IMO, I wouldn't liken Xbox to those systems (Vita, 3DS, etc). All of them have some uniqueness, whether it's exclusives or the fact that they are handheld. The issue with Xbox is that every game is available on PS5 as well and the experience is the same. If you want to grab a Xbox/PS5 physical copy just for having a physical copy, then yeah go for it. But not because it is Xbox.
 
🙄 Again, I meant how it'll be limited release companies that will be releasing most of the Xbox physical releases like how they did at the end of the Vita life's. And I'd rather get them now than hunt them down later, because for me it is about Xbox (besides the PS4, Xbox has always been my primary console). It's not about general fomo. I'm not going to say it again.
 
Lies of P is one Xbox game I wished I would have bought when it was available. I loved the game on game pass and was intending to purchase the physical version and it sold out and has not been restocked.

Considering it's the same dev doing Shinobi as Streets of Rage 4, what are the odds we'll get additional dlc and an anniversary/deluxe/ultimate physical release?
 
New Vault Drop (#5) is up but they don’t seem to have sent out a coupon on previous vault merch like they have in the past. That’s the only reason I ever got interested in these drops was the coupon on previous ones, if that’s gone then back to VGP I guess…

Interesting, I didn't get an email for this one like I did the previous ones.
 
Supposedly a patch is in the works that'll fix the gex collection. I wondered if maybe this was a handheld only issue because the pics I've seen haven't been docked switch 2's... but I'm sure someone would have tested it docked as well.

It's an issue with how Carbon Engine interacts with the console, so all of the LRG Carbon Engine games have the same issue regardless of whether they're docked or in handheld mode. Tomba, Gex, etc.

Correct. My understanding is that its an Emulator running another Emulator. In this case its the Switch1 emulator that the Switch2 uses for BC to run LRG games that already run on a modified emulator(Carbon Engine)
 
Interesting that Gex is still owned by SE. I thought it would have gone to Embracer when Crystal Dynamics was sold. Do we know which versions of Gex are on the trilogy (PS1, Saturn. N64, etc)? Are the GBC versions on there?

I’m betting it’ll be the PS1 versions because among those and the original 3DO, I believe PS1 is the easiest to emulate (and most other carbon engine have used ps1 also).
 
Yea probably. It's also the only console to get all 3 games on it. Wish it would be every version of each game. Would like to compare 3DO to Saturn to PS1 for Gex 1 and so on.
 
I got an order confirmation email but... the page is still stuck in "payment processing" for like 3 minutes now, I don't know what to do LOL.

EDIT* I think I got it, got the bracer edition for PS5 and then made a 2nd order for SB edition on NS. Even though first order didn't complete the checkout page, it does show up on my order history so... along with the email confirmation, hoping that's a good sign.
 
I expected them to go quickly since they were an oldschool style limited amount release and with no order limit to boot, but I'm glad people are getting a chance. I guess the Bracer Edition splits the demand some?

Was honsetly about to post the same... first 2-3 minutes were a bit nervewrecking given the glitches but my 2nd order was easy. Very surprised everything is still available.
 
The PS5 version of the Steelbook Edition is sold out now. Unsurprising but I'm glad it lasted a bit longer than expected instead of going OOS immediately.

EDIT: And now the Bracer Edition is sold out on both systems. Just the Switch Steelbook Edition is still available.

For anyone that got the TitS at LRG, is your order charge right? Mine shows $87.99 for steelbook edition + Bracer Edition contents for $110 which is more than the $179.99 price. And for my NS SB edition, it shows 87.99 which is more than the $79.99 price.

Ugh... they're gonna get me with this one. I played the OG game so many times but could not get very far... not sure if it was because the game was just really hard or because I just struggle with tank controls. But I loved the aesthetics and theme of the game.

On my order confirmation, I see $79.99 for the PS5 Steelbook Edition.

That isn't what he ordered though. People are assuming that it isn't in the same box since it lists it separate. Same as the Sonic game. It detaches when added to the cart for console to give you a standard copy along side the collector edition.
 
I ordered the PS5 Bracer (which is a soft CE of the SB edition + Bracer contents) and the prices for me show 87.99 of the SB part. I also have a separate order for the NS SB edition, which is still up showing 79.99 on the page but my order is 87.99....

He mentioned the Switch Steelbook Edition, which should be the same but I suppose if anyone could find a way to mess that up, LRG could.
