What do you guys do to get all those points? I play the chicken dictionary game with anagram scrambler, but that takes forever to get 20 points? Any help?
I can usually get 1000 from Chicktionary within an hour and a half and I'm the slowest typer ever lol. Lately, Firefox has been running really slowly for me so I've been doing 500 in the evening after the daily rollover and then another 500 in the afternoon the next day. Once you've done it long enough, you notice they used the same letter combinations over and over so the 4 and 3 letter words are easy to get without the anagram thing.

I've got about 988 tickets left to get a controller (which is my test product, since I need to ship to someone in the US, and then have them send it to me), and if that works, I'll be working nonstop to get a Zune, which I pray to God won't be pink. Well, I guess I could deal with it. I mean, its a freaking Zune! That I didn't pay for!

Here's my formula (Though not everyone has the same formula. I'm a stay at home dad. I have lots of free time.)

If the Zune is 38,5000 and the limit is 1000 points per day, I'm obviously, like Oktober said, it's 38 and a half days. 20 points per puzzle is 50 puzzles. I have Chicktionary down to a science and can do a puzzle in 2 minutes or less. If I pick a time when I won't be bogged down with anything else (I.E. Child's bedtime and beyond), I can amass 1000 tickets in, well, 100 minutes. So, I play for under 2 hours a day, I'm set. My wife laughs at me for trying, but we'll see who's laughing when I have a Zune ^_^.

Every time I try Chicktionary (by hand!) I always get those stupid captchas :( it slows me down so much

Some people actually type fast, Live Club :p

I know, thats so annoying., Botters ruin everything. :(

I can usually max out on Chicktionary within two hours or so if I'm not distracted. After a while, certain combos are easy to do like "ate, eat, eta, tea, tae." I usually do that without thinking.
Usually double ticket day is a literal day, 12am to 11:59pm (PST, I believe). The last time they did one, I didn't play the evening before, so on double ticket day I could play in the morning, and then when the daily ticket counter reset, I played in the evening. I played for 999 tickets in the morning (one shy of the limit, then played a final game of flexicon for 25 more tickets. I did the same thing in the evening, so I earned 1024 tickets X 2 = 2048. Since it was a double ticket day, I doubled that for 4096. Not a bad day, eh?
Ah, ok...that's pretty much what I figured. Well, I hope they have another one soon.
Knowing my luck tho, it will fall on one of the days I cant be bothered with visiting the site.
(and, no, 4,096 tickets in one day is definitely not what I'd call a bad day ;))

QFT!!

I try to complete one bee/chick/basball puzzle every 1½ - 2 mins.
Unfortunately, if I type any quicker I get multiple captcha pop-ups, effectively nullifying any time I was saving by typing so rapidly.

LSC is usually nice to me, it doesn't take long before I get one I can read. It still only takes me about a minute per puzzle with about five captchas average.

five captchas per puzzle? Type slower yo! or take a longer break between words

It slows me down too much if I try to avoid captchas. Unless of course this is making me look suspicious, then maybe I might.

Thats a good system, Harry. I considered doing that with my brother, but since we're both well into our 20's and live on opposite sides of town from one another, its kind of pointless. I could see us splitting RockBand if it ever came back, but the Zune? Hell no. It's mine.

The toaster's back! Man, I need to get some points for that. Now I regret slacking off.
Big honkin' four slice toaster for 15000 points. Happy toasting!
We've been using the toaster since it was first offered as a prize. It's really nice. The best features is that the toast doesn't pop up when it's done. It just stays inside the toaster, so it stays warm without getting burnt. Very cool . . . well, if you're into toasters.

Just wondering if anyone has received one of the new 55,000 points xbox 360s. It's because I'm about 5,000 points away and I'm moving in a couple of months and want to know which address I should send it to. So, has anyone been able to receive it, and if so how long did it take?

Traditionally they process orders in batches so it depends on when you order relative to when they process orders for that prize. That being said based on smaller orders they seem to be operating like clockwork since the prize mall meltdown of November/December. I have received eight prizes since then and in all but one case (the digital picture frame) I have received shipping emails either Thursday or Friday of the third week after I placed the order.

Case and point since you asked about the 360: I ordered one 10/6/08 and received it 10/15/08 (9 days, not a refurb, no HDMI). I also ordered one (to a different address) 1/1/09 and have yet to receive it. If the timetable holds true I should get a confirmation email this week.

P.S. on the topic of the picture frame has anyone received that thing? I have ordered and received other prizes on that account after ordering it, but still no picture frame.

I received mine last week, and I ordered it on 12/19. A friend of mine ordered his arounf 12/24, and received his shipping email last Thursday, si it is looking like it is taking about 3-4 weeks on average. At least from what I have been seeing, most prizes are slipping to about 4 weeks.

I ordered mine when they returned, I believe 12/10 (maybe a day or two off). It arrived on 1/2 and prob. would've been earlier had it not been for the holiday stuff.

