I did a licence transfer to my 360 a few months ago. I was having trouble getting on Live, and the person on phone support suggested recovering my profile. Eventually got that working, but I could only play my arcade games while signed on to xbox live. That was fine, until a few months ago when I moved. For a while I didn't have internet access at home, so I couldn't play my arcade games anymore. So once I had online access at home again, I did a licence transfer.
Now, I got the RRoD again, and my 360 is out of warranty. I'm not going to spend $100 to get it fixed, so I have had someone try to fix it for me. I guess it was ovewrheated or something. He got the three lights to go away, but there's still two red lights. I don't know if there's any way to fix it.
I've been looking at getting an elite for a while now, but I just did a warranty transfer a few months ago, and I hear you HAVE to wait a full year no matter what to do it again. Is that true?
