What's funny about KMart is that SP3 Smash and Grab is still regular price but the rest of SP3 is pretty much clearanced out.

Well, just following up on my AWD King's Castle Siege purchase, I received it today, and what was described as "like new" came in a beat to hell box, that was all ripped up and junky looking. Contacted Amazon and got refunded $19, so I ended up getting it for $76, which I am very happy with.
Did you or anyone else happen to hit the Torrance/South Bay KMart on Hawthorne yet?
I don't travel out that way for Kmart, I live in Riverside and have 6 stores in my area, there is one in Banning off my route that I should go and look at. The Kmart is a shit hole so I would assume there is a treasure trove there but who knows.

Wow, sorry to hear that. At this point if I were you I'd check to see if any bags are missing. AWD is so odd, I was able to nab a Republic Gunship 7676 and Republic Cruiser 7665 with the same condition description and they were mint without dents. Would love to see a picture if you can get one uploaded.

Anyway, congrats on the $19 credit!

Yeah, my plan is to put it together in the next couple of days, so I haven't even opened it yet. Here's to hoping everything is there.

I ordered a droid battle pack last month from AWD and the box was crushed but the set was complete and all the bags were sealed.

Picked up a few Rebel Trooper Packs for $5 and one wampa cave for $17 at kmart. On a side note, also picked up a nerf vulcan for $17 and Halo Megablocks UNSC Arctic Wolverine for $12.50.

Just a heads up, checked all the Rochester NY area K-marts and there is very little left at any, just some snow trooper packs. I ended up with one prison rescue and a wampa cave at least, but no hagrids hut.
Found PotC The Cannibal Escape and The London Escape for 30% off at Target today.
Is that a sale?

Seems a bit crazy for a clearance.....

I stopped at a Target in Ontario, CA today and they had the new Creator robot set and the big Lightening McQueen set for 30% off...these just came out! Wish I lived here for Lego clearance since nobody is buying anything at 30% off. I even saw a bunch of POP sets that were ringing up as OOS.

London Escape should be $40 max MSRP anyway. KMarts in LA are a total bust.

If anyone wants to trade a Lego Fire Boat for a Prison Tower Rescue, let me know.

Stay out of my Targets!!!! I bet you were at the one on 4th street.

Ha, yeah...it's the closet to our hotel. Don't worry, my wife brought so much luggage I couldn't carry home any Legos if they were giving them out free! Best Buy there sucks too. Is there any local electronic stores that might sell high capacity flash memory cards?

Frys in Anaheim if you want to take a slight detour if you visit Disneyland

or this one in San Marcos close to Lego Land

There is one 25-30 minutes West from where you are staying in City of Industry off the 60 Freeway.

Here is a link for freeway info http://www.sigalert.com/Map.asp#lat=34.04684&lon=-117.49278&z=2

I'm sure there is an App somewhere for your smartphone.

Also, Lego Store@Ontario Mills gets a shipment in every Thursday (supposed to be) on there damaged boxes. Last weekend they had a ton of Pet Shops @20% off, I also saw an excellent London Bridge, Medieval Market, and Kingdoms Castle. If you pop in there always ask what they have in the back because they don't always bring everything out.

Fry's, baby! Go hit that shit posthaste! With the quickness!

Thanks for the info. I don't feel like swapping memory cards at Disney so I might have to stop at Fry's...which come to think of it, is kind of like disneyland for nerds. I went to one in Atlanta and could have stayed there all day.

Went to the Improv tonite and sat at a table with two pornstars...welcome to Cali!!!

Amazon Warehouse Deals FTW

Saw a Lego Indiana Jones and the Lost Tomb for $22.99. The next lowest price for one on Amazon is $70 which doesn't even include the box. Its a used-like new but even if it comes damaged given the extreme discount on it, I'm fine with that.

Local Lego stores have items at about $10.00 discount per item. Saw some Atlantis sets, and Toy Story 3 (not the train set, though).
ToysRus also has started to clearance the Toy Story 3 items. The green garbage truck is down to about $32.xx after the current 25% off clearance.
How are the warehouse deals? Is it just the boxes are damaged or is pieces inside missing or are they fine?
Typically the boxes are just damaged. I've never heard of anyone getting one with missing pieces. I've personally picked up a couple things and never had a problem with them. My best pickup was the Lego Star Wars Republic Attack Gunship for about $100 a couple months ago. Its been out of print for a while so getting it for slightly below original MSRP is a steal.

How was Sinbad? I thought about going but we decided against it.

My recent haul from Target clearance:

Prison Tower Rescue (Kingdoms)
Outpost Attack (Kingdoms)
Scarab Attack (Pharaoh's Quest)
Ocean Speeder (Atlantis)

$50 and change out the door. Pretty pleased. I really love the Kingdoms sets.

anyone have the asin / dpci item numbers from target on some of these clearance lego sets??? i'd like to check online before heading out to narrow my search area

also is the kmart extra 50% off sale over as well?

