Linkin Park - Minutes to Midnight - Free Online Concert w/MCR 8/22 1:30PT
If you all haven't checked it out, I recommend the making of MTM documentary. It's on the dvd but you can find it easily on youtube such as: http://youtube.com/watch?v=JRT8DrSObLs
Dastly, whats your source on LP findings? I usually check LPtimes.com and LPAssociation.com

EDIT: Added the Making of Minutes to Midnight Part 1-3 to OP.

EDIT: Just found out that the 3 Best Buy digital tracks, are live versions of: What I've done, Given Up, & Bleed it Out.

went and bought the special edition today and I can't be more satisfied with the cd. I love it, and I've been a fan since they started and I can't say I'm more pleased with the band than I ever have been. quite possibly my favorite cd from them ever.

I listened to it.. didn't really like it. They keep going away from the metalness of the first album. Plus, It kind of seems like the forced the F-word into the CD just to say it - seems kind of emoish...

Give it a couple more listens, it will grow on you.

They wanted to steer clear from the numetal sound. Honestly, don't you think another hybrid theory would just get boring? The sound has been overdone and is too easy for them to produce. They wanted to try something new. I personally don't like the album as much as I have previous albums in the past, but I am glad the whole rapping, heavy simple riffs and screaming trend is past them. Besides, this cd contains 2-3 songs that sound similar to old LP, but they are just more advance. Anyway, its worth the 9 bucks a circuit city. For the most part its good quality music that really shows maturity and advancement.

And for those who claimed they "sold out" youre either mad because they quiting singing/rapping about loud angry teenage stories or ya just don't understand the concept of...change.

Went to Circuit City early the morning, there was a crowd of people actually outside, and most of them went straight for the CD.

Anyway, picked up the normal CD and the special CD/DVD/MVI. Spent about $30. Love the CD and all the extras. Packed full of great stuff like Meteora was.

Also, I was at Hot Topic last night (where I found the employees getting the LP CDs ready for the next day). Evidently, if you buy a specific LP shirt from them, it contains a special tag that allows you 10% off any Linkin Park stuff from Hot Topic forever (at least, I think the lady said forever). I wanted to get one, but I wasn't fond of the shirt selection.

I can already tell that this one is gonna "grow" on me - as in, it didn't have the immediate impact that Meteora had on me, but it might actually be their best album. Still hard to tell; I was definitely surprised at how different the album sounded. A lot of it just doesn't really sound like Linkin Park - and that sort of growth is a GOOD thing, but it's gonna take me a little while to fully wrap my head around it and adjust. Is it just me, or was the overall instrumentation a lot more intricate on M2M than it was on past albums?

And like many others here, I was definitely hoping for more of Shinoda's rapping - especially since now I've been spoiled by Fort Minor. Actually I think I would have had a more unconditionally positive response to M2M if I had never heard the Fort Minor material! IMHO, Mike's little side project set the bar really high.

imho they should of stuck with the sound they been doing. i like linkin park, luv there last albums, but this one is so not them. i dont know i listen to the album again just to see if it will grow on me..;)

Umm I don't really frequent any Linkin Park websites. I found some of the stuff either by looking around youtube or googling(which ended up directing me to the official linkin park forums and linkinparkforums.com).

I checked out the other day a live performance video for Walmart. I don't remember the exact link but it was walmarts whole music dealy. Supposedly the AOL sessions have that movie theater performance online also.

ugh, goddamn this album is awful. not only is it not a good linkin park sound, but it's not even good music in general. i feel so let down.

I already got my Jimmy Kimmel Live show tickets, just wondering if they give first dibs at seating at the HOB to the Jimmy Kimmel guests or the people who purchased tickets. :whistle2:k

Finally listened to the album, at least they actually did change up their sound in a significant way. A lot of bands say that they're going to do something differently and then don't, glad to see that sometimes that isn't an empty promise.

Good on ya Linkin Park. Good on ya.

Here's hoping for another Fort Minor album, sooner rather than later.

Created a new LP MTM Gamercard if any one wishes to use it:

I've listend to MTM several dozen times since it was released and I'm really starting to think it might just be their best offering to date. Honestly, I enjoyied every single track.

Just came back from the Jimmy Kimmel Live show...the set was fucking awesome, I was at the pit at the House Of Blues and will most likely end up on TV...I was filmed as I came out of the double decker bus. They played: What I've Done, Bleed it Out, One Step Closer, Given up, From The Inside, Lying from You, Somewhere I belong, Numb, Breaking The Habit, In The End, and ended it with Faint with a slightly longer, hard ass sounding ending. It was fucking sweet. Only What I've Done and Bleed it Out will be on Jimmy Kimmel Live. It will be on at 12:05am tonight.

Watch LP and MCR tomorrow at 1:30pm PST/4:30 EST:

August 21, 2007 - Sometimes you just can't handle the crowds. We know how it is: there's the terrible dancer with earthy BO who keeps crashing into you, choking smoke, bad expense, gnarly heat, stop and go travel and overpriced parking nightmares. Some shows you can even almost guarantee that you will be so exhausted and irritated that you won't even enjoy the damn band once they finally take the stage!

Now, wait, don't get us wrong. We do love a nice show every once in a while. How else can you meet the fellow hardcore fans of your band, experience a communal group sensation, and fill your earholes full of some of the loudest, coolest, and most energetic sounds from your favorite band?

Concerts do, in fact, kick ass.

That's why when our sexy friends across the hall at MySpace.com told us about Projekt Revolution, a massive concert streaming LIVE online, we knew we had to listen. Here's the plan: load up the following link, invite some friends over, have some refreshments, and enjoy a massive, live, free concert event. Can you do six hours? You can from your living room, you lunk.

The dirty details:

What: Projekt Revolution
Who: Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, Him, Placebo, Julien-K and more.
When: August 22, 1:30pmPST; 4:30pmEST
How: Make with the clickin here: http://www.myspace.com/nowwhat
