I've been beating Loz Twilight Princess and I'm so close!I have one mirror shard left!
The look on Link's face when he found out he had to collect the mirror shards was PRICELESS.

The control in Metroid Prime really through me off. After being used to Halo, etc., the First Person "Adventure" controls seem backwards. Like using B & A to move Mario left and right, and pushing up to jump. I'm holding out that the first two Primes will just get 3's control scheme attached to it and be rereleased for the Wii at a budget price.

Controls were definately an issue I had with them.

I like your idea of a budget re-release of 1 and 2. I'd bite.

Finally beat Rogue Galaxy, just under 50 hours. I can definitely see how that would push 100 if you really went into all the side activities. The epic 1.5 hour endgame was fabulous. Reached FFVI levels.

I'm finding myself really, really bored with The Darkness. Not even really sure what it is, but it's like the pace of the game is all off or something. I'm in chapter 3 and have no desire to go any further.

It's weird, cause the concept, storyline, and execution all intrigue me. I just feel like I'm wasting my time playing it.

I'm trying to clear out my PS2 backlog, but the games are so ugly (compared to what I am now used to) I've having trouble playing them.

Why couldn't more games have supported widescreen and 480p is beyond me.

exactly how I felt. except it was at chapter 2 and add the draw distance/respawning guys who get headshots from off the screen to my list.

I FINALLY found a wii-tag type site thats good to use. The older one floating around was terrible. Although there's a serious lack of wii sports with this one.

Thanks, I finally feel like my signature is complete. I can see what you mean about the long skinny ones though, it would fit into your sig nicely. Maybe email the web-designer as a suggestion?

Lunar Knights is pretty fun. Great music. I could see it getting old pretty quickly though. I found a copy really cheap the other week and I've been wanting to play it for a while.

I assume Shadow of the Colossus is a fairly quick game? Think I wanna go for something a little less involving after Rogue Galaxy and before probably Legendia or DDS.
I assume Shadow of the Colossus is a fairly quick game? Think I wanna go for something a little less involving after Rogue Galaxy and before probably Legendia or DDS.
probably aorund 15 hours of total play, 10 or so of playclock.

Great game.

Put Superman Returns into my 360 for the first time yesterday, and for all the negative stuff I've seen about it I'm actually quite enjoying it.

Well worth the $20 I paid for it IMO.

The last few times I've popped in DDS, I've just been leveling and getting skills. I'm in that underground sewer where you chase the brutes and lupa. What level were you guys at when you finished? I have serph at 50 and the rest are around 48 and 49.

Also, was it this thread or the RPG thread where people were saying it's harder than Nocturne? anyway, y'all are on crack. It's on the same type of weakness system, except it's way harder to manage everything in Nocturne--more variety in enemies and you can't just give your party skills. plus, it's game over if the protagonist dies. though there are definitely fights where you suddenly get your ass kicked in DDS-- the enemies are smart about hitting weaknesses for extra press turns.

Trying to finish Call of Duty 2 I am on the last chapter.

Also playing Crackdown again trying to get some achivements, and Oblivion.

Going to go through The Darkness and get all of the collectibles as soon as I get a chance.. Thinking about doing the same thing with Cog Tags, haven't gotten that achievement yet.

So yah, in MP2 I just
got the annihilator beam
and I'm still lovin' this game. The one thing I don't like is how you have a limited amount of ammo for weapons. I guess it gives me incentive to find those ammunition expansion things, but it's made me avoid using any of my powerful weapons for the entire game. Does anyone know if MP3 is doing this (without going into spoiler territory)?

Playing a bunch of games since I got my hdtv with a ps3. NGS just started chapter 2 and having a blast since never getting to play the original or black. Resistance been playing coop with a friend when he is over and just got through that lab. The Darkness on 360. Just got to the apartment trying to find Harry. That is about it for now lol.

I played a lot of Puzzle Quest this weekend. I keep restarting battles, so it's been slow going for me.

Also opened Tomb Raider Anniversary finally and played around in Croft manor. I like it so far.

I thought I was going to get Bomberman, but now that I'm considering swapping to a Halo 3 360, I will probably hold off on it. I need a memory card. :p

About to say goodbye to my 360 soon. Gaming isn't doing much for me lately, I might be a last gen fool for a long while.

I just 100% completed Cloning Clyde. Excellent XBLA title.

Been playing the hell out of The Bigs, as I rented it the other night. A little more than 50% done with the Rookie Challenge.

As far as Wii goes, I am finishing up Metal Slug 5 and 6 on the Anthology disc.

I meant to pick up Cloning Clyde so I can get entries to the Simpsons 360 system contest, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. I hope a CAG wins at least.

