Use the 30$ off any purchase over 250$

buy some ramen noodles for lunch and...

Whoo hooooo!

AND Dec 14th and 15th TAX FREE!!!

Don't get too excited the stores need to have stock, with the $250 price tag and $30 off coupon most will be sold out before Friday. I just checked the Kanata store tonight they have zero 360's for the sale starting tomorrow.

is there anywhere else I can get his coupon ie online. I need it for tomorrow morning and I wont get the flyer until late tomorrow when we get Saturday's paper

The last time they had the no tax event there were no 360's or wii's just a skid full of ps3's. Luckily I was in the market for one.

I sincerely doubt RCSS will have Arcades in stock for the no tax event. 250 - 30 bucks is awesome though... Wish I had the cash I want a spare to mod.

OK--time to give back to CAG, as I've got a number of great deals here and RFD is less of a community now...

Edmonton Clariview did not recieve their shipment. They said they receive their shipments on Mondays and Wednesdays. If they don't have stock by this Friday they will issue raincheques (if you ask).

They sent me to on 137ave and 125st. Called ahead and verified stock. I raced down there and got in a 7 person line (8:15am) in the electronics department. A woman ahead of me was also looking to get an xbox, but everyone else was buying wii. Turns out they didn't have any ARCADE versions either, but after a bit of pressure they made an exception and sold her and I a Pro for $250-$30 after I bought a $2 filler item.

So don't bother with that location today--probably same deal as Clairview regarding stock.

I feel kind of sick about it to tell you the truth. I have a pro that died and is enroute back. I just wanted a unit with HDMI and the falcon. I may return it after Xmas and exchange it for an Arcade then if they're in stock. Yes I know its worth more, but I like superstore and everyone makes mistakes. She didn't know much about video games and I'd hate to think she got in trouble or was docked pay for it. They obviously lost money on that deal...

thanks OP!

edit: oh, and for those interested they sold out of Wiis and claimed that was the last shipment before Christmas.

^^Kudos for your honesty. I can only imagine what RFD would be like: they'd be all clamouring for your receipt so they could try a PM.

tempting to just get a new core unit to replace my premium for hdmi (have to use component and optical right now, what a fucking mess) and hopefully it wont be as god damn loud as the one I have now lol

I wonder if I can buy it and then return it with my old unit in the box lol >=]

none available at dufferin/steeles as of today. doesnt seem as if they will get any in beofre the sale ends either. they had one 80 dollar HDD when i was there.

If you can find a 360 live arcade system you can use it with it.

The no Tax day is done so you will not be able to get as good of a deal.

unless one pops up before xmuz

I take back all the mean stuff I said about RCSS.

I have never found stock UNTIL TODAY!

360 Arcade with HDMI
$250
pick up the flyer at the door for another $30 off
$220

I used some of the cash back coupons I got from filling at RCSS gas bars and my total was $217 taxes in.

Deerfoot Meadows still has one in stock.

I have had a painful time trying to get a 360 from RCSS. I've felt like I was trying to get a Wii. I'm Sorry it's a long post but please give me some leeway to tell a Cheap Gamer Christmas Story.

I've been calling RCSS's everyday and checking the store to see if they had stock so I could get a 360 cheap. Last Saturday I called the Westboro Store in Ottawa, they said they had arcades in stock and were going to put it out on Saturday just before the sale started at 5PM. I asked the sales person 3 times to clarify this was the Arcade pack it's green etc. He confirmed.

I was very excited as this was going to be my Christmas/Birthday gift this year and I going to get it at a good price. I already some cheap games I've bought through the deals on this site; Perfect Dark, Viva Pinyata, Halo Legendary and Gears of War from Shoppers Drug Mart $35 just last week. I've been wanting a 360 since launch but first the price was too high, then the hardware issues started to appear and I decided to wait a while and get a Wii instead.

