Just wanted to ask- has anyone ever had a LRG show up in the mail damaged? Just curious how reliable these guys are when it comes to shipping and packaging and whether anyone has had any negative experiences.
Yes, there have been issues, but these guys do their best to learn from each negative, as well as the positive, as no place is perfect. If any issues do happen, just open a ticket on their site, and they should take care of it.

LRG ships the limited, highly collectible games in bubble mailers, which increases the chance that the disc could come loose. Yes, the disc could still come loose even if the game is shipped in a box, but using a bubble mailer increases the chance. It also increases the chance that the case could get cracked.

Not sure what you are talking about. My last 5+ orders have shipped in LRG branded cardboard boxes at no extra charge...

A few games back, they started doing boxes for all PS4 games, that have at least one other item included. So if anyone meets that requirement, they get a box. As far as I know, if a single PS4 game is ordered, I believe those still get a bubble mailer.

LRG is still a business offering physical games at a decent price, and trying to make a dollar in the process. Amazon, GS, BB, etc all use bubble mailers for free or paid shipping, and the same things can happen. They offer ZERO options for a box, maybe you get one, maybe you don't, they don't care either way. If you don't want a mailer, order a box. Or meet the requirement for a box.

There are options, and no one is forcing you to order games from this company. If the case arrives cracked, contact them and say so, and then see about getting a replacement, one and done.

Boxes purchased in bulk don't cost that much, and the shipping weight would probably be under 10 ounces for one game. I'm guessing LRG's bottom line would still be fine, but I have no idea.

What I really care about, though, is why you did not reply to my question about "sale" versus "sell".

While not technically an LRG release, this seems like the best thread to post this upcoming Play-Asia exclusive:

Honestly, I didn't think it deserved a reply, so I didn't answer.

I've written **** both ways in several of my comments, and honestly, I just got tired of the same stupid ass question being asked(by those who state they aren't the grammar police, but continue to ask the same question over and over). I read tons of broken English, incomplete sentences, and everything in-between in regards to the US language, I have no idea what a persons first language is, or do I care, as long as a statement is understood, why does it matter?

Correcting someones speech seems a complete and utter waste of time in my opinion, as this is the worldwide web, and many users may or may not know the correct use of certain words, and why should it matter? If someone here is paying someone else to be schooled, then more power to them, I just find these corrections, as another avenue for users to try and "fix or "correct" others and for what?

Anyone who knows me here, knows that I don't follow the status quo, and if everyone here is going left, I'm going right. So now I write it either way just to see how many guys will continue to waste time out of their day to inquire, and point it out and I'm never disappointed. The twilight Zone episode "The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street" is the perfect example of this, as the people and where there from may change, but the outcome is always the same.

Cool. Keep trollin'.
Mmmmmm, shouldn't trollin' be written as "trolling", as that would be the correct way to spell it, as I find no non urban spelling of that word used in that manner. Why did you write it that way? As no school would have taught that manner of spelling.

This joke is dead

It was never a joke to begin with, I asked the same question asked of me. If users want to correct others, then their written word here should stand up to the same scrutiny. Otherwise don't open your pie hole to begin with.
Oh, someone's serious. I love a good grammar discussion right in the middle of a deal site. So let's talk about the exciting apostrophe and one of its uses in the English language. This paragraph is from classroom.synonym.com:

Unless you’re using a verb as part of a contraction, the only time you would use an apostrophe with a verb is if you were trying to shorten it -- in other words, if you were using slang. (Or, to put it more casually, if you were usin’ slang.) Here, you drop the “g” at the end of “ing” and replace it with an apostrophe. There are very, very few instances where you would want to do this. Perhaps as part of the colloquial dialogue in a piece of creative work, you might write “He’s runnin’ away” instead of “He’s running away,” or “They’re goin’ off the deep end” instead of “They’re going off the deep end.” But this type of slang should be used exceedingly sparingly and only in specific instances to serve a clear rhetorical purpose since it isn’t grammatically correct and is generally not accepted in formal writing.

For fuck's sake. Let's stop this grammatical tirade. It's unbecoming, puerile, and tyros have no right to administer advice on punctuation.

This is not Oxford comma please stop!

Who cares if he doesn't follow perfect grammar with every post? No reason to nitpick stuff like that, especially since he contributes a lot of good information and insights to the forums.

