Hi, everyone,

I'll be interviewing CheapyD on the ChatterBox Video Game Radio show this Sunday evening. If you're a fan of his, you might want to listen in. You can also call the show toll-free and talk to him or the ChatterBox team during the show.

ChatterBox Video Game Radio is an AM radio show broadcast in Phoenix, AZ, but it's also streamed live over the internet. It's also available as a download or podCast (it's actually listed immediately above the CheapAss Gamer podCast in iTunes' Games category). We're live every Sunday evening at 7pm Pacific, 10pm Eastern. For more info, visit http://www.chatterboxgameshow.com

If you take the time to listen to some older episodes, check out Show 92 - that's the episode when Gabe and Tycho were interviewed. You might get a kick out of it, but it's not a classic example of the type of show we normally do. Actually, the most recent one, Show 104, is a good example of a standard ChatterBox episode.

Anyway, I hope you'll all join us live, but you can always check out the recording later if you want. We might be giving out a PRIZE or two if anyone calls in with a good question, though. So it would be to your advantage to listen live :)

I'm going to be a guest on ChatterBox Video Game Radio on Sunday night (1/22) 7pm PST/10pm EST. If you are in Phoenix, you can listen on KFNX 1100AM.
The show is also simulcast on the internet through this link.

This is actually a real radio show and they have had guests which include the Penny Arcade guys and everyone's least favorite attorney, Jack Thompson.

I believe they will be taking calls for Q&A at (602) 277-5369 or toll-free (866) 536-1100. I hope to hear from some of you guys.

EDIT: Woops...I see it's been posted already. Thread merged.

be prepared for a lot of "howard stern's balls on your chin" calls

I'm in Phoenix, so I'll definitely be listening live. I guess there is finally a reason to start listening to the radio again, I haven't for several years.

These guys put together a good show I've listened to them for quite a while (see link in sig). They usually make the podcast available the day after the show and Julie hasn't been on the show in a LOOONNGG time, but she isn't as annoying as you might think and actually seems to know what she's talking about.

Anyone else listening? The link is on the main page to stream the episode. He hasn't come on yet. Go get 'em Cheapy!! Make us proud!!

Nicely done, Cheapy. I especially liked the part where you said you were planning on just saying Wombat's name over and over again as your farewell. I actually LOL'ed on that one.

Nice, I feel sorry for those guys sorta. I bet most of their listeners tonight was CAG's, and after cheapy said goodbye I'm sure I'm not the only one that turned it off. They only took one call at that and that was from wombat so were is his prize :D

Yeah, they should of extended the interview and got rid of the last part. I just didn't like the little report on the definition of fanboy's.

I'd like to pretend that I don't know Dan from NY, but knowing him, I guess I got off easy.

Oh, and Wombat was up way past his bedtime...you are gonna get punished!

alls I know is, that if i didnt call you never would have mentioned the cagcast, and I thought all videogame based shows had a question from thorbahn3?

Lame, I guess I called a little too late, you were already off the air. :/

They should of extended the interview and the Q/A session.

Yeah, there was someone on the phone who wanted to comment on the CheapyD, and I was going to bring him on right after Nathan Smart, but then he hung up. I guess that was you, Yukine. Sorry you didn't get in.

Regarding the QA... I hate to admit it, but there just weren't a lot of callers for Cheapy, so I just played it off and didn't mention it. Only one call went unanswered and I really did mean to get to it.

Oh, and yeah, the show is pretty short. There's not much we can do about that right now. We're working on ways to improve the show and possibly lengthen it. Hopefully sometime soon we can have that figured out.

In the meantime, I have to say that today's show was actually pretty good. I'm not one to pat myself on the back or anything, but everything went pretty smoothly, aside from my not giving anything away like we said we would. Considering we only took a call from Wombat and one funny pranker, I don't think we can really be blamed for that.

CheapyD did a great guest appearance. Thanks for that. You're welcome to call in and pimp your shit any time. Certainly if something goes down in retail land, I'll have to call you in as a resident expert :)

Thanks to everybody for listening, even if you did turn it off after Cheapy's segment.

Thanks, Alon. It was a pleasure to be on your show.
I'll be sure to post the link when the show is available for download.

You don't have to apologize. I hung up because I heard you guys going into another segment and that Cheapy was already off the air. I figured it would of been kind of awkward to direct a comment to Cheapy when he wasn't still present.

Anyway, as sevdustflyer has already said, you guys put on a pretty good show. I think what you talked about in the first segment was pretty interesting, and you guys did a good job interviewing Cheapy. I'll be tuning in again next Sunday.

..........................

Now, was anyone in the Phoenix area able to listen to the show via the radio? I tried to get it in, but it was nothing but dead air for me.

Well, I've been meaning to subscribe to this Podcast for awhile, and Cheapy being interviewed finally made me take the time to click the button. I guess I should have called to ask a question. Maybe I will the next time you have him as a guest.

And just so Wombat won't get upset that he wasn't mentioned in this post: Wombat. :)

Oh, and yeah, the section about the "Hoohah up in her" or whatever following Cheapy, was pretty bad. I think you guys already know that though from listening to your reactions on the show.

What!? I didn't hear that, it must of been when I disconnected to call in.

Was that the part where that guy was talking about fanboys? I killed myself twice while listening to that segment.

Yes, we all died a little inside during that segment.

I'd like to formally apologize to The Successful Dropout for killing him twice during my piece. My intention was to only harm animals. I hadn't planned on anyone dying as a result of it but it appears that I hadn't done my preparation.

Please, forgive me TSD and send my condolenses to your family.

In the meantime, please visit my truly killer site http://www.thegamerag.com.

By the way, Alon, 'twas a good show, as you have said. Cheapy D is an interesting oaf.

Is it me, or does one of the guys on this show sound like Wombat?

EDIT: Ok, I take it back. Wombat's voice is nowhere near as annoying.

EDIT 2: Wombat calling in was hysterical. Cheapy sounded so worried! Overall, the interview left me craving a CAGcast. I need some real content cause the interview seemed a bit one sided...

Someone should take the show and cut it down to JUST the part with David.
