Finally got confirmation e-mails for my Xbox controller and Kameo which I recieved weeks ago. Worried I wasn't gonna get any corespondence.
I recently just got into this(little late I know).

Ive heard about them limiting the max points you can earn. Is this true?if it is what games does it affect?
I believe that the LSC page on Wiki tells you what all the limits are... off the top of my head, I think Chick, Spelling Bee and the baseball one are like 23k or something like that. I am nowhere near that, so I can't confirm it. Others might be able to.

But, has anyone else been getting duplicate puzzles on Chicktionary? I know I have done some of these before. I am still getting points though, so I am not complaining - just thought it was weird.

I also got shipping info for stuff I received a month ago. LSC just doesn't get that shipping emails are time sensitive info. If I don't get it before UPS shows up at my door then it's utterly useless.

yeah, they are really slacking on shipping info. ordered my zune a while back and still no word on that. i guess ill just keep hoping it shows up on my doorstep one day.

Yeah they repeat a lot of the letter combos. There's only so many letter combinations in the English language that will fit to amount of answers the games require and of course a,e,r,s,t are used over and over.

No, I mean the 7-letter combos. I know you are going to get tons of 3-letter word repeats, but not the 7s! I have done wedlock 3x, spousal 2x, etc. It's weird!

I haven't, however my mom had "Hamster" repeat dozens of times... and she received tickets for them - and was happy when it stopped happening. (I would've loved to have such an endless well of tickets!)

There's definitely some repeated 7 letter words as you play through any of the anagram games. The max for me was 22,936 for Word Slugger and Spelling Bee. It's the same, or close, with Chicktionary as well.

In regards to my Play & Charge kit that I ordered on 1/8 ...

Thank you for contacting Live Search Club Support. Our Technical Support Team has reviewed and evaluated the game play history on your account resulting in a cancellation of your prize order(s).

The Live Search Club screens game play against criteria meant to identify likely use of bots, macros, or other automated programs to play the games. Those types of activities violate our Terms and Conditions.

Bleh. I guess typing too fast in Chicktionary is deemed cheating. :(

I'm kind of concerned now because it's been over a month since I ordered Kameo, and I've never used any macros or bots, I just type at 85 wpm on a good day trying to get out of this tedious crap.
lol typing to fast using bots
I'm with you, I type fast, and I've been around a long time, yet this doesn't happen to me. If you're getting banned you're either botting, or the world's fastest typer. My guess is the former.

Hmm...still no shipping confirmation on the Rhythm Soundbag I ordered on 2/14...then again, LSC hasn't been very good with that kind of thing lately.

They waited almost 2 months to say that? :0

I'd rather call them out on all of the obscure three-letter words that hardly make any sense in the first place.

How fast is fast to you? Like I said, I tested myself at about 85wpm (at least for the 3-5 letter words), and I get stopped at least once every puzzle. On top of that, they're still using those shit captchas that are impossible to see and I'm not even truly colorblind, so I end up messing up 1-2 of them before getting one I can actually see. I guess I'm a bot, hurrhurr.

Funny how you guys are so quick to side with this game when they stand to profit more by calling people cheaters arbitrarily and withholding prizes so players have to start all over again and take even longer using their garbage search engine.

Often, they won't even let you know that quickly. what I've seen (not firsthand), is people will email them month after month and get the same canned answer about it being in processing, then when their 16-18 week period is over, they send you an email saying you got flagged, and your order was cancelled. My controller came in recently, and I was super-fast chicktionarying it too, thanks to anagramssolved. I guess I oughtta slow it down a bit, lest they cancel my precious zune order which is forthcoming in the next... Um.. Month. o_O

Wow, hope my order didn't get canned :( Ordered a Zune Car Pack 1 week ago...so hopefully I get some email back regarding shipping info next week or so.

I've taken a good look around all communities of Live Search, including the bad ones, and it seems to me that majority of those people get every prize they order, meanwhile, us legit players get denied front right and center. Why? Because we type too fast, and dont want to be sitting in front of our comouters for 2 hours a day. Numerous times, have I considered going to that side, but even then there's less of a chance of getting stuff. If you play legit and fast, its still always going to be 50/50, but that decreases to 50% probability of prize getting.

