I am very excited about this double ticket thing. I have been playing now for roughly 175 days straight and this will be a first for me, here is hoping they do it more often :)

Working my way to a second 360 for the basement tv. :)

And Zune for the wife. Or maybe for me, and she can have my old ipod. ;)

What killer said. Don't play after 7pm Eastern (4pm Pacific) Tuesday. Then on Wednesday max out after 3am Eastern (midnight Pacific) and before 7pm Eastern (4pm Pacific), then max out again after 7pm Eastern and before 3am Eastern (midnight Pacific) on Thursday.

The last time I did this, I got 999 on my account, played a game of Flexicon to get to 1024 before 7pm (Eastern), then after 7pm, I did the same thing again. 2048 X 2 = 4096. Not a bad day's work...

You can play Tuesday (24th) as long as it's before the rollover to get your usual points. You don't play Tuesday evening. Then play again Wednesday (25th) between 12 AM PST and the rollover that evening for the first 2,000. Then you have to squeeze in another 1,000 after the rollover and before 12 AM Thursday which would give you a second set of 2,000 which would technically count as Thursday (26th).

So, as many as you usually do on Tues. before the rollover. Wednesday- 1,000 (which is 2,000) before the rollover and Wednesday evening 1,000 (2,000) after the rollover as long as it's before 12 AM. ;)
 
Don't play Tuesday after 7pm EST. Play Wednesday from 3am EST to 7pm EST. Play again Wednesday 7pm EST to Thursday 3am EST.

I'm really hoping that with frequent shopper closing that some of the prizes will migrate to the live search club. I've got a ton of tickets that would love to use on a Garmin.

The picture frame didn't show up for a while after the voting ended. The drill will come up eventually, but there's no way of knowing when.
 
Quick question for anyone who has ordered a soundbag recently: did you get an email with an estimated shipping date, and if so, how long after you placed the order? Just out of curiosity.

I always get confirmation emails with small prizes. It usually takes about 2-3 weeks from order to delivery for me, I live in California. For some reason I didn't get any confirmation for the bigger prizes (360 console).

You and me both. The two sites seemed to be rather independent before. Hopefully though, they might pull over some of the more popular items anyhow. There's quite a few things on the other site that I'd like to have.

I have a lot of tickets but there's nothing I really want at the moment. I'm not going to bother with reselling stuff. I have an 80GB iPod, 360 Elite, Vista and Office on my PC, a Razer mouse, and a Kinesis keyboard. I guess I could get a crapload of t-shirts and tiny coke mirrors.

Mine's been more random. Pretty much every big prize I ordered though, I did get confirmation on. Well, outside of the Zune, which was delayed FOREVER, so I never thought I would get it.

I know I didn't get confo on the journal & pen set, the Zune dock, the 1gb flash drive (this was another huge delay as it was the 1400 point 256mb flash drive from a good while back, when they did finally send it, they thankfully upgraded.) and something else.
 
I heard something about gaining points too quickly can get your account in trouble how is it even possible to gain too quickly when there is the daily limit of 1,000? I really have to make an effort to reach 1000, I can seem to do it daily yet.

I know using any kind of software to type for you is cheating. But I can easily type too fast in Chicktionary and get that pop up asking to enter a code to continue. It feels so good to get into a grove and type at my maxium speed but I'll get it with 3 and 4 letter words if I do.

Do you think getting that pop up screen too often would cause me to be suspect of cheating? Or getting 100% on Chicktionary all the time? I just don't want to be doing something unknowingly that will jeopardize my account.
 
Getting 100% seems ok. I've been doing it for a while and getting all my prizes. I try to type slowly though so I don't get the popup things too much, though. I worry about that too. But then I also worry that maybe I'm going too slow sometimes and they'll think I'm a bot trying to go slow so that I won't get caught. It's quite stressful.
 
I always figured that if you got the pop-up, and you answered it correctly and quickly that they wouldn't suspect a thing. I also figure backspaces help support your cause to prove that you're not cheating.

12 AM PST is 2 am my time so weds morning i play for 2000 cuz i didnt play tues then i can play wed again for 2000 giving me 4000 yes?

Yes. Rollover is 6 PM for the Central time zone so anytime after that and before 2 AM is fine.

I also figure backspaces help support your cause to prove that you're not cheating.[/quote]you guys give them too much credit. there aren't any built in devices which monitor backspacing and nonsense such as this. the only thing that takes place is packets are sent to m$ telling them that you have completed a game worth so many tickets, that's it. they don't have 20 people in a room monitoring thousands of people's individual games to see if they hit backspace or enter captchas quickly enough or don't solve all the puzzles. if you play legit you're gonna be okay, regardless of your activity. so relax and be happy and learn to breakdance.
 
ya know, i just read the TaC of the double day and it states that there is 1k limit on bonus points. Im still gonna test it but i don't know what they said last time.

Damn... how many flexicon points did you max out at? I'm at about 36K or 38K of flexicon pts and worried about when I'll hit the end. It's so much easier to just solve the flexicon without having to flip back and forth to an anagram site for chiktionary.

I haven't played Chicktionary, yet. But, with Spelling Bee I like to open two separate browser windows and adjust their sizes accordingly.

mine did have the hdmi input with the falcon chip. But I did order mines over a year ago and received it in may of last year. it only took six months to ship.

I think I got the last of the falcons they shipped out. I remember someone received one after me and got a refurb and they've been sending those out ever since.

So all the 360's they send out now are refurbs? Do they have hdmi inputs?

I just got mine, and it does.
 
From what I've seen here, the 360s come in retail boxes so I think they're just extras and not refurbs. I haven't gotten enough for one yet, so I can't really speak from experience.

My brother just got his 360 a couple of days ago and it's brand new. Just like mine it has a manufacture date of 2006.

Mine is without question a refurb. It had a couple scratches, and the sticker that goes across the disc drawer when shipped had clearly been removed and reapplied. All my instructions are in Spanish as well for what ever reason. Just because it comes in a retail box does not make it new.

It said this last time as well, I still got 2048 bonus tickets...

is that sarcasm? 2006 aint new. and the refurbs from MS do come in new packaging.
remember, they don't make the 20 gig model anymore.


I have almost enough to get another 360. but i rather get vista and cash it on ebay.

but im really waiting for some new prizes hopefully.

I did a complete check of the system and it's brand new.
 
Quick question - did the 360 controllers ever disappear before?

I thought they'd be back by now :\ I have like 9k points, gonna wait one more week for 'em and if not I'll just get the Zune Car Pack. Man I wish I hadn't been so lazy when they actually had them :(

I redeemed for it on January 30 and got it last Wednesday, so it took less than a month from order to delivery.
