LET'S MAKE FUN OF THE SPIKE VIDEO GAME AWARDS!

omg he just did not say "Wu Tang Is For The Kids".. LOL that's so awesome.. that's from wayyy back..

HAHAHAHAAH!!! Samuel L. Jackson called San Andreas "Grand Theft Auto 2". TWICE!

While I do agree Burnout 3 was the most addictive game of the year (lord knows I spent many nights on XBOX Live) but GTA for best game of the year? What a shame...
I hope Tommy Lee catches on fire
At least something good would come from this 2 hour waste of air time.

is this the snoop dog show or something?
Host...
Which is funny, since.. who is that, funkmaster flex? is doing all the announcing.

Yeah, and neither him or Snoop Dogg should be anywhere near the awards.
Is it me or is Tiger Woods the most un-black, black person ever?
Yeah, but he's not all black, so....
Is it me or is Tiger Woods the most un-black, black person ever?
I wasn't aware that black people had to conform to be something that they are.

I'm just catching the beginning for the first time now. Is this whole Red's gang vs. Meth's gang bit awfully "West Side Story?" I'm waiting for Maria to appear on a balcony next to Funkmaster Flex and serenade someone.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Snoop in his new game, Dead to Rights.

...oops. I meant True Crime II.

Oops. I meant Fear and Respect.

Oops. I meant I'm completely uninterested in the pending pile.

Yeah, that's what I meant.

Yippie!
Lets' pile more praise on EA so they can continue to rape our wallets, mistreat thier employees, and stifle innovation!!
Yippie!!

So, why such a complex title for Snoop's game? I mean, it's not like he's ever going to promote it as anything more pronounceable than "Fizzle and Respizzle."

That is, after he asks the crowd what, indeed, is crack-a-lacking.

And the audience shrugs.

Wow this show was so bad, I now am without a T.V., when snoop said some stupid shit, I got so pissed I urinated on my T.V., and threw it out of my 3rd floor apartment window, and it went through some dudes, windshield, wait a sec, was that a brown, oh shit that was my car. Oh well now I don't have to watch it anymore

I got the new Game Informer, and they gave a big review of Fear & Respect. It caught my attention... made by John Singleton, the director of Boyz 'N The Hood. The only thing I thought was odd, was that they kept mentioning how this game isn't like GTA at all. But with how they described it, it sounded exactly like True Crime but from the "bad guy"'s perspective. They avoided mentioning that game. But I liked TC, and what's interesting about this game, is they say that you can't run around killing everyone like you can in GTA. I like that rule, because the first thing I'll do if I play it is break that rule. Everyone dies!!!!!

Oh, come on, FrankySox. You mean to tell me you weren't wildly entertained by the subtlely and dry wit required for the proper delivery of that wry little gem of Snoop's;

"I haven't seen that much fake gold since Flavor Flav smiled at me."

C'est magnificque!

Maybe I'm just naive, but as the majority of the presenters are actors, wouldn't it be prudent of them, simply from a careerist self-preservation standpoint, to get hold of the copy they'll be reading for banter onstage, and (oh, I don't know) MEMORIZE it? Granted, they're there to have fun and not really work, but it is all of two to four lines, and they're purportedly professionals. Except for Hawk and Margera and the like.

Just a thought. It'd avoid a lot of awkwardness and artificiality that plagues shows like these.

This show is now THE king of the unintentional comedy scale. Mostly because they were serious. I tuned out half-way, but here are my high-lites.

-Brooke Burke using the phrase "it's gonna be a great show" over and over again, even while interviewing guests......

-Brooke "we're going to honor the games and the musicians tonight." Musicians???? WTF!?!? Who the f--- cares about them?!? Why have so many musical acts in a video game award show.

-Brooke talking to AL rookie of the year Bobby something.... "So, can we expect you to have a great year next year too? Bobby "Yeah....." 5 seconds of dead air follows........

-Tony Hawk sounding like a retard as he reads off a teleprompter. "GTA San Andreas had a lot of pressure on it since the previous games were so good. It not only lived up to them it blew them. (5 hilarious dead seconds) ....away" (the teleprompter was catching up).

-Multiple people who presented awards who didn't even read off the name of the winning game. Roy Jones Jr. stood there like a moron for 10 seconds holding a DVD case and trying to find the name of the winner on it. The DJ saved his ass.

-Ron Pearlman accepting an award for Halo 2. His acceptance speech "It's the best I ever looked." and then he walks away!!! The rep from Bungie said "we'd like to thank the fans".....and then he just walks away!!!!!

-Badly choreographed fight sequences during the 10minute rap intro. The dancers were fruitier than the Chaquita Banana lady's hat.

I'm still laughing to myself.......I want to see it again!

We're all cracking jokes about this vulgar display of crappiness, but it genuinely pisses me off. It promotes a, for lack of a better word, gay (not in the literal sense) image of videogames. A whole bunch of second rate pop culture asshats raping the REALNESS out of something I hold dearly, videogams. Most of these jerkoffs don't even know a damn thing about games. The only game they ever played was pong. God this is gay.

LMAO

oh man the spike tv video game awards are good comedy

Still and all, I must say I prefer this year's show to last year's. At the (very) least, they've sunk a bit of money into this year's show. Whereas last year's looked like it was shot for forty bucks in a KFC parking lot.

This show just seemed like a complete and utter joke to me which is why I never bothered to watch this years or last years. Some of the comments are pretty funny/pathetic on Spike's part. Keep em coming.

Raekwonthachef, I definitely agree with your message.

Worst Shaq-fuing show I've seen the whole year. Utter CRAP!!!! Why did GTA SA win best game?!!!!!!! WHY?! A part of me died today.....

I totally agree. But what's done is done. Let's send a message to these fucktards that we as the gaming community DO NOT agree with their representation of us. Any ideas???

Another fav of mine.

The super-secret previews of 2005 games was a nice idea. But when they talked about the new Zelda game for the Cube, they showed footage of the windwaker!!!!
