Oddworld Inhabitants mentioned on Twitter that they may do another release through LRG. Hell Yeah!

The delay was basically because of PAX, which consumed a lot of their time, and due to the all of the effort they put there instead advertising the game on their social media outlets, which was filled with PAX stuff really.

They were worried that the games wouldn't sell well because of the lack of advertising, so they pushed it all back.

Of course we all know that the game was going to sell well regardless of if they advertised it or not, but I guess it's better to be safe than sorry.

I doubt it would have been a disaster just because they didn't "advertise" for a week.

At the very least we know the Vita version would've sold out for sure. :p

Are these guys serious? I don't think I've ever seen an ad for any of these games(minus the ones they send 10 minutes after the games have sold out).

It's all good, if their busy, or just wanting to push it back, I'm fine either way. But come on, saying advertisements for a 3000 qty game is a problem is nonsense.

They usually do a few streams and promos and things like that in the week leading up to a release, but like you said, we all know how long 3000 Vita games will last. I don't see much point in a delay, either.

Oh well. One more week for my wallet to catch it's breath.

Yeah, it is kind of hilarious that the emails advertising the game always seem to come out right after it's sold out. Its super weird that a lack advertising is to blame when the game has been known to be coming out on 9/9 for ages now. Maybe this will work to our advantage though and people will be all confused by it not being on sale on 9/9 and they'll forget to set new alarms.

I heard stuff and the poor dudes dealing with a car accident and kidney stone this week too. I don't mind a delay.

Edit: oh, I guess they didn't get the vita games yet either.

Yeah, Douglas is the one dealing with kidney stones, which sucks.  It really was just really poor timing that everything happened at once, on top of everything they did at PAX. :p

At least it's good to know where we are not at least.

Happy I won't need to lose sleep this Friday, but also dreading I'll lose sleep next Friday. :(

They also haven't gotten the vita copies, which are the only things worth promoting. Those are the copies that get sent to youtubers, aka, their advertising.

Of course they had to delay it to a day I have off work aka, I'll have to try at 6 pm cause there is no way I'm waking up early on a day off

It's about time.

Looks like Volume will be October now, with another dual platform title they're trying to get the green light to announce for the 30th to go along with One Way Heroics.

R.I.P. Fulfillment Center: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=216212743&postcount=8101

Probably a good move given all the issues they've had.
That's great news, but those fulfillment center clowns should be ashamed of themselves for loosing out on what I considered to be a good level of business.

I wish I was in NC, as I would have gladly taken up shipping services for LRG, but sadly we live in an age where quality of work, and pride in ones job is lost to the masses.

Oh well, all is good in the end I suppose.

It's amazing. I remember LRG mentioning they were the largest client at this place. How on Earth could you screw up that badly? You keep a good relationship with LRG and you have steady business for years to come.

Yeah, this was my thinking as well. LRG is only growing, and how can a business just afford to turn down business in this day and age? Over the years though, I've seen every side of business, real-estate, sales, etc, and it never surprises me the level of work most people put forward in what they do(or lack there of).

My order is still unfulfilled.
I'm pretty sure even if the fulfillment center was doing better, LRG probably had so many issues from the last couple of orders, that they have lost time and funds trying to fix everything. If they have to put forth that much effort, they might as well do it themselves. Hopefully your order and the other mix ups get fixed before the next batch of games go live.

It's not that fulfillment centers can't screw up, but it's the fact that they screwed up last time, and this time it still seems like they haven't really fixed much, or improved significantly, so it was time for them to go.

They can write all the apology letters they like, but in the end it's about the results, and it hasn't looked good.

There has been no mention of anything changing so nothing will ever improve in this situation.

I understand it's a small team but some of the service is really piss poor. I've sent e-mail before and no one even bothered to respond.
Because this is literally my biggest pet peeve. How do you suggest we fix the loose disc issue without unsealing everyone's games and padding the *inside* of the case?

You should do that to all of his orders, even the Vita titles.

