On the Kickstarter page for Sundered, the CA$100 tier doesn't have the above mentioned (it says PC only). Is that because the info hasn't been updated? I just want to make sure I'm getting all of the goodies mentioned above.
If you scroll down further it says this:

  • PC and PS4 in the same box! That's right - not only are we confirming physical PS4 for the Sundered campaign, but every copy of the Physical Collector's Box will include physical versions for both the PS4 and PC! Reminder: this is in addition to the Digital copy for the system of your choice from the previous reward tiers! [Note: we're unable to change the description of the CA$ 100 Eschaton Elder tier on the campaign page to reflect this - sorry for the confusion!]

@Squarehard - I have been following both companies, but apparently not as well as you would like me to. Gaijinworks isn't just a name "I pulled out of my hat" either. Yes they might be slow on releases but there is no stress when trying to get a game from them. Like kevinmlssu said people can't be at their phones/computers at those times. I know I have had to miss out on second batches because I work evenings. All I am saying is I would like less stress when all I want to do is buy a video game.
Probably an overreaction on my part, so I apologize. I've almost never participated on all the other long discussions we've had in the dozens of pages prior about pre-orders, so I guess this time it just hit a nerve with me finally with that example.

Looking at your response, I'm guessing you genuinely just don't know about the background of Gaijinworks, as it's far more than just a "slow on releases" issue with them, which I'm fine with. Just to let you know that Gaijinworks was just a really bad example to use as they have several shady practices that goes beyond just slow timing. I mean, LRG is having a hard time with release schedule too on pre-orders, so that clearly wouldn't be what catches my attention. It's really everything else about the company that just irks me in general, so to see anyone using that to make a point seems ill informed to me.

I would think it'd be hard to address the stress thing, since it's almost a part of their model, and the reason why it's been successful. Not everyone will have the time to be there, but some who typically don't have the time still make the time to do it. We've seen many purchase from work, step out from work, running errands, and doing other things being able to do it. It's not impossible to do, but it just depends on how badly you really want the games. Hopefully for future releases they'll start getting higher, and higher quantities of releases so it'll lessen the stress of missing out on games, but deciding quantities has always been sort of a mixed bag for discussion as well, so we'll see how that goes with future releases.

I was actually going to ask about this and just curious who else is backing this?

Yeah, after reading others comments on Gaijinworks, and doing my own research, I decided to pass on their most recent preorder. I haven't dealt with Victor since the Working Designs days, and I didn't know he was even still around until reading it here.

Sadly, there where just to many "red flags" that didn't have much to do with delays, but just bad customer service in general. I really don't care much about problems, as shit happens, but when you can't get answers, refunds, or even a response from a company, that's a HUGE no no in my book.

Word of mouth is everything, and if a person or persons can't be bothered to defend or explain situations within a business, that tells me what kind of people and companies I'm dealing with. LRG has been stellar so far in their dealings with the community, and considering the volume they deal with monthly, the fact that they spend time in forums at all, shows a lot about their character VS. some other places.

I would handle additional pre-order campaigns on a case-by-case basis, largely dependent on the developer in question. This initial pre-order campaign for Skullgirls was a no-brainer for me. I love the game, and the developer has always been very open and public about their development process. They also have a proven track record for bringing this kind of project to fruition. So long as they were at the helm of this release, I had no worries. I don't even care if there are a few delays.

If a more sketchy developer were to try the same thing, it would not be so cut-and-dry. I would not go in for a pre-order campaign on a developer who doesn't have an established reputation. But if, for instance, Zeboyd wanted to do a pre-order campaign for whatever game comes after Cosmic Star Heroine, that would be feasible to me.

Considering it sold out in a few minutes, I would say yes.
I'm guessing they might have underestimated it a bit. I asked if it was possible to get my damaged AK replaced, they said no b/c they don't have anymore. :whistle2:| It's really minor flaw but it was packed like shit so I'm not super happy about it and was hoping to get it replaced.

It's a combo of that and having to sit on held orders. We've got copies off to the side that could be 10 - 25 copies over what we need but we won't definitively know until we get into shipping that stuff out. Holding orders hopefully worked well for the 200 or so that opted to do it - it just threw a few wrenches in our shipping and replacement operation.

I find it a bit unfair that the collectors edition was available at $75 for such a short time.

Why is the humble bundle 25 more?

Torn between getting Swindle or Dear Esther. I've played Dear Esther on PC years ago and will not play it again and Swindle looks alright. I want to order my playing cards though so I want to pick up one of these titles as well instead of just paying shipping for the cards.

I just got The Swapper and C&C for vita in the mail; Did Swapper not come with one of the art cards? I got one for C&C but only the sticker for The Swapper.

I got my copy of Curses yesterday. Everything was fine, but I did notice that I didn't get a loyalty program voucher this time, for whatever reason.

I have to assume due to the shear volumes LRG is dealing with, both of these issues may have just fallen through the cracks. My Swapper order is due today, but I'm sure it should have had the card, unless they stopped for some reason.

The cards and stickers aren't always guaranteed unfortunately as they're extras, and never meant to be part of the deal anyways. That's why they never send extras if you order extra copies. While it's nice of them to do that, I do wish sometimes it wasn't something that is met with mixed results, but again, they've explained in the past why they're meant to be something that's a bonus, and not seen as accessories included.

As to the loyalty program ticket, that does seem to be a little strange you didn't get a ticket, as that should have been included with all of the purchases. I haven't gotten my package yet, but I'll let you know what my results were. :D

As noted though, sometimes things do fall through the cracks since packaging is all inhouse, so just send them a ticket to inquire further.

Will be sold on LRG, or like amazon? Or do we not know that much info yet?

Thats still out of my reach. Need to pay off my credit card before I start blowing more than 50 bucks a paycheck on games.
LRG will sell it, but it'll be their own cover variant.

The Kickstarter partnerships will always end up with the KS variant, and the LRG variant, but the publisher will be LRG, or at least that's how they've all been like so far.

And yeah, $75 still quite a bit, but a tad better than $100 at least...a tad. ;D

I believe theyve traditionally sold the non-LE versions of kickstarter games directly on the LRG site

The Swindle updated to one copy per. :(
I agree with your proposal Square, of offering 2 copies in the AM, and one in the afternoon as demand dictates, but lately, I've been been so broke, I'm happy to see "1" all day, as it make the choice for me.

But overall it's good for the masses, as it is one less thing to bitch about, but I think this title would have been fine with the 2 in 1 option.

The people in the morning batch are usually the more rabid fans anyways, so the afternoon batch always feels much smoother, less complains, and calmer in general. Also, for Vita only collectors, paying $5 to ship a Vita game sort of blows, lol, although this time they'll ship it with the Strangers Wrath decks at least, so not too bad? :p

I know what you mean sometimes though as far as it being a virtual account, and helping me budget better. :D

Just grabbed a Vita copy of The Swindle and my Oddworld cards. Dear Esther has a nice cover, but decided against getting a copy of that one.

Almost forgot about this morning. Got The Swindle for my Vita, though. Just need to find time to play all these LRG games I've bought recently.

Missing the morning batch, and then having to wait around all day for (and sometimes forgetting) the afternoon batch, is the worst.

I tried using my code for 2x desk of Oddworld cards, and only got the discount for 1? I bought the bundle and the even even says I'm entitled to two.

I didn't bother checking out b/c of that. Anyone else have that issue?

What happened to it?
They jammed everything in the box pretty tightly. My AK PS4's spine has like... lines across the side of the spine due to pressure.
