My only tip would be to use the Marketplace Xbox links for Xbox 360 games.

These links grant you the full license so you will own the game if your Gold expires plus they will work on your Xbox One systems.  The games usually aren't added immediately but if you wait a day or two like I did for Indiana Jones, you should have no issues.

Hey guys, remember the Little Nightmares 2 giveaway that's supposed to give you a free game code on Steam? I finally got an email but I don't see any code, just a link to download their comic in the appstore/google play. Am I missing something?

It was a contest, not everyone got a game code. Same for me it was the comic instead.

They cheated everyone in the US. Europe got it for free instantly. They made it seem like you'd get a Steam code in the US too (within 2 week), if you signed on their website form by Jan 17th. Left a bad taste in my mouth when they decided to make it a sweepstakes instead. I'm sort of bitter about it still. Nothing about a chance to win or rules you'd typically see for contests/sweepstakes. I wonder if anyone even "won".

It was free on Games with Gold last month, so you can still play it on there.

The wording was bad. "Chance to claim" seemed like "opportunity to get it" They used words like "offer" and "while supplies last" which made it seem like you would get it if you signed up by Jan 17th or until they ran out of keys.
