Looks like it is: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=62698&in=S. Too bad it's the $100 Mission HQ set, though.Doesn't a few of the Super Agents sets have a laptop?
There are cheaper ones, including a few Friend $10 sets if you can still find them...Looks like it is: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=62698&in=S. Too bad it's the $100 Mission HQ set, though.
Have you ever tried working at a desk without bending your knees? It's probably great for the quads, and possibly for your core, but after a couple mintues, typing is really difficult.Cheapest set: http://www.amazon.com/Lego-Friends-Olivias-Desk-30102/dp/B007IYD4S6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1409239610&sr=8-1&keywords=LEGO+30102
I'm sure you can find it cheaper too.

It might have already been planned ahead of time.So now that all of the Lego news sites are reporting we will get a second wave of Simpsons minifigs next year I think we can, at minimum, state that the line was not a failure
I dunno, it's the only minifigure line I can remember seeing sitting on pegs this long after release. Hell, even when I went to the Lego store at Mall of America on Monday they still had a big dump bin full of them. I don't think it's so much the theme but rather the price increase. It'll be interesting to see how the next series between the 2 Simpsons series ends up selling. So now that all of the Lego news sites are reporting we will get a second wave of Simpsons minifigs next year I think we can, at minimum, state that the line was not a failure
For the knockoffs it is a lot cheaper to buy the sets of the figures, rather than individually. I have gotten several, generally at about $1 per figure. None that I have gotten have the head issue you mention. We have talked about this before but we can't use our anecdotal evidence as a measure against what TLG probably has in concrete numbers
Yesterday I picked up the ARC-170 poly at TRU. I also dipped my toes into the KO minifig game with Phoenix. The print is definitely solid, no complaints there BUT while her head is double sided, it is not removable nor does it turn. Can't complain too much as it was only $4 shipped and also when taking I to account I'll never spend $150-$200 for the comic con version. I also have a Shazam on the way from another seller. I imagine the head issue will be the same but I only spent $3 shipped on that one
All the SW UCS goes up in value over time, the only risk is if revisions make one version less , which hasn't affected the original 2006 Death Star as far as I can tell.Anyone think this set will shoot up in price the way the millennium falcon set from 2007 did, or was there something special about that set?

Well I have around $700 sitting around and nothing I want to spend it on, so I was thinking of getting these two sets:All the SW UCS goes up in value over time, the only risk is if revisions make one version less , which hasn't affected the original 2006 Death Star as far as I can tell.
I had one where the head appeared to be stuck on, but was able to get it off using a butter knife to pry it off. Might want to try something like that.We have talked about this before but we can't use our anecdotal evidence as a measure against what TLG probably has in concrete numbers

Not sure about everyone else, but the links don't work for me. They get stuck in a repeating load-loop.Well I have around $700 sitting around and nothing I want to spend it on, so I was thinking of getting these two sets:

