Legend of the SOTM
I was actually going to recommend Atlas Sound to you next time you popped into the OTT.
Oh, and you meant Deerhoof. ;)

Ghostland Observatory - Heavy Heart

Interesting differences from their previous sound. Can't wait for the new album to drop on the 29th.
Actually, I meant Deerhunter. The lead singer/songwriter for Atlas Sound also leads the band Deerhunter. Deerhunter reminds me a lot of Spacemen 3, very loud, droning guitar stuff, much different in tone than Atlas Sound. You should probably check them out and see how it strikes you. I know a number of people who love them. (http://www.myspace.com/deerhunter)

I like Deerhoof.

Spiritualized - Ladies and Gentlemen We are Floating in Space
Human = Garbage and The Aftermath were full length releases.

Is the s/t album out, or did it leak?
They were full length, but technically, they were just EPs repackaged with extra tracks. This one is a full length of pure new material (except the Carcinogen cover).

And yea, the S/T leaked a few days ago, since it's been out on vinyl for a couple of weeks. Not sure if I want the vinyl or CD yet.

Technically, then, they were full length. ;)

's there a difference between the two?

But then we're down to arguing semantics, but I think we can agree that this is the first full length made of solely new material.

Well, the CD isn't out yet. I don't think there's any difference bar the LP is all limited like.

Leak was really shittily ripped though, all noisy and shit from the record. Still, new Dystopia, so I'm not complaining. Don't think it beats Human=Garbage for me though.

Then edit your first post so that's what it says. ;)

Hmm. Very little on earth beats Human = Garbage.

I got five free promo discs from Hydra Head this afternoon from ordering a Jesu shirt from them on eBay:
Cave In - Perfect Pitch Black
Everlovely Lightningheart - Cusp
The Gersh - s/t
Knut - Terraformer
Old Man Gloom - Christmas

I'm really digging the Old Man Gloom disc, and I think the Everlovely Lightningheart sounds like 40 minutes of people throwing appliances down the stairs (it really has a vibe to it of people who do too much heroin and then do something stupid, then mistake that stupid for "art"). Haven't given much of a listen to the other three, though. Free is free and I'm happy with that.

EDIT: Ah, that's it. Old Man Gloom reminds me of "Enemy of the Sun"-era Neurosis. Yep.

I actually payed something like 10 bucks for Cusp. I like weird freaked out ambient drone other pretentious adjectives shit like that, so I really enjoy that album. Terraformer is ok, I completely forgot about it as soon as I listened. I do remember that Gersh album being some awesome Isis/Neurosis like sludge, though it's been a while since I heard it.

And yea, Human=Garbage could possibly be my favorite album ever, if only for Stress Builds Character.