I got a new one with the HDMI stuff, everything it was supposed to come with (headset, etc.) and the Samsung DVD drive. Apparently though, others from earlier had received refurbished ones, some without HDMI cords and some missing the headset. Not sure if all the ones so far since they've been relisted have been new ones or not, or if it even matters to you.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone received any of this?

Food Network Favorites
Xbox 360 Wireless Controller (black)
Kameo (360)
Windows Vista Ultimate

I ordered all of these in November/early December and haven't heard anything, and my accounts are all legit. No botting/etc. Wondering if I'm the only one who hasn't heard a peep from LSC?

I ordered that food network favorites cookbook around the start of December. I received about a day or two before Christmas, which was good since I was using it as a present.

I have been really slowed down by anagrammssolved not having all the answers. I have been submitting my answers, though. I hope that helps others, though I don't how long it takes them to put them up. I'm about a 1000 from a zune, which is the only thing that interests me.

Thanks for the replys everyone. I think I'm just going to order it now, I'm moving in may and if it doesn't come by then, I'll try contacting customer support. Based on the responses you guys gave me I should be good to go.

Since they ship with UPS, don't they give a tracking number? Why don't people who actually GET their shipping notices just check their tracking #s to see where their items are.

Ninja, assuming you too get a tracking #, you can watch it to see where it winds up, and if you see a delivery attempt made, you can pick it up.

That is, of course, unless you're moving out of that city entirely.

I'm still going to be in the same city, just moving to a different house. The place I'm living in now, I'm just renting and I'm pretty good with the landlord and if I ever get a shipping confirmation I'll just tell the owner and I should be able to get it. but I'm going to be ordering it soon and based on other members who have received it, I should be getting it in maybe a month.

Received shipping confirmation on my White Controller I ordered very early January. That's actually pretty fast. Now if only my Vista would ship then it'd be perfect!

And like clockwork I just got shipping confirmation on the 360 I ordered 1/1/09. I think it's clear that prizes are now shipping the third week after they are ordered. I was surprised shipping confirmation came on a Tuesday though.
Argh I almost have the required points for a controller (need 1.5k more) but I'm gonna hold out 'till they get a black one to order it.
Why not just order the white one now and order the black one later when it's available. So you have 2 controllers. It won't break the 1 item per household rule.

But what would I do with 3 controllers?
The white is pretty ugly, so if I got one it would be black. The extra points would probably go towards a Zune or something.

Well, I really don't recommend holding out personally. Sometime things go and never come back. I mean, if it's not gonna both you really if you don't end up with one, then wait I guess. However, there's a good chance you could end up kicking yourself in the butt if the white controller disappears and the black one never shows back up.

I passed on PGR3 and Blue Dragon figuring they'd be up for a while or else return again. Neither has. Although with Blue Dragon, I was working up for the 360 so I'm not too mad with myself about that.

I am leaning towards this theory.
Bah, this is garbage. I ordered some things om early November/late December and people are getting stuff from January? I doubt I'm flagged.
Don't they just zero your points when they flag the account?

don't think so, they just don't give you your prize. If you email them asking where your prize is, they'll tell you that your account breached their ToS and whatnot

I ordered the black controller and Vista Ultimate back in December and received both of them after their UPS shipping-confirmation e-mails arrived. Still waiting on those shipping e-mails on my next three prizes, but I've gotten everything I've ordered over the last year and a half (though I admittedly took a long break between the fall of '07 and the summer of '08).

I also don't bot, or even use "helper" web sites or multiple accounts. Just grinded away with my original login, maxing out Flexicon and Crosswire (twice). I have to admit that some of the newer Flexicon puzzles were a bit difficult, but they all fall with time. Might even have developed a liking for anagrams now that I've been forced to move on to Chicktionary and its ilk.

As the prize selection currently stands, all I'd care for would be a large-capacity Zune or a copy of Office, and those are gonna take not a few days to build up to. My gaming needs have now been taken care of, so motivation to keep slaving away has been a bit low lately. Maybe something else of interest will pop up in the near future.

Got shipment confirmation yesterday (1/20) for a white controller ordered 1/3. Should be here Friday or so. It's not showing up in the UPS tracking database yet...

I'm in the same boat, but I'm not worried at all. You have to remember that it sometimes takes 8-12 weeks to receive your prize.

"Please note, in most cases prizes will be delivered 8-12 weeks from the date your order is processed, unless your prize is in limited quantities, backordered or out of stock."

This is probably a dumb question but I'm gonna ask it anyway, is it against the ToS to play from multiple computers? I'll be away this weekend and I'd like to keep working on tickets.

You know what, I doubt VERY much that its a violation of the TOS or anything like that, BUT with that being said, I too would LOVE to know the answer to this question. I am going on vacation this july for a week to North Carolina from the 10th to the 19th and all I can think of is that i am going to lose out on 10000 points. I am going to have my laptop with me and HOPEFULLY I will be able to play every night and get my points......I know....its sad.....

I have received over a dozen prizes, from several different accounts, and none of the accounts have been done entirely on one computer. I work in several different offices each week, and I log-in into the same account from different computers all the time.