The Bigs pretty solid? I have it on my Gamefly Queue and am looking forward to getting it.

What were you Hotel Dusk fans smoking when you played it? I think I might need some of that. Only on chapter 4, but still... keep some on hand for me.

HEADSHOT!" excitement quality or even the quirikiness of a Phoenix Wright, but it's a well made game with a really, really cool and well done story.

It's far more of an "adult" game than any amount of blood, bombs, or boobs will ever get you.

Definitely. I don't play many sports games, but the (great) arcadey ones are what I love.

Sounds exactly like me. Now I really can't wait to play it.

Selling it. I haven't used it in months, and while halo and bioshock are exciting, $130 more dollars down the drain isn't. I hate to sound shallow, but I'm not proud to be involved with gaming anymore. I'm more ashamed of the time and money wasted on it.

I think Next Gen has killed gaming for me. I remember hearing a lot of people that were fiends in the 2600 days just getting absolutely sickened by the MTV-izing of the Playstation era. Much like that, the blatant fleecing of the consumer this generation with Blu Ray Drives, Broken Hardware, and Downloadable Content just turns me off. I think I'll keep my older systems and portables, and play through some of those games I've always been interested in.

There's enough quality stuff from PS2 on back to keep someone busy for a lifetime, if you really think about it. Maybe I'm just growing up, I don't know.

Just finished Metroid Prime 2. Phew. Played through the entire thing in 4 days, and it is not a short game by any stretch of the imagination. Now, somebody explain to me why the hell we can't get a game this well designed on next gen systems. I mean, the best sci-fi game we can get is Lost fucking Planet? That's it? I was wondering if it was just me getting temporarily burned out on games, or if the next gen was fucking awful, and... looks like the latter is the answer I've come to. Yeah, there's the odd next gen game that I thoroughly enjoy, but Metroid Prime 2 simply blows nearly all of the stuff I've tried recently out of the water. Perhaps game design is dead, or maybe dev teams on next gen systems just don't get it.

/rant

So I dunno what I'm going to play next. Maybe RE4 for the Wii or Super Paper Mario. Hmm... or .hack//G.U. since that's actually supposed to be good, unlike the first series.

or maybe ggx2 on xbl with apossum!

naw, that Apossum guy's a douche. I don't like GGXX much either.

Okay okay, yeah... I kinda wanna get GGXX now that it's ONRINE CAPABURR ON A THREEHUNDERD ANDU SICKUSTEE!! We'll see, foo.

But something to keep in mind -- GG is my game. MK is Jim's game. Tekken is Markman's game. CVS2 is Asian's game. Rolento... arguably doesn't have a game. But this is my game to kill people at. You will lose. Horribly.

Just for the record, I didn't like Super Paper Mario much at all. Don't know if you'd try it or not yet, but I was thoroughly bored with it in about 45 minutes or so. I'd recommend RE4 Wii over SPM. Just my opinion though.

Hmm... interesting. Yeah, I would've gone right for RE4 Wii if I hadn't played it on Gamecube already, but... I have. So I'm not sure when I'll get to the Wii version. But it's such a good fuckin' game that I'm very tempted.

Yeah SPM is dullsville. If you could just play the platforming without all those cutscenes, it'd be great, but I can't stand them. What a waste of time. I sold it.

You will spend at least as much time hoping that poorly written and slowly scrolling text would fall on a rusty nail than enjoying the sweet, sweet platforming center. When the game was announced I imagined with the 1-2, 1-3, etc. structure it would be a much snappier, SMB style game. I think there's more text in SPM than Paper Mario 2. Maybe it just seems like more because it's so much worse.

What the hell is with games getting everything right except that one thing that breaks them?

Yeah I beat it 4 times on Cube, but I know that I'm gonna breakdown and buy the Wii version soon.

I totally agree. I'm very glad I rented it first.
Yeah, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ninja Dog-san.
Speaking of Sigma, I finished it today. It's the first Ninja Gaiden game that I ever finished for some reason. Pretty solid, although the jumping got on my nerves (I hate how you're limited to that one forward moving jump). All in all, about an 7.5 out of 10. I prefer DMC series over NG still, but both are good and I will definately play NG2.

Also, where was the difficulty? Granted I only played on normal, but I finished it with the ranking of "Master Ninja" with pretty much no problem at all. The only times I died really were at the very end (Chapter 19) and that was only because
at first I couldn't figure out at that part that you have to jump onto the lower rock, because the camera was all weird and I couldn't see it.

Also, I still had a few Spirit Elixirs, 4 Great Spirits Elixirs or whatever, 5 Devil Elixirs, and 2 Great Devil Elixirs (I used one on the
evil Murai
.) Oh and I had a talisman of Rebirth.

edit: I also died a couple times
