I think that's a pretty good deal considering it's only 20 dollars more, and you get a good bit of stuff for in game and neat little bookends and plushie.

Those "game ends" actually look really cool; I was expecting something lame. I wonder, though, just how "limited" it will really be. Limited like all the rest lately that drop in price 3 months after release because there's too many available?

Have they said anything yet about whether DLC from LBP1 will cross over to LBP2? I.e. Costumes and the like? (Not necessarily levels, although that would be awesome too.)

Every piece of DLC from LBP 1 will carry over to LBP 2 including levels

I have never bought a collector's edition before, but with my $20 gift card I got from ordering RDR I am ordering this.

I was thinking that Littlebigplanet 2 would likely be subject to some $20 giftcard or Black Friday promotion, but I'm worried about getting boned on this one so I went ahead and pre-ordered. Besides, I'm a sucker for limited editions, and I adored the first LBP. I can always cancel later if I get cold feet or find a better deal, I guess.

I just called my local Gamestop and they don't have a SKU for the Collector's Ed. yet. Anyone got a timeframe as to when it'll be there?
 
Yeah, I didn't want to miss out on this one. I was hoping for a credit or a gift card, but it's cool... this is definitely worth it.

All the retailers (including Amazon and GS) are doing their own pre-order exclusives. Amazon also has the CE with ALL the pre-order exclusives. Whether GS does or not seems iffy. Do they have a history of carrying both types if they are doing a bonus on their version?

The CE has all of the DLC exclusives according to Sony's Playstation blog, so if you want to wait for GS it is probably safe, assuming they carry it.
 
Preordered at amazon. I still have a sealed LBP GOTY sitting on my shelf. Guess that'll be next to start off my backlog.
 
Went ahead and pre-ordered from Amazon using Prime 2-day shipping. Hopefully Amazon upgrades it to free release-date delivery. Oh, and some pre-order bonus credit would be nice too. =p
 
Jesus this is the freaking CE of the year for me. I mean i would gladly pay the extra $20 for the Sackboy but game ends plus a fuck load of DLC? Went ahead and ordered with my prime on amazon. Like everyone else I figure if a better deal comes along I can cancel effortlessly. I mean i do have $20 credit coming from gamestop with Halo Reach so that would be nice to use on this.

Have a weird feeling though everyone is going to preorder at amazon then they will 'run out' and GS will have a better offer and people will cancel and use up all their preorders but hey that's just me.

Regardless I say get your order in asap.