http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Death-Star-10188?s=4657612
I'm not going to open them, just stick them on a shelf with all my other gaming and random crap that I have. I'd like to get two sets that not only look cool, but will serve as an investment as well. You people probably know a lot more about Lego than I do (haven't looked into Lego much since I was a kid), so would you recommend any other sets, or do these seem good? My basis for judgement was size, pieces, and series. I have no clue if production numbers are released for these sets or not, so I couldn't go by that, and that's usually one of the biggest factors for me when looking for things to collect.
By the way, does the Lego website have any coupons currently, or do they ever have good sales? I could wait a bit.
The sets I linked to are the Sandcrawler and the Death Star. Not sure about everyone else, but the links don't work for me. They get stuck in a repeating load-loop.
On eBay search "minifigures young justice" and you should find auctions from a few sellers for a 8 minifigures set that includes Nightwing in his black and blue outfit. They seem to go for $5-$8 with free shipping.Yeah I didn't want to force the head off and break it. I may try the butter knife.
I am only really interested in KO's of figures that Lego has already made (SDCC exclusives) I see that bundles run a little cheaper but $2 - $3 shipped for a KO of an SDCC exclusive is still a pretty good deal to me
Has anyone seen a KO of the old Nightwing (blue) minifig?
I'm no Lego investing expert, but any UCS Star Wars sets should gain value once they've been retired. Considering release date(2008), price tag, and popularity, the Death Star should be a great investment. The Sandcrawler was just released this year and I'm not sure how popular it actually is, so it will take some time before it's retired and worth any more than MSRP. I would personally grab a Death Star now and wait for Slave 1 instead of getting a Sandcrawler. The sets I linked to are the Sandcrawler and the Death Star.
Like a lot of people, I only paid $100 for mine. It was worth the investment. The B-Wing isn't worth any investments though.
Yeah, I noticed it was very popular. I checked eBay and people are paying over $500 for it already. Do you think there are any decent sets worth getting in the $60 to $70 range that may prove to be rare in a few years? I have some shop your way points at Kmart/Sears that I'm going to roll a few more times, then just use on something and get out of the program. I'd get more tools, but there's just nothing else I need. I was looking at the AT-AT (I'd have to go out of pocket a bit), or The Hobbit An Unexpected Gathering, since, well, who doesn't love the Shire?I'm no Lego investing expert, but any UCS Star Wars sets should gain value once they've been retired. Like Green Giant said, sets with unique minifigures are a good bet. I might suggest looking at some of the Super Heroes sets. There are a lot of unique figures in that line. You don't have to buy expensive sets either, even $20 sets have figures that people will want once the set is retired.Do you think there are any decent sets worth getting in the $60 to $70 range that may prove to be rare in a few years?
Which one gets less this one or Obi Wans Jedi Star Fighter? I thought the set was cool but when Lego burned all the sets last year all the resellers bought them. The B-Wing isn't worth any investments though.
So Eurobricks is having a contest you can win tickets to the NYC comic con where LEGO will reveal a new 2015 theme (I'm hoping it's not a license.) so go over there and see if you can get them.
Thar's one of the first SW UCS I would really love. It has color, a good piece count, and classic minifigs. I could see getting that, the X-Wing, and Sandcrawler and calling it a day.UCS Slave-1 pics!
No price or release info, but the pics are pretty darn nice. Boba Fett is new, too.

There's a clear correlation to high piece count sets and increased value once you are over 1500 pieces. In 5-6 years both of those sets could be worth tons though as a few in here said the death star is in more danger of getting shown up by another refresh in a few years where as that's likely the last Sandcrawler for a long time. The sets I linked to are the Sandcrawler and the Death Star.
They have had several now, yesterday it was $38.Exo Suit on AWD for $41.43 -- not a great price but its available unlike most everywhere else

Just keep an eye on Amazon and Target. Last week, Target had it for $39.99, so I grabbed one. Then the other day, Amazon had them for $34.99, so I grabbed another.Damn. Missed the Exo Suit again.
Is there any way to get those mini sets w/o making a mininum purchase? Why can't I just buy the mini set?!
Bricktober this year won't completely suck!

How much do you think you need to spend? I'm thinking $75 or something outrageous.
It's very YMMV. I've heard people say sometimes they sell them after the sale if there are extras, but my experience last year was that all the TRU around me were out of the free set usually by noon the first day of the new week. And those were only minifig sets. I'm expecting these to be very popular and hard to get. I honestly think it'll be cheaper bricklinking these parts, which I may do for the first time ever.Is there any way to get those mini sets w/o making a mininum purchase? Truth. Went to TRU for one of the later weeks offerings and the guy said the manager put them all out in week one and they sold them all.It depends on how these are shipped to stores this year. If it's the same as last year, it is possible to see some of these hit shelves before they are suppose to.
Last year, the minifigure sets were sent to stores through the distribution centers so they came in with normal product. Some stores put out the sets early thinking it was just regular product.
All previous years they came in through seperate shipments from FedEx, all indicating Bricktober materials. So there was no chance that they could have been put out early.