In short: Its fully obvious they're letting bad people get their stuff, and they're aware of it, too. If a bad person gets one item, they'll go for another, because they've been made aware their bad system works, and will thereby exploit it. Assume that someone plays Chicktionary, or does bad things for it, that's 35 words to guess, 35 searches a game. You need to play 50 games to get 1000 points, so that's 1750 searches a day from a unique user, and assume said user wants a zune, times that by 38.5 days, it's 67,375 searches. Whether or not they send stuff, it's win win for them. Usually, if someone goes for a Zune and they get shot down, they'll either give up, or go for it again, therefore netting MS another 67,000 searches.

I don't know where I was going with this.

Apparently getting a shipping email is as sporadic as being denied. YOu may never know until UPS comes knock knock knockin' on your door. IT seems normal shipping time as of later is one month. I compiled that based on how long my controller took, and what other people have said. About a year ago, apparently, it only took a week or so. Wish I was playing then.

I've received everything I've ordered, and I consider myself a extremely quick typer.
I was using an anagram solver website like 98% of the people in this thread. I manually typed in everything.
Then you must be extremely unlucky. Speed has pretty much been proven to NOT cause your account to be flagged.

You know, I started on Club Live almost a year ago. I've received numerous items from them, including Rock Band, Vista Ultimate, Vista Pro, controllers, games, KitchenAid mixer, Canon camera, etc. All of this was received by playing legit. I use anagramsolved website just like everybody else.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I get tired of people coming on here and saying they aren't getting their prizes due to having their account flagged. I'm sure Microsoft has certain measures to catch those who are using programs or bots to play the games and therefore canceling the prize orders.

You know, that's a completely valid point, and since there isn't any way to tell you're flagged unless you send them an email, and they send a reply to that effect, or they zero your account. For all these people know, their items could be lost in the mail, UPS delivered to the wrong address. the assumption of being flagged can't be made without solid proof.

I'm glad speed doesn't effect the scores, because I used to blaze right through chicktionary puzzles in 2 minutes or less, and titantic in 1.5 minutes. There are obviously factors that affect how MS determines who's cheating, but how often they do it is in question. I'm aware of a few factors that get sent to MS upon completioon of a game. I'd like to share these, but I think it's against the rules of this thread.
Bleh. I guess typing too fast in Chicktionary is deemed cheating. :(
wow, that's BS dood. there's a bot that types chick words at 0.1 secs and then 1.9 secs every 5 words so that the mid game captchas don't come up. that is scientifically the fastest it can be typed without the mid game captchas. and all those people are getting their prizes! if you really played legit, you need to raise hecksville usa.

oh yeah, and aren't those new prizes just crapppppppp.

This caught my eye while I was checking out the new prizes. On the main page, I see an image for the 5001 and up tickets section that's not in that section yet. Here's the image if you don't see it:

Any guesses? Looks like something I might spend my stockpile of tickets on finally.

LOL! Its a combo of an end of parenthisis and a smiley face :)

do they ever put prizes back on like the kitchen aid mixer trying to win one for my mom but i need it to be a prize so i can redeem for it =)
Whew, good thing it's not a rogue colon...that just seems messy and embarassing.
That just made me laugh out loud on this troubling, hard to wake up and deal with day.

Thank you :D
They waited almost 2 months to say that? :0
I sent them an email last Friday to see what was up with my order.

I received my webcam a few months ago, they never sent a shipping e-mail for it, just an order confirmation one. I ordered the soundbag thing a couple days ago and got the order confirmation, but still no shipping e-mail.
do they ever put prizes back on like the kitchen aid mixer trying to win one for my mom but i need it to be a prize so i can redeem for it =)
Yeah, sometimes prizes do return. The 360, Zune, Kameo, and some of the kitchen stuff have disappeared, only to return.

However, I wouldn't really count on anything returning. For everything that returns, there's more that disappears to the club.live graveyard in the sky.

I'm trying for a 360, do you think I should order a smaller prize first? Does it matter? I'm just thinking about the people reporting getting flagged when they say they played Chicktionary legit. I would go out of my mind if I type out all these games of Chicktionary and then get denied falsely when putting in the order for the 360.

I would go straight for 360 cause you gonna be waiting for the small prize to shipped and that would make you waste more time and wait even longer for the get 360. Just continue and type slower.

Hey how many times has the zune disapeared and come back because I'm scared it might not come back if it disappears again..I'm only at 2,000 tickets for it
