason why you're looking for sealed? Just for collection?

Cuz if you're just gonna play it, might as well get used. =)

I loved the music and graphics. Wacky game though. =)

Blargh... I'm strange in the way I just like my games sealed when I get them, even if I open em up and play them. A friend of mine actually had this, and I probably would've stole his copy since he doesn't play it, but he sold it years ago unfortunately. Anyway this all stems from a discussion I got into about old rpgs, and I decided I wanted to give LoM a second chance since I wrote it off way too quick the first time I played any of it.
