Lips pack 39.99$ Microcenter, for Rockband Beatles.

If your looking to pickup some cheap wireless mics for RockBand: Beatles check Microcenter. They still have the dual pack for 39.99$ with the Lips game. These mics are now being sold for 49.99$ each.

Columbus, OH store still has 10 in stock(after my 1 purchase).

So what is the deal with these mics? Is Beatles going to support it out of the box but they haven't patched RB2 to work with them yet? Even though the standalone package in the stores for the mics boasts RB2 compatibility?

Is the patch coming through RB or through Lips? Seems like it would have to be game specific.

Glad I got Lips cheaper than this from Target a while back. Lips isn't bad either.
 
Well, not only has Amazon not shipped Beatles yet (so I don't think I'm getting "release date delivery"), forget the 3 part harmony for now. No reason to plan that Beatles party just yet I guess.
 
Lips mics work with GH5, just tried them today. So I imagine RB2 is just around the corner. Now I can trade in all those freakin wired ones.
 
i can confirm that the lips mics work with rock band beatles but it is so hard to sync them after a couple tries i finally got 2 mics working and the harmonizing option was chooseable
ohh and i picked the last copy up from fry's for 34.99 in downers grove il
 
The part that really bothers me about this, is the false advertising on the box if you buy the stand alone mic.
It says on the box that it's compatable with RB2**.

Lips Mics work fine with Guitar Hero Metallica now as well. Too bad its not to be compatible with the first Rock Band, but then again, its not to be compatible with GH World Tour either.

last copy of lips @ fry's in DG, IL? guess i'll have to swing by microcenter on lunch to see if i can find a discounted copy there.
 
Isn't that crazy that MS is selling the mics for $49 each now - when a number of us picked up 2 mics and the game from Target for $12.48... Crazy. Wish I had bought and extra copy of Lips now.

That is pretty crazy, and is why I yelled at my 20-month old for using one of the mics as a hammer yesterday :D

I traded a couple of those $12.48 Lips bundles into Gamestop-- wish I had kept one of them just to have a couple spare mics.

THanks man!! I picked up the last Lips set at the SW Houston Fry's, I had no idea they were $34.90 before you mentioned it.

Yeah, but at that point you were betting that compatiblity was going to come through, its easy to say now that it has, I wish I had bought more. But what were you going to do with a bunch of mics that only worked with Lips?
 
yea i searched and searched target and bestbuys for lips on clearance with nothing
lips was 34.99 at frys for a couple weeks now and now that all my local bbs sold out of lips for 50 bucks i picked the last one up at frys they had a lot back then

I am not interested in the beatles edition of rock band, but do have Metallica & several older Guitar hero games. Are the rock band & guitar hero mics wired only?

I'm just going off of this thread saying it works with Rock Band: Beatles. I have little doubt that if Harmonix got it to work with that, that it will work soon with RB2. And it is a little different to see rumors about a patch vs. seeing a Microsoft accessory in a store that states compatibilty as fact--they wouldn't have done that without some guarantee it was going to happen.

When I bought my clearance Lips, there were no such indicators of eventual compatibility.

There have been rumors of a patch since early Spring, if not earlier than that. The patch was supposed to come today, but so far there has been no update for RB2. I'm not holding my breath personally, but I REALLY want that damn patch.

I also saw it at Fry's last night for 34.99 (Lips + 2 wireless mic's). Had to pick it up. And yeah, this was across the aisle from the Microsoft mic, by itself, for like $20 more. Umm? Haha, oh well.