Decided to check out the Kmart in the ghetto in my town. Their section was small but half the stuff was on clearance. Granted I didn't buy anything but they still had SP3 small sets and Prince of Persia; both which have been completely gone from my normal stores for 6+ months. I ended up passing on stuff since I was pretty freaked, even in the day time. Never seen a Pharmacy in Kmart ever being used, this one had a line.

While I was out, I decided to do some Target runs at the farthest out Targets in my area (approx 25-30 miles out). I did some damage. Got all these at 30%+ off clearance
- 4181 Isla de Muerta
- 4182 Cannibal Escape
- 4738 Hagrid's Hut
- 4841 Hogwars Express (debating keeping it)
- 4867 Hogwarts
- 8097 Emperor Palpatine's Shuttle

FINALLY, after being out of stock for at least 2 months that I've been watching it, the Maersk Train is available again through Amazon $119.99. I've been sitting on trade-in credit this whole time waiting for that damn thing to come in stock so I could get it.

Surprisingly good...his set lasted at least an hour and forty-five minutes and he was rolling the whole time. My youngest sister works there and she got us tickets to the late show...front row table. Free tickets and free drinks=winning!

Dunno if this is old news or not - it was new to me.

I got the August Calendar from the Lego Store Friday morning and there's a few things of note.

Looks like 3648 Police Chase will be hitting US shelves in August.

August 22-28th there will be a Alien Conquest event - build an ADU Ship. The ship pictured is the awesome Vic Viper from 7066 Earth Defense HQ.

Thirdly, there's a "free gift with purchase" coupon for the Alien Conquest ADU Jetpack. It's free with any purchase of $35 or more.

There was another item or two on the calendar but nothing that really tops those three news items.

I'm actually more interested in hearing who the 2 pornstars were.

Just went to investigate my Kmart. They DID have a huge wall of $4 toy clearance items, but no LEGO made the cut. There were still several HERO Furno-bikes and ATLANTIS Deep Sea Strikers in regular toy clearance (and now no longer 50% off.) There were some ERECTOR SET cars in the $4 stack that I was sort of tempted by, anyone mess with those before? They are solid metal, look kinda cool.

I had one as a kid. It's awesome. I still have it somewhere. However it was so hard to build my dad had to do it for me, and he had issues with it.

I went to a different Target today and it seems they are adopting 25% as a new clearance markdown. The Quidditch HP set was $15, down from $20.

Amazon has had it for about $15 for awhile now.

My store put out some series 1 minifigures this weekend in the Build-A-Mini station. We got in the Caveman, Luchador(Super Wrestler), Tribal Hunter and Spaceman. If you live by a legostore I would recommend checking them out. Just keep in mind that the accessories are not available.

anyone know what the castle prison tower set clearance percentage at Target started out as?

I know some of the other castle sets seemed to start at 50%. I have my eye on one of the prison tower sets when it gets as low as it's going to get. If i miss out because of my insistence on getting the lowest? Oh well.
Most stuff starts out as 30% at Target.
I'm not so certain that's true, and it's probably all very YMMV. I know the PoP sets started at 15% off at my local store. And for some odd reason, the Atlantis sets went to 50% either in a week's time or started at 50%.

LEGOs tend to start at 15% off at Target, it is not YMMV, it just depends on the set. Most start at !5% and end at 50%, but a select few start at 30 and end at 75.

Clearance drops and their percentage is very YMMV. Typical clearance (not this current one) starts at 15% in my general area. Depending on location is how many weeks before the next point of 30%, then 50%, and very rare something makes 75%.

With this sale, most stores in my area dropped straight to 30%; 1 had stuff already at 50%. I haven't seen any movement in the past week for more price drop yet I have seen stock deplete; some sets completely sold out.

My advice... if you really want something and it is something that could sell, expect it to sell. Pick up a copy now and when you see the next drop, pick up a new version if it is still in stock and return it under the old receipt.

Things like Hero Factory, Atlantis will last for long time in clearance. Star Wars/Harry Potter will be lucky to make past 30%. Couldn't tell you about your Kingdom set. My guess it will go pretty quick due to the amount of useable pieces in that set.

everything is YMMV. The PoP sets at mine started at 30%, and the $5 sets were 25% off. He'll half the time my Targets have different clearance ideas than the other. It all depends on the store managers, it's not like Target Corp hacks all the chain's computers and sets the prices.

Best thing you can do with Targets is figure out how they work (even then it's a bit tough). I don't normally hit up the summer clearances since they are very ymmv, I enjoy the winter one after Christmas a lot better.