This one is bordering shameless.
Why is it "bordering shameless"? Cursed Castilla is an excellent arcade style Ghosts and Goblins style game, a perfect type of game to get a physical release (lots of replayability). I will personally preorder this on Day One, looking forward to having a physical release of the game.

I agree 100% and will buy Day 1. If this game was offered by LRG people would be all over it. I love what Play Asia has been doing and will support them on their physical releases.

I'd answer the "why" but you've all demonstrated you understood.

Edit: Maybe not... I mean it's a shameless Super Ghouls clone. I'm gonna buy it too. But still.

Yeah maybe...but when you make a clone game 25 years later with updated graphics and features and such, it's typically considered a "love letter" or "homage" and not really a rip-off anymore because the original game is no longer drawing a profit. So it's not considered a threat or issue to the sales of the original.

I mean, so is that Battle Princess Madelyn game, it looks promising though so I supported
I was gonna support that at the 130$ level but was turned off by all the emails about the backstory and the arcade machine limited to 2 buyers tier. I'll just buy it on LRG I guess. I enjoy old school capcomish side scrollers but some try harder than others to be "original."

I wanted to pledge higher on BPM as well, but some of the items I wanted, there just wasn't enough info on them yet for me to go all in on. So I just went with the basic game option option, and I'm hoping a physical Vita version can and will happen, so I can move over to that instead of the PS4.

I also hope that later on down the line, they will offer the extra's as individual add on items, as I still may get some other stuff, but just not until more details and some final product info is shared.

I've been eyeballing the Cursed Castilla for awhile, and while I did cancel that other PS4 game PA offered, I may get in on this. Can't get enough G&G.

just wanted to chime in and say its pointlessly strange. i dont use perfect grammar or really care about sentence structure on a forum (unless its really bad lol) but your posts are 99.9% fine grammatically with quotations, commas, capital letters etc and then you continuously go off the rails using the word sale.

i suppose i can understand how you find it amusing but there's no denying that its quite odd/pointless and as such you're going to continue receiving responses about it.

I may buy the PA version too, but what about a physical release is better for "replayability" then a digital version?

These games don't have much replayability at all unless you're after high scores. Most of us just suffer through them once and realize after breaking lots of our shit and being prescribed statins we should shelve them.

If you buy two or more games, with at least one being a PS4 game we'll ship everything in a box for free. If anything arrives damaged, we always will work to replace it for you. We reserve a small portion of every run for replacements and barring situations where we oversold or accidentally double shipped, we've always been able to oblige replacements.

It's not the cost of the boxes that matters. It's the speed of folding the boxes and the cost of that. If everything shipped in a box, we'd not only have to take three days more (on average) to ship stuff - we'd also have to pay a box folder for those three days.

Out of every 5,000 PS4 games sold, we only get about 30 - 40 support tickets regarding damage from shipment. That's a <.01% order defect rate. It's not high enough of an issue for us to lose three more days to shipping. We'd rather eat the costs to replace damaged games. For those who want to be cautious, we offer a shipping box upgrade for $1.99.

For Vita games - out of 100,000 sold, we've gotten 40 back as crushed or damaged. Vita cases are sturdy. Anything beyond a bubble mailer is overkill in a practical sense. Again, if folks want peace of mind we offer a shipping box upgrade. It's really not necessary, though, as we'll gladly replace damaged games barring we haven't oversold them (as we did with Oddworld and Aqua Kitty). Again, though, Vita defect rate is <.001%.

Important note is that we have not arbitrarily decided what ships in a box versus a bubble mailer. PS4 discs are not more likely to go loose in a bubble mailer versus a box. It has to do with pressure on the center of the case. I can make a PS4 disc go loose in the center of a box as easy as I can do it in a bubble mailer. When we shipped two PS4 games in a mailer or one PS4 and one Vita game, the occurence of loose discs was stupid high because one game would put pressure on the next. If one is shipped in a mailer the only pressure is an outside force - which can occur with a box or bubble mailer. Not to mention discs going loose from shaking or mishandling of packages which will be an issue with a box or bubble mailer.

Hope this all makes sense.

Do you guys still use those blue LRG boxes or have you moved on the more cube-ish shape white boxes that I got for my recent order (Astebreed, Pang)?

Frankly, while the blue LRG boxes were cool, they were a bit too cozy for 3 games + OST. I liked the white box more.

Wow I am so late to this LRG game. I so would've gotten the Shantae's back if I had known about this. Oh well I'm watching this thread from now on! Definitely wish I could've gotten oddworld too.
