Or, you know, it was likely Microsoft's problem because they delay about everything that gets released. Same thing happened with The Sacrifice DLC for L4D2.
Studio announces it, sends it to Microsoft. Microsoft sits on it for like a week. Everyone gets mad at the studios when really, it's as much or more Microsoft's fault.
And you know, we as fans don't help in general. We expect assloads of information, updates, etc. and are used to getting things way quicker than we did in say the 80's or 90's.
