Too bad - I was able to purchase everything I wanted from my computer (as I monitored the Amazon deals), turn on my 360, and have it all download a few hours ago. In fact, I may go and play Greed Corp right now while waiting for the 6:15 gaming deals. But, man, I should really sleep some time.
Clearing cookies for anything with live.com and xbox.com in Firefox (worked OK in IE) took care of the issue.

I got Splosion Man and TMNT - wouldn't be into those normally but pretty much any game is worth $2... that's the cost of a single play in an arcade.

On the fence about Trials HD and Greed Corp. I've heard great things about Trials, but I'm also *terrible* at those kind of games... is it fun or just frustrating? Greed Corp looks ok - might as well take a chance for $2 I guess.

I would definitely pick up both the CCR and Lady Gaga packs if I hadn't already drunkenly purchased them during Rock Band parties at my place a while back. Got my money's worth on the Gaga tracks regardless though - those are crowd pleasers for sure.
If you already have Halo on disc, is there any reason to pick up the Downloadable version? Any differences/plus or minuses other than no disc?
There should be no difference.
On the fence about Trials HD and Greed Corp. For 400msp, I would say it's worth it.

I got Greed Corp but I'm not sure about the other $2 games. I'm very tempted but I need add-ons for Alan Wake and Mass Effect 2 and after those add-ons, I only have enough MS points to get one of the $2 games and I don't really want to go and buy more MS points unless necessary.

Wow, thanks for the list. I just bought trials hd, splosion man, and turtles from points I already had. I'm not sure but I had 820 microsoft points and I can't remember if they are from purchased ones or if spending the 2400 points in oct ones have been given out yet. Anyone gotten their points from the spend 2400 get 800 in oct and if so did they send you a message about receiving them?

Yeah... I tried the demo when it first came out, and and ended up having the most fun cracking my wife up by making my guy thrash around on the ground after I wiped out. You're probably right that it's worth it for 400msp though - I've spent $5 on worse things.

These aren't really the games I was hoping for in this sale (like a lot of people I was looking for Deathspank/Costume Quest) but $11 for 4 decent games is still pretty nice.

I think a lot of people are forgetting the christmas sale microsoft had last year, hopefully they will do that again as last year they put a lot of newer releases up at Dotw prices. That's more what I'm looking forward to.

Huh, yeah I'm one of the ones that is forgetting that sale - do you remember any particular games/prices from last year?

All I remember was MvC2 for 560 points.

All I'm picking up from this sale is Splosion Man, TMNT looks rather bland and I'm not interested in strategy games.

Jumped on Splosion Man and TMNT.

I was also hoping for a Deathspank/TOV or Castle Crashers deal (figured it's too early for Comic Jumper), but hopefully Christmas will bring some great deals.

Nice, thanks - did a little searching myself and couldn't find that list anywhere. Those are some decent deals... I'm still kicking myself for not picking up Castle Crashers any of the times it's been on sale. Hopefully they'll give me another chance sometime.
Anyone download san andreas yet? I've read the xbox original has a lot of problems.
If you have the points, just go for it. I bought it and i'm already loving speeding around the ghetto on my bicycle being chased by a drive-by shooter.

Can't believe this is an xbox original...and yes I am late to the party :D

Ditto on the Castle Crashers, I have been patiently waiting for another 560pts sale.

In for CCR Pack, Greed Corp, and Splosion Man. I've never played the first Halo. Was very underwhelmed by Halo 2 and 3 multiplayer, and have avoided the series. Wondering if the single player story from the first Halo is worth playing. The $5 price is about as much as I would consider paying...
Snagged GTA, Greed, and Peggle.

1240 points left. What should I buy?
Portal's great if you don't have that already (or even if you have it on Orange Box but want new achievements and levels)

Yes, the first Halo is worth playing. I played it when it came out and it was outstanding (for me) :D. Try it out, I don't think you'll regret it.

edit: Just cleared my cache and got it. 2 years of using xbox.com daily and I never had this issue. I'll blame it on this borrowed computer I'm using.
I had the same problem on my cellphone. I kept getting redirected until I received the same message. I cleared my cookies and I now I'm able to log on.

Picked up Greed Corp, Halo CE and GTA: SA.

Snagged Splosion Man and TMNT for 160 each and I am stoked. I'm trying to save money this holiday season and I am more than happy to get 2 games with points I already have.

Last year I bought Worms 2, UNO Rush, Monkey Island, and Magic. So far the only game I've played out of those is Magic. Damn these sales making my digital backlog as big as my regular backlog.
Snagged Splosion Man and TMNT for 160 each and I am stoked.
Ditto. I'm so excited to give them both a shot. Two of my really good friends are in town for Thanksgiving, too, so it's going to be three person local co-op for us today. :D
Anyone download san andreas yet? I've read the xbox original has a lot of problems.
Yeah, I remember hearing about that too, although I can't remember if the issues were for the downloadable San Andreas, or playing the backward compatible Xbox disk on their 360's.

I did a search, but didn't see anything. I'm pretty interested in snagging this for 400pts, does anybody remember what the issue was (and if it was a big deal)?

i've always heard that the downloadable versions played identically to the disc versions, so if there are issues on one, there should be issues on both.

Really on the fence about Halo. Never played it, great chance to finally do so for cheap, but keep worrying that having never played Halo 1 or 2 that going so far back is going to be really hard to do (especially after having played Reach so much). Not to mention that my HDD is almost full and it's a 2.3gb download... I really need a bigger HDD.

How much is the CCR pack originally?

San Andreas and Turtles In Time for me.

So I decided to play Turtles while GTA downloaded last night and holy hell did the vast majority of the reviewers completely miss the mark on that one. When played for what it is, a reskin of the arcade version, it's great.

Are you sure about Braid? I'm pretty sure I would have bought it at 560 pts. Weren't there some titles that were Japan only? That would suck if I did miss out on it.

I'm fairly certain I remember Braid being on sale as well. I remember trying it and thinking, "Am I the only person in the world that doesn't like this game?"

Well I bought the CCR pack, just too great of a deal on a great band for a great game to pass up. (Once I saw it was marked down from 1600 points it was a done deal)

Going to most likely buy Greed Corps, going to test it to see if I enjoy it at all first though.

Still on the fence about Halo. Has it really held up well? I mean, if you came into the series starting at 3, would you still be able to enjoy it?

There were a few little screen glitches, like a few seconds of blinking in the opening. Nothing game breaking. I downloaded it last night, having fun with it!

Yessss! Halo 1 still looks fine. Halo 3 to me, is the worst in the series, but seriously, for $5, do yourself a favor and try it out. It's fun.

Picked up Shells in Time, CCR Pack and Halo:CE this morning. Just checked out the demos for Trials HD and Greed Corp. Both seemed fun and will probably pick them up after some contemplating. I'll probably get San Andreas just to pick up everything game related in the Black Friday sale (already own Splosion Man). Gotta say this sale is pretty awesome.

Anyone having problems with Halo: CE, mine keeps telling me game error, try downloading the game again. Downloaded and has not corrected the problem.

Hong Kong hard drive, maybe? You need partition 2 (the one with the emulation program) and that doesn't come on those cheap eBay drives. Pain in the butt to get it on there, but I'm sure someone here who's more technically inclined than me can help you out.
