Line in the Middle of the Screen

sado

CAGiversary!
Ive been having this problem where there is a line in the middle of the screen when playing both the Fightnight Round 3 Demo and the full version of Condemned however most prominent in the FN3 Demo. I ended up calling up the tech support and they said it is a defect and that I would need to send it in. Figured I would offer this little heads up for the rest of the 360 CAG owners. Im actually rather frustrated by the whole thing but I guess its not that big of a deal =\.

Hmmm, I see it in Fight Night, running at 1080i. I never saw it in Condemned, however I can't check it since I traded it in.

The line only goes about 1/5 of the way up the screen, and then sort of fades away. It is the only game it happens in, so I was just thinking it was a bug in the demo.

Odd, I noticed that too, but only with Fight Night. And like flashburn said, it doesn't go all the way up the screen, just the bottom. What exactly did MS tell you the problem was? Seems like more of an isolated problem with a specific game demo.

They didn't really tell me what the problem was, they gave me the regular speil about "Your Xbox seems to be malfunctioning". Ill say this much, I don't notice it in Condemned unless theres particles or some kind of blast in the bottom middle of the screen. Its not as prominent in Condemned to say the least however its enough to bug me when im in a frantic moment.

But when it comes to the problem I was told it shouldnt be there. I wasn't told what the specific problem was, however they were nice about it and said theyd pay to ship it and fix it. Personally since it doesnt happen in the rest of the games I wasn't going to do it. However I didn't want to wait on it to later find out it was a serious problem that could have been fixed for free in the beginning.

Edit:
The line im talking about in FN3 seems to be the same one youre seeing but I also see one exactly like it on the top of the screen as well. The Condemned one is a bit different than that.
