See this is what happens when you have a board made up of 90% kids 12 and younger, they all say it is a scam, and some 12 year old says he lost 250 dollars. You guys don't understand this world. I bet you think those free IPOD, PSP, and Television deals are a scam too. Guess what, they aren't a scam they are legit. This is called a whole sale site. They bought tons of DS at launch probaly more then 100,000 DS counsels. They sell them in bulk to companies for 100 dollars each so that company makes 50 dollars for every DS sold. Nintendo probaly was selling them for 80-90 wholesale to these companies. This site has slim profit margins, and probaly payed Nintendo more for more counsels. They don't care about making lots of profit per a system, just lots of profit overall. If your unsure buy a game first and see if it comes. Where do you think the people on Ebay get their games from. They don't just buy a new game for $50 dollars, and sell it for 40-. They buy them cheap from sites like this, and then they are able to sell them cheaper.

Were there even 100,000 DS consoles pressed at launch? That's not a wholesale site, btw, because not even wholesale sites get them that cheap.. stupid GF'ers.

...just reading that pissed me off. The fact that one kid actually said that he did it and got scammed out of $250 and then they continued debating whether it was a scam or not for like another 7 pages is just retarded.

then they posted a line from the website that said something like "all users will pay an additional $250 which will not be shown on the checkout page" or some shit, and then they STILL continued arguing about whether it was a scam or not.

Even if the site were legit, I wouldn't spend a cent at a store with this policy:
"1.) They might NOT have everything in stock *and* 2.) for anything NOT IN STOCK they'll CHARGE you anyways and give you store credit. *and* 3.) all STORE CREDIT expires in 90 days."

But it's so easy to spend/waste/blow someone else's money....

I suppose CAG has spoiled me with it's wonderful vB markups, while GameFAQS seems to be running on some antiquated code that a 21st century man such as myself has no business fiddling with. :lol:

Agreed, the GF boards really are not very user-friendly at all. I'd kill for a 'View new posts'. [If there is one, color me sheepish.]

And this Gamespot/Gamefaqs merger thing is a PITA so far.

I've been gamefaqs'n for about... 4 years. A lot of their members are complete n00bs. I go there seldom now... when I do post on gamefaqs, I'll post on the PC board. Their game boards and console boards are filled with fanboys and idiots.

No forum is perfect though. They all have their share of flamers/trolls/n00bs/asshats..

Click on the "Message Detail" box in the post. You should be able to edit/delete your post from there.
