Pale Saints - The Comforts of Madness
In Ribbons

If I could only own one album in the shoegazer genre, it would be between these two and Souvlaki by Slowdive. Great, great stuff.

No Loveless? That's pretty harsh. Soulvlaki is ok, and while I haven't heard that Pale Saints album, the one I did was pretty good, but neither of them are even close to Loveless.

Acid King - Zoroaster (album)

Loveless is astounding, one of the most impressive recordings ever. The only problem is that the songwriting is a tad weak and makes the overall listening experience a bit less. While Loveless is the most impressive recording in the genre, I think even Isn't Anything is a more consistently enjoyable listening experience (for me). Definitely check out In the Comforts of Madness though. I describe it to my friends as Ride on speed.

My Bloody Valentine - Loveless (yes, you inspired me to listen to it again)
