boy has time gone by real fast.
What have we learned in the past 5 years.
-The US is not really the big cheese anymore.
-The US can be given a bloody nose
-The US is quick to point the finger at an enemy , yet we go after Daddy Bush's personal enemy (Sadaam)
-The US takes out Sadaam, but his country is left even more
ed up than before.
-Thosands of people have died under Bush's rule :| yet we (not me) voted for him for a second round.
-Gas prices are going threw the roof and no relief in sight. Remember back in 1997 when gas prices were like $0.99 cents??? Say goodbye to under 2 dollar gas prices
-Pretty much everyone accepts what the government says about what happened on 9/11.
-The best jobs these days are military contractors making new toys for bush's war machine..everything else gets outsourced to India
-North Korea is ready to give the US a bloody nose as well
-The middle east is really going to hell now and bush doesn't really care (hey at least Clinton tried right?)
-The government makes these statements from time to time that they "foiled" a potential terroist plot, yet no one really has any firm details about what the are they talking about.
-The airline industry is pretty muched now a days because of people afraid of flying and the rising cost of fuel and new 9/11 regs pissing people off.
-The media has become pro bush and his "global war on terror"...any one who disagrees getsed and fired (Dan Rather)
-Dispite new policies, new upgrades, new security messures and technology, security is still lacked so you can still get around airport security with ease (several news reports have reported this, example dateline nbc)
-it will take just 1 more attack similar to 9/11 for bush to force everyone in the US to have government issued ID tags that can be checked by anyone at will... walking your dog late at night? get stopped by a cop or government official? forgot your government issue ID? get taken away...
-what's bush doing these days? Vacation, Vacation, Vacation
-The idea of creating an International Space station to help bring the nations of the world together in creating a project in peace has pretty much become a joke and that thing will never get done because all efforts are being focused on the "war on terror". Forget the mars/moon project now.
-Nasa will most likely be gone or militarized within the next 5 years :|
-No one wants to join the military anymore and those who signed up pre-911 and went over to IRAQ areed or dead all because Bush wants to make daddy bush happy.
-New York Cops and Firefighters have a shit load more respect these days then they had pre 9-11.
-New Yorkers have chilled out these days since 9/11 as they know how to come together during hard times and don't up there city (unlike the Elian Gonzales riots in south florida in 2000...what a bunch of shit..and yes I was there when it happened).
-Bush says the reason why 9/11 happened was because the terrorist "Hate freedom" and everything it stands for. Oh really??? So what he is saying that there is a group of people out there bent on taking over the world and oppressing all human free rights.......okkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk.... yet the average joe says ok and excepts that.
-Dispite all this advance tech we have, we still haven't captured Osama....what the is up with that?
-FEMA is now a joke, thanks to Homeland Security (see Hurricane Katrina from last year)
-9/11 victims and family members of those who died during the attack were quickly forgotten about by the government, yet strangers come together to help them out with money and other donations..
