It's been going in and out of stock for the past week or so. I lucked out and got one yesterday. Keep checking and hopefully you'll get lucky. This past weekend Amazon had the Brick Bank in stock for $170. I really wanted to buy one but that's not in my budget. Then this morning I figured out my tax refund and I could have bought it.
So this is a lesson to always buy the expensive LEGO set that's had a $100 price increase in just the last month.
The problem is that Sunday night it said 'Backorder, be in stock Feb 6th', but they aren't getting more in. I don't really have the money anyways as I will probably need to move to get a reliable year round job. I currently work on a farm for a ing psychopath. If you go to a Wegman's in Massachusetts we grow their local produce. It's why I didn't buy it right away, I'm trying to save money. (Even though I have spent like $150 in the last month on eBay LEGO junk)It's been going in and out of stock for the past week or so. I lucked out and got one yesterday. Have you tried Brickseek? I saw them at Target within the last few weeks.I procrastinated and can’t find Mickey Mouse Brickheadz anywhere. Anyone see him lately? Looks like all retailers are sold out online and eBay, bricklink prices start out at $30
Mine said the same thing when I bought it this weekend but I got a shipping confirmation this morning. Also earlier this morning they had 17 more in stock. I was going to post but wasn't logged in to CAG on my phone. By the time I got to my office they were sold out already. The problem is that Sunday night it said 'Backorder, be in stock Feb 6th', but they aren't getting more in.

I love you and hate you right now. I don't think I can do it. $120 for Detective Office, $120 Fishing Shop, $170 Bank. I could have bought a new phone for that price and I really need a new phone. (I still use my 5 year old iPhone 4.)Brick Bank is in stock at the moment.
Agreed, tough price tag to swallow though ... seems like Target is the only place that has dropped it down to a bit more manageable $220-230 in the past.I like assembly square between all the ones currently available.
If you don't want the boxes I can maybe pick them up for you if I see them. The boxes would just kill the shipping. I'd ship them for cost.Yes I’ve checked brickseek for Mickey, both Walmart and target have nothing.
Barnes and Noble site says nada too.
I’m going to Disneyland next weekend and gonna check the downtown Disney LEGO store. Of all places hopefully they still have some
I haven't built any and wish I had the Green Grocer. My favorite, having not built any of them, is the D.O., the Bank doesn't look special (The store is cute though) but I don't want to miss out on it and have to pay $400 for it in six months. But I really should cut down my debt and not keep adding to it.How does Brick Bank compare to the other modular buildings? I’ve got Green Grocer and the Old Fishing Store (technically not one, but comparable) and at one point owned the theater, cafe corner and grand emporium. Are there any must haves from those that just retired (bank, detective, etc) or the more recent modulars? Thinking about picking a couple up over the next few months.
Of the most recent ones, the Detective Office is probably my favorite. Assembly Square and Parisian Restaurant would round out a top 3.How does Brick Bank compare to the other modular buildings? Brickseek says it's OOS everywhere near me in all three major stores but I feel like Brickseek has been way wrong since they want to charge you $500 a month or whatever the membership is. So I'll keep my eye out.GG if you happen to find Mickey I would gladly take it, box not necessary since I will build and display him. Thanks
No, it's retired. It's been OOS at S@H and everywhere else since about 12:30 eastern on November 23, 2018. That's why it's so weird what's going on with Amazon. Is Brick Bank really retired if it seems to keep popping back into stock and lists more on the way? I have one arriving tomorrow ... but I feel like I got caught up in the retirement hype
Well, are you gonna tell us which sets you bought?I went a little crazy buying retired sets on eBay over the past week. Catching up on sets I missed and hopefully helping to put some resellers' kids through college.
I'll do another round of purchases if we end up getting a 15-20% eBay coupon.
Oh sorry. Partial list below, I got a few more last night and this morning that I haven't cataloged yet.Well, are you gonna tell us which sets you bought?
I was trying to look for that one on clearance, never got found it. =(Got the incredibles great home escape for $15 today

Fixed.illenium's post reminded me I need to start listing my extra sets. Or maybe I'll just list them here. I'm moving in August and need to donate some stuff to husher.
I need to do the same. I'm thinking about building my Star Wars sets from 1999-2002ish era and see how much they are worth. On brick link there are Studio theme Spiderman minifigures trying to be sold at $25-50, I figured I can do half of that and still make a hell of a profit. Plus I still have a McDondal's still in it's box.illenium's post reminded me I need to start listing my extra sets. Or maybe I'll just list them here. I'm moving in August and need to sell off some stuff.
I think we can officially call AWD dead. 2% off a 'like new' set? I was actually holing out that this would happen, but they should be 1at least 10% off, more so 'Very Good' used to be 15-17% off at least, not like 8%. I think I'm just going to go ' food and rent' and buy the damn thing. My credit is already awful, it can't get much worse. :lol:Amazon Warehouse has a couple of Brick Banks right now. The lowest price is $158.09 (very good condition).
People here usually go 'Hey, I have this I'm going to stick on eBay if anyone wants first dibs'. Like someone here posted about a monorail and I would have loved to have bought. But yeah what are you looking for and we can see what we all have.Do people ever sell retired sets here? I assume most people here are experts in buy low / sell high so I'm guessing it's unlikely. But since I've been paying low-end eBay prices anyway, I figure it can't hurt to check. I'd always rather give money to a CAG than a random eBayer.
I made a want list on Brickset: https://brickset.com/sets/wantedby-illenniumProbably more likely if you are looking for opened sets. What are you looking for specifically?
I might be interested, depending on the price and the sets. I bought some minifig lots on eBay so if I'm able to match up those minifigs with sets to complete them, that could definitely work for me. The minifig lots I bought were heavy on super heroes, Jurassic Park, and Lord of the Rings.I'd be very willing to part with most Super Hero sets sans minifigs, for example, but I doubt anyone really wants them without the minifigs.
Actually if you have some buildings you want to get rid of we should talk. I buy Friend sets just for the buildings and throw the minidolls to the side.I'd be very willing to part with most Super Hero sets sans minifigs, for example, but I doubt anyone really wants them without the minifigs.
A lot of those sets will be super easy and cheap, like the Alien Defense set is still super cheap on eBay. Chima, Scoopy and even some LotR ones are still cheap. However the 'historical' ones (Castle, big LotR, Egypt) people like.I made a want list on Brickset: https://brickset.com/sets/wantedby-illennium
I have the Agents HQ one, but it's dusty, and I know one of the claws is broken because my cats keep knocking the robot off the shelf...I made a want list on Brickset: https://brickset.com/sets/wantedby-illennium
Nah, all Lego talk is welcome here. Maybe just go to private messaging with specific back and forth deal making.Edit: Do we need to move this to a trade thread? Not that there's more than like the ~10 regulars here, usually.
Thanks, I'm going to slowly chip away at my want list on eBay. I mostly like the larger (700+ piece) sets which largely seem to start at MSRP and go from there. My favorite is the sellers who list sets at $2,000 that are readily available at $300. Not sure what they're thinking but I guess it takes all kinds.A lot of those sets will be super easy and cheap, like the Alien Defense set is still super cheap on eBay.
