Limited? Red Wii

How limited was the red Wii? I didn't get one but there is a store near me which has two and I was thinking about getting one. Not sure to get the red or black.
Also a question about firmware. Is there a way to tell by the box or serial number what firmware is on the Wii.
I know the red have 4.3.

It won't be made again in red. If you want a red color wii then buy it.
If not. then buy the black or white.