It'll be funny. :D

This is absolutely beyond me but their floor staff keeps using box cutters on the PS4 game cartons. They have five different easy to unseal flaps to choose from and yet they keep using box cutters and slicing games. We've asked them countless times to not use box cutters.

It also doesn't help that they missed every estimate for shipping completion. Additionally, we're still dealing with huge issues from the Octodad and Soldner runs. It's the right time to move on.

Unfortunately, we may still need them for One Way Heroics. We just won't have the capacity to ship a run that large until we get a warehouse and some more help. Dragon Fantasy should be a breeze for us to ship, though.

Even if they use a box cutter, it doesn't mean they have to slice a box open like a serial killer. ;P

Sony would actually let me order the games without shrinkwrap. That'd sure make my life easier. :D

Yeah good luck with the box cutter stuff. We have items that go through our DC in excess of $3,000 a pop, have done specific training, have custom made boxes...and they still get cut open. I don't envy you trying to find someone trustworthy and efficient to handle your items as it's a giant pain(not that self fulfilling is any better, wait for the first time someone cuts off a finger on the clock). Only going to get worse over the coming months too as all the decent PT warehouse help is going to get snatched up by Amazon fulfillment centers. Welcome to my world...

Ugh, that delay sucks for me as I'll be on the last day of my cruise and thus in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico when Dragon Fantasy goes up. I'm wondering if it will even be worth paying for the onboard Internet for the day in an attempt to try and get it? It's either that or pay the scalper price on eBay when I get back.

Ah well, first world problems I guess.

What incentive does the fulfillment company have for doing a better job handling orders on the 30th if it's already clear it's possibly their last bit of business?  Seems kind of dumb to announce you are firing them before they handle yet another batch of stuff knowing full well this was an important contract for their company.  Heck they could possibly retaliate and just refuse to process the orders since it's been made public they are done.   I think it would have made more sense to just announce that the orders for Dragon Fantasy TBToI would be handled in house and just not said a thing about the fulfillment company.

That's crazy. There's almost no reason to be using knives on anything coming from Sony. They are probably one of the only companies that ship more than 90% of their games and movies in boxes that are glued shut and you only need need to pull a tab to open them.

I would hope professionalism has something to do with it.

I would honestly rather wait a month to receive my stuff, that have been packed safely by you guys. I mean, the people who want to play it ASAP likely bought the digital copy when it was released. Most of us just want the physical copy safely.

Since LRG can get the games from Sony without shrinkwrap they can just say, if GameStop can sell new games opened then we can too.

This isn't a fight between friends, it's a business.

There are contracts, agreements, and other pieces in place that can result in something much more severe than just a bruised ego.

It'd be moronic for them to try anything at this point, unless they decide they don't want to be is business with anyone anymore, and just close down all of their operations.

They're still getting paid for it, and if they do not fulfill that responsibility they won't get paid, and in the end it's about the money, and they'll gladly take that, especially since this will probably be the last of their biggest payouts, and in the end that's all that really matters.

"Due to a string of mishaps and slow fulfillment time, we've decided to drop our current fulfillment center and move shipping back in-house so that we can provide a higher level of quality and care with the shipment of your orders. "

Thank god

In addition to Dragon Fantasy, an exclusive release of the Saturday Morning RPG sountrack on vinyl will be available for purchase on Friday, September 16th. This vinyl is limited to just 450 individually numbered copies and will be priced at $27.99. A bundle with some of our last remaining copies of Saturday Morning RPG for PS4 and Vita is slated to be available as well.
:bouncy:

Yeah, I got that email as well from LRG. I might try and grab one of those vinyl's, but I don't know yet. Funds have been kind of slim, and I really don't need that, but it seems cool, so we'll see?

what is bumming me out, is that theres another bundle for SMRPG and i really dont want to have to get other stuff i dont want just to get a vita copy of a game i missed out on getting.

Yup. 2064 read only memories comes out Septemer 27 so it makes sense. But it looks like it's ps4 only so maybe it's an October game?

Edit: it also has a vita release but it got delayed.