Last Saturday at 2 I call again to confirm they'll put out the Arcade Packs out at 5PM and they haven't sold them yet. He confirmed. I gave my two sons a snack and packed them up to go to the store with me and planned to take them out to supper after we get the 360. We get there just before 5:00 the electronic section is full of people and it's a mess. I see plenty of boxes and products everywhere. I look at the display case and see stacks of PS3 and DS's and one Pro 360, No arcades. My heart sinks a bit but I think they just haven't pulled them out of the back yet. I get one of the cashiers attention and ask if he had any Arcade 360 packs, "Yes, here you go" and hands me a Pro. "Ah no, I wanted a Arcade Pack". I would have got the pro but it was a low lot number and probably not a Falcon. Then he said "Oh, go ask that guy about them". I ask the electronics guy he says no we don't have any....I was terrible disappointed. I just stared at him for 10 seconds not completely wanting to believe what he said. I asked the usual questions are they in back are you sure. He replied they didn't have any. Now I'm getting a little mad and decided to express my displeasure of Driving 45 Minutes to the store called twice and had 2 confirmation they were in stock and available! He didn't know what to do and nether did I. So I asked if I could at least have a rain check... He said yes. I tried to get a rain check for the no tax sale price but No, I got one for the $250 sale price for an arcade good for 30 days.

At this moment my 5 year old son starts to cry and says his tummy hurts. I'm confused because he had been perfectly normal all day. I said "Okay, lets go home." I had planned to stop by ToysRUs and Zellers to see if I could get a price match on the $250 price or at least pick up the Hard drive at RCSS in Kanata for $68 but home we go. Just before we got on the Highway my son throws up, I pull into Home Depot clean up part of it so I can drive home with out getting sick my self. I'm thinking this day is terrible.

I get him home, clean him up, make him feel better by playng some Bugs Bunny cartoons and prepare myself for cleaning up the car. I grab my iPod to listen to the Gaming Steve Podcast, anything to keep my mind for thinking of the Cold or what I'm cleaning up. My husband comes home I explain what happened to our son and later on he asks me about the 360 I tell him my sad tale.

Sunday we get a big snow storm I can't got out to get price matches or buy the Hard Drive at least. Maybe I'll just give up on the 360 this year and buy a PS3 at least I can watch Pixar movies in HD or a PSP.

Monday the roads still aren't clear and the kids have the day off school I decide to play my Wii. I turn it on nothing happens, I push the button a few more times nothing. I just got a replacement Wii from Nintendo last week because my first one had a faulty GPU...Now, I really wanted to cry my Wii is broken again I have Mario Galaxy to finish.

I call my husband he has an electronics degree and is nice enough to trouble shoot things for me. Nothing worked so I call Nintendo with the problem and find out that I won't have a working Wii for Chrstmas when I have friends coming and the new games I bought for my Kids will have to wait till after Christmas. He offers to express post everything and even send me a new AC adapter if that's the problem. I'm pretty well sure it's not the AC but at lest I'll get a second AC adapter I wanted an extra one to permanently install in my entertainment center.

Around 12pm on Monday my husband informs me there's a fundraising raffle at his work for the food bank and the prizes are 3 Wii's and a Halo 360 with some accessories. He felt bad at how things were not going well and bought some tickets for me thinking he could at least get a working Wii for me. I said thank you and good luck. What a nice guy. Around 1PM he messages that he didn't get a Wii, I said thank you for trying and he's a sweet guy. I get an email from him a second later with a photo of him grinning holding a Halo 3 edition 360 with a copy of Halo 3 and an extra spartan edition Halo controller that he won at the auction.

I was floored, shocked and really grateful.

Merry Christmas everyone! If anyone in Ottawa wants a Rain Check for a 360 arcade at the RCSS on Richmond RD PM me.

I'm not the only one having trouble getting a 360 my husbands co-worker had to spend 30 minutes cutting through a manager's lies at Future Shop two days ago to buy a 175W Falcon.

He's been holding off getting a 360 because of the hardware issues, he works at a R&D High Tech firm with my husband and they won't pay money for buggy hardware. My husband tells him about the 175 W Falcon 360 and the current 3 year warranty for RROD. His kids want one for Christmas so it sound like a good idea. He went to the store at lunch time and sees stacks of 360's he finds one with 175W written on the sticker confirming it's a Falcon. But he wanted the free Super Man game they didn't have any so he decides to wait. After work he goes back to the store to pick up the system any way and get a rain cheque for the Super Man game. He looks for the pile and can't find them. He asked the sales person they said they don't have any. He asked to speak to the manager, the manager starts spinning lies, we don't have any, we sold them, we have to hold them for boxing day I can't sell you one etc. They were hiding them in the back so they can get rid of the old stock! After 30 minutes the manager finally relents and gets one for him. To add salt to the wound the sales person tries to sell him an extended warranty because the 360's are known to fail...

I feel your pain. What ever happened to service in stores, eh? Ten years ago you would have called in, and a clerk would have put your name on one and held it 48 hours.

Now all you get is good for nothing robots.
