So I'm considering selling the majority of my remaining PS1 games and replacing them with the more convenient PSN versions.

I've largely rejected the digital distribution of games until now because I like the security of knowing I truly own the game because I can actually touch the disc. With digital games, you're kind of at the mercy of DRM.

Obviously PSN and Xbox Live are profitable services certain to continue one way or another with the next generation of consoles. But I guess I'm still reluctant about dropping hundreds of dollars into games, which one day (even if it's really far away) I may no longer be able to access.

I know it's a dumb thing to stress about, but...am I the only one?

I've wondered about this, but hasn't really bothered me. I wonder if I'll even care about the games by the time PSN/Live go away. If they ever do.

I don't worry about it much. I'll just make sure to get everything onto a HDD before the system goes belly up. That's what I did on the original Xbox.
